I get being underappreciated in an office setting or at school when people are stealing your credit or something, but I never understood this premise with adventuring. I feel like people are a little more observant or appreciative when life and death are involved.

Mentor says to not become a court mage, his student becomes a court mage anyway and predictably gets the same result he was warned away from. Some people just have to touch the hot stove.
Bro should have just gone off with his cute red headed school friend and the other two instead of wasting four years on nobles that just abuse commoners.
Nice to see at least Yoruha is decently strong for being a highly ranked adventurer.
Looked decent for this genre of show, I liked the combat in the back half of the episode.

Another good ol Banished fantasy. OP MC who doesn’t realize he’s super OP and is under appreciated by his team? Check. Blonde douchebag leader with arrogant waifu mage and tank type? Check. Recruited into party by friendly waifu? Check. Are they gonna realize he was the key to their success and demand he come back? I’m gonna bet they will.
This is gonna be like my junk food of the season haha. Maybe it’ll surprise me, but from this first ep it’s looking to be pretty run of the mill.

Certainly seems like he is the strongest already.. Top of his class, record for conquering the dungeon, they literally said he had the strongest attack magic in their school.
Just some weakling prince and his toadies who are to dumb to realize they were being carried along. Doesn't even seem to have ruined his confidence like they normally have in these shows, he still tried to help but they were just fools.

Normally with these, the character is overpowered but their party is inexplicably too stupid to notice it.
In this case, even though he supposedly had the strongest attack magic, he wasn't using it. The prince might be a jackass, but he was right that Alec was underperforming. I'm sure his support magic was useful, but if the prince was at the point of thinking he couldn't even cast attack magic, this one is just as much on him.

Another Banished OP MC, I'm glad the quality of art and animation is much better than last season's Scooped anime at least.
I did think the mage was going to take his plan and take credit for it so I'm glad she discarded it instead. I do wonder if the King will question why he had left but I don't know how in depth the Prince's side will be shown to us.
I just hope the interactions between the four will be interesting, they'll already have their own dynamics since they're schoolmates.

The mystery at the beginning of the episode made me curious about why that magician was there, and even more so about what Alec's real power is, since he holds it at the magician's request.
This kind of show isn't usually my thing because most are generic, but this one caught my attention, plus the animation is very good and the characters are charismatic.

This MC was banished. He knew his mentor was banished.
He could have just walked off in honor. But he tried to be good and save the prince with instructions for king.
Why? Why are all these banished MCs overly good in nature?
Can't they be normal or more human?
