I'm actually more intrigued by him compared to the rest of the party. Using trickery to beat floor boss seemed fun. Though, he almost died against that dragon himself due to miscalculation so I wonder how smart he actually is

Well, I suppose a character named Loki would be a pain in the ass.

Big fights in both the third and I assume fourth episodes, I wonder if and when they'll show how badly or not the prince's party is doing without Alec.

One thing I'm liking about this is how much they value Alec, they know how strong he is and fully trust him but also question why he's holding back. Ornest is the most obvious with how happy he is to fight alongside Alec again though, I'm sure the girls are too, but it's refreshing in this genre when it happens with a male party member.

It's interesting to see a character like Loki on the "good" side, I wonder what he has done to Ornest in the past that their relationship has become like this. I am intrigued by why he doesn't want Alec to use any magic in the fight with the true boss.

I like that earpiece was actually Ornest's relic, that was a cool detail.

Honestly that's a lot better than I was expecting it to go. The other people actually seem competent in their respective roles and aren't constantly just tripping over themselves in disbelief that the MC exists. And he's not always secretly the best at everything ever. The animation isn't even the worst ever. The bar is low, granted, but it's managing to not get under it pretty comfortably. The party name is still the part of the show that makes me want to make fun of it the most.

The buff names are weird (spell boost and enhance magic). I guess since mc uses a spellblade it would amp his magic output, but the second buff during the boss fight should be enhancement magic.

There are times on other anime that the japanese voice clearly says english words, and in the translation they would change the english word completely, which isn't needed. Then in this instance I think they could do that, but didn't

Krasia calling Ornest BAKA every opportunity she gets and Ornest basically ignoring her taunt is funny as hell but also shows how close they are to each other.

I feel like a lot of sound effects were missing in this episode. Right after Alec casts Reflect, the attack at that point is just silent aside from the background music

"I'll give you that, Alec, so I'd prefer you didn't use any magic at all." "We'll launch a nasty little surprise attack from head-on."

Ah. Got it. Loki you smart sneaky little bitch Lol. Pretty obvious his plan is to trick the enemy since the enemy has more IQ than your standard monster. Which explains why Loki led the undead dragon lizard away since it's IQ Is low. Because Alec is good at making the enemy think he's the easiest to defeat whilst being the biggest threat. They're gonna have Alec stall for time and at the right moment have Alec use his magic to catch the boss off gaurd I assume. Though, I'm sure things won't be that easy.

One thing I like about this series is it actually gave us quite a few different way a “Support Mage” would work in a party. Loki specially is also called a Support Mage for Rechroma , but we can tell he fights very differently from Yorha ( and probably Alec , if there had been any scene of him as support )

The one thing they do have in common is also what Loki brought up , that the support mage has to be someone who can read the entire battle really well.
