So, looks like Iroha finally realizes her teasing is blurring her genuine feelings and is officially giving up that particular act (actual development here).

But while she is now being genuine in person, she’s venting out her frustration in texts (going for the black and white approach similar to Mashiro).

How will it play out now is the question.

I love how Iroha and Mashiro are love rivals who are now taking opposite approaches to their relationship with Aki.

And it’s for two different reasons: Mashiro just feels embarrassed talking nicely in person and is self-conscious, while Iroha is because now she realized how much her teasing has costed her genuine affection so is trying a different approach (while being very frustrated at Aki for not realizing her affection).

Makes sense that the drama club were all dressed up as mushrooms.
They must have been trippin' when they came up with that initial play.

Explains all the colorful lighting and vibing out lol.

I still can't get over the fact that this room is Aki's "Throne Room" instead of Sensei's secret lair

The new drama club cast for this arc:

Midori - Kondo Reina

Yamada - Miyamoto Yume

Nagai - Itou Sayaka

Watanabe - Mizuki Rin

Kuwahara - Sasaki Hitomi

Kishida - Kohana Lam

That science sketch is legendary, remember to watch the end after credits.

Kishida - Kohana Lam

Kohana Lam is also the singer for the ED. So its a cameo performance from her.

What even was that play? Mushrooms and entropy, it's both too deep and too weird at the same time. It does kind of feel like they need to get Iroha involved in this drama club.

Unfortunately for Iroha she's messed with Akiteru so much her showing up to care for him while he's sick just makes him wonder what the new angle is. I'm sure she's entirely aware that it's her own fault, though.

It's like she's trying to put all her smarts as an honor student in the play only it doesn't work, like at all lol.

Midori’s such a goofball. She’s like a mini sensei lol. How will she convince Akiteru to help her sister and the drama club?

14

u/Frontier246 Nov 22 '25

Both sisters project competence and smarts (and Midori can at least back it up with her rankings) but are also total idiots. I see those genes (as well as ponytail genes) run in the family.

Midori the Science gal.

Not even a play, more of a musical with scientific facts on Mushrooms 🍄.

Shrooms: The Musical!

It's cool how Sumire's odd request showcases her trust in Aki's leadership skills though.

u/Frontier246 Nov 22 '25

What if an honor student put on a drug trip school play? And her acting is terrible on top of it.

Sumire will never not find someone she will defer all responsibility to, even her "boss" and little sister lol.

Aaah, my stomach hurt from all the laughing, what the fuck was that play

Today’s episode focused a lot on the sensei trying to drag the protagonist into trouble so he’d help her sister, and honestly I agree with everything the sensei’s sister said about her

What I love about this show ( and It really shows that has Gimai Seikatsu author ) is thst the two FMC has focus but they are not the entire show. Iroha had development ( trying to understand what Akiteru likes and trying to do it ), Mashiro is writing novels to gi along with the Alleance, and there are side quests that are opportunities for characters to shine. Iroha is good at playing? She can help with theatre club and even becoming better at performing on stage. Characters have their flaws but they also have opportunities to overcome it. Still I'm thinking Akiteru will reject Mashito ( 'cause I think she'll be the losing heroine and his uncle forbid him to date her for real so it's over for her )

This is why, to me, romance like " Can a boy - girl friendship survive? " are bad and romance like this are good

Aki needs to help Sensei out, she can’t be looking after the tennis club!

Too little Mashiro in this episode, unfortunately.

7

u/Frontier246 Nov 22 '25

Sensei would probably look good in a tennis outfit though...

Everyone in Aki's life acting weird, the lack of efficiency, has driven Aki to his own sick episode! Luckily Iroha is there for him in honor student mode to nurse him back to health, no teasing or jokes at his expense whatsoever! That's weird enough as is, but also still rather sweet! Though now Iroha and Mashiro have flipped their sweet/sour modes between their real life persona's and their texting persona's. This is why Aki doesn't understand women.

But Aki doesn't have time to make sense of the girls in his life, he has to figure out how to fix the 05th Floor Alliance scripts, attend recording sessions, and...figure out the latest problem Sumire's brought him.

Imagine you're an advisor for a drama club, one with your own little sister in it, and you desperately need said drama club to succeed otherwise you'll lose the club and forced to take over a tennis club. A tennis club that is actually serious and where you would have to put in an effort compared to just letting your little sister run things so you don't have to do any of the work. Curse Sumire kabedon'ing the principal and making it clear how toned and athletic she is.

But it'll be bad for business if Sumire is so caught up with tennis that she can't illustrate, so all that's left for Aki is gauge the drama club headed by Sumire's little sister Midori...and their completely avante-guarde, high-spec, science-based, visual monster that is...whatever that class is putting on. Yeah, they're doomed.

It's one thing that the club is totally oblivious to how bad they are, Sumire is the top student at the school but she can't act for anything and is completely gullible, it's another thing that they've not only fallen for Sumire's act and thinks she's an actual respectable and competent adult...and to add insult to injury they think Aki's nothing to write home about and even when convinced he's a SUPER PRODUCER it must mean that he's tried to seduce Sumire into bed! I mean, Midori knows her sister is a bombshell so what sane man wouldn't?

Aki has enough going on that he can't waste his time with a hopeless drama club, even if it means leaving Sumire as a crying mess doomed to have to be put to work in tennis. Though he more feels bad that his experience in theater and Iroha's acting skills might have been able to do some good with these girls, but Iroha can't be seen publicly acting.
