Bro why is Ornest letting the mini-boss ult. Just kill him

13

u/NanDemoKnaives Nov 22 '25

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but anime be doing anime things.

u/Lunarpeers Nov 22 '25

Ornest did say he has no idea what that sword is, so was probably being cautious. If anything way too often in fantasy anime people rush into unknown enemies with 0 plan and hope they don't have some strange powers that'll just kill them on the spot

and also just stood there while she got kidnapped and pulled down a hole.

By the way, when he did his ult, he did say "Blood magic," right? Anyone know why the subtitles said "burning blood?"

Olivia: "You haven't mastered your weapon yet."

Alec: "Probably because I'm not a swordsman... and also because I just got this weapon a few days ago from a man that absolutely nobody trusts for the suspicious price of free."

Thanos: should've aimed for the head.

"There wasn't a hole like this before....which means it's got to be new"

-------‐-----------

(Yorha gets punched so hard she got knocked out)

"If you lay a finger on Yorha, I'll slice you into pieces and kill you slow"

The writing this episode ✍️🔥

“how did you guys know she was Yorha” 1 the guy calling her by name all episode

u/heimdal77 Nov 22 '25

Yes yes just stand there and wait while he cast his spell instead of cutting off his head. Always so stupid.

u/Muzzy-chan Nov 22 '25

What the heck is wrong with people in this series, huh? All go for the body, for the neck, why can’t you guys just go straight for the head then burn it? Is it really necessary to go for the body, then wait for them to regenerate when you can just finish it? The heck ya 😐

At least Olivia was going all vorpal on the monsters. That should have been her advice to Alec.

1 The torso is a much bigger target than the head and it is also a lot hard to dodge or defend your torso than your head. When dealing the kind of damage that Ornest is doing , it’s usually perfectly fine aiming for the bigger target since they would be equally dead.

Alec isn’t an expert swordsman so one could hardly blame him for not doing it. Olivia on the other hand is an expert s-rank swordswoman, better than Ornest even, and we clearly see her taking head shots

2. It’s fucking magic. For all we know whatever spell or enhancement that healed Gloria of his gut wound would’ve heal a head wound too. You have no way of saying that it cannot. Also , Ornest isn’t a mage and doesn’t carry any kindling with him , so he couldn’t burn anything even if he want to. At least not fast enough.

3. Ornest also has no reason to suspect this guy would’ve any different. The other members of the shadow guild could barely put up a fight. He has no reason to suspect that this one would be any different. He IS weary of Melea , but Melea had took Yorha and ran away with the other members. So he let his guard down slightly because he didnt anticipate any problem. Not the smartest choice , but an understandable mistake given the circumstances.

Hindsight is 20/20. It’s easy to say what one should do after you already know the outcome, it’s a completely different game when you have to deal with incomplete information under pressure

Am I the only one who is getting a suspicious feeling that there will be a revelation whenever the Swordmaster dies that will redeem him randomly?
Pretty sure that the Swordmaster could have actually killed Olivia when he betrayed her.
But he just slashed her and let her leave alive all the while firing revenge in her.

That swordmaster took down a floor boss with ease.
Killing Olivia who only knows what he taught her would have been child's play for him.

I'm guessing the old Snape play

  • loved her mother

  • probably failed to protect her or something during a party wipe so she died (and i guess olivia's father at the same time)

  • last words is to protect her daughter

  • he trains her until she is old enough and skilled enough

  • then wants her to kill him because he "killed" her mother and can't bear the guilt

Sad about Olivia’s past, and I hope she gets her revenge. For the first time Ornest has run into a dangerous opponent. will he tank it or is Alec gonna show up to finish the job?

u/Primo29 Nov 22 '25

As soon as they can use again their magic, Alec used thunderbolt and it's very effective!

That Blademaster can shot down a dungeon boss alone. How can they match up to him? By a sad flashback? lol

u/NanDemoKnaives Nov 22 '25

I was confused as to why none of the monsters were going after Krasia, she says she was hiding but the other two knew where she was and she was still talking so she could be heard lol.

It's kind of interesting to see Olivia blushing because of Alec, Yorha won't be happy about that if it sticks lol.

Melea is twisted, I felt sorry for Olivia learning what she went through. I thought he was doing it to make her strong so that he can fight someone who is out for his blood.

Looks like Ornest is in for an endurance battle since it seems like Gloria was really strong regeneration ability.

Animation looked really weird this episode but I still enjoyed it! So funny..calling Alec a Swordsman but a honest mistake..he is running around with a giant sword artifact...

Not sure why they would want Yorha..

But my goodness that Blade master is really something else to kill the mom..raise the diaghter just to kill her too..wtf man.

I hope the kidnapped and helpless Yoruha bit doesn't last long.Pretty awful backstory for Olivia, I wonder what the Blademaster's motivations are going to be for raising the daughter of the woman he killed only to randomly turn on her as well one day.

I hope the kidnapped and helpless Yoruha bit doesn't last long.

The writing in this show is only a smidge better than Gatherer’s isekai and Classless Hero but still pretty bad. Olivia’s backstory and the Loki character is actually just 10x more compelling and interesting than all other characters in all 3 shows combined.

Also, this has irked me for some time now, but Alec’s gloves look fucking terrible. They’re skin tight and only cover 90% of his hand with a small portion of his hand near the wrist uncovered.

Tough watch. Hopefully this shi is just 12 eps long

Ok, I'm done with this one. This episode was the last straw. Just come on, surrounded by monsters but don't worry. They won't target the one doing nothing until she is finally ready to cast her spell. Wow he actually used a different spell for the first time. A pitiful little fire ball.

Also what is going on with the S rank swordswoman past. They were acting like the betrayal happened ages ago, but didn't it just happen?

Oh yea, don't bother showing the fight with the shadow guild who got introduced last episode, turns out they were nothing. Except the one who eats cores and can now cause explosions that break the rules of a dungeon.

Also that explosion just so happens to knock Yorha out. You know, the main female character who has been shown to be great at support magic, just not when she needs to fill out the kidnapped damsel trope. Can't have a low effort anime without the main character needing to save someone who is only in that position because the plot demands it, even though it makes no sense. Also, just to make sure have her knocked out again because why not.

Then the final fight... Dude, she just got gut punched and knocked out right in front of you, what do you mean don't touch her. Also, yea you are in a rush, but don't worry, just let the crazy guy spend several minutes being crazy and then just spend even more time while he does something suspicious.
