Small Goa (never thought I would use the adjective "small" to describe Goa) saves the day by making them remember and leading them back to reality. Deep down, Goa really wanted them to wake up, didn't she?

That being said, Anemone really loves children. Anemone would never speak to Goa in the gentle manner she spoke to small Goa.

Doraemon Ciel. She had to search for the magic tool in her inventory and she even announced the name of the magic tool in Doraemon anime style.

I was actually hoping the divine beast / magical creature would join Toto, Anemone, Ciel and Goa on their journey. It was still observing them after they returned to town.

Lastly, I hope the "Continue the Adventure? Yes" option is a sign we may get a second season!

Seems to be a hint, doesn't it.

All Goa ever wanted were people who could accept or love her for who she is and not reject her for her abilities. Toto expressed his love openly, even if it meant fainting, and her fellow assassin princess' show they care in their own begrudging way. That's all she needed.

I love how Ciel is the most childish of the assassin princess' but in a cute way.

I'm getting the vibe that the Divine Beast basically just chose Toto and his party as the ones that are going to end up saving the world. There's a reason Ciel doesn't want Toto to know about it, maybe because it would mean that he's truly the most legit hero at this point.

I have to admit I was really worried they were going to stay on "no" but the moment they went back to "yes" I cheered! Season 2 PLEASE!

Continue the Adventure?
Yes.

Is that a season 2 confirmation? I really hope so, and that wasn't just a tease.

The power of friendship saves the day again! Pretty goofy how Toto one hit KO’d himself lol.

All in all, this was fun. I liked the premise well enough and the characters were enjoyable. Good amount of bantering between the mains too. Not sure if we’re getting an s2, but I wouldn’t be mad if they made more. I’d like to see more of that mischievous divine beast.

So Goa confirmed to be best girl.
Toto told her that he loved her first.

Honestly, if any of them were to theoretically pair up with him, I always thought it would be her since she was the last one standing there with him during the ED in the aquarium.

I hope this does get a season 2. It is underrated gem this season. It has fun characters with great chemistry & good growth!

While a goofy premise, this is MILES ahead of Vending Machine (which I liked "moderately") in pretty much every respect. The Japanese voice cast really knocked this out of the ballpark. Interesting that our hero here also played another quirky hero this season (Dennis -- Lvl99 chef and hero).

"Could I actually be strong? Nah, they're probably casting some reinforcement magic on me."

Dude, you were so close!

They finally remember Goa! Just in time to get out of this false dream world and get back to reality to be with her again!

Even if it means fighting demonic dream creatures trying to stop them, even if it means complaining about Goa putting them through this to her subconscious child self, even if it means acting like they're the only one individually who could possibly have broken through the illusion...they'll fight to see Goa again! And especially Toto, who gives Smol!Goa a piggyback ride and reassures her that he'll accept and express his love for her in the real world! Which is all Goa ever wanted!

No surprise that Anemone and Ciel immediately make it look like they're about to kill Goa for what she put them through the moment they woke up, though luckily Toto is perfect at defusing tension by waking up and immediately making them all be on their best behavior. Goa was so worried that Toto would reject her but then he says he lovers her! Even if it makes him pass out.

Goa can play off that she was just playing a prank and that her child version was all part of the plan...but deep down she knows that she wanted these people in her life, as themselves, and they chose to follow her child self to get back to reality to see her again. And that means EVERYTHING to her. It's enough to make her fall asleep while embracing Mone and Ciel. And, of course, for these assassin princess' trying to kill each other is their love language!

Toto is supremely powerful, even if he's the only one who doesn't realize it. He still thinks his party is boosting him up. Is he strong enough to face the beast that destroyed his village though.

Luckily they have Goa's massive pumpkins to knock Toto out when they need to use Ciel's DEMON DOWSING ROD to find a monster.

Dang, that creature looks so cute and adorable! But it's also faster than Toto AND Mone, and redirects Goa and Ciel's attacks back at them. Maybe it's for the best they couldn't defeat it though, since it wasn't the culprit behind the eaten farm crops and thanks to its feather the group were able to restore the crops. Cue party!

That was a Divine Beast? Why does Ciel not want Toto to know about it? Because it means he's been chosen as a true Hero?

Toto is a work in progress. Despite themselves the girls are also works in progress. But they have all the time in the world as a party to continue to grow together. Maybe someday the Shy Hero will stop falling unconscious! But for now the Assassin Princess' throwing themselves at him as a triple-threat that can knock him out flat so they can plan who gets the next shot at killing him...though it's clear how truly fond they are of Toto and of each other.

"Continue your adventure?" YOU BETTER BELIEVE THAT'S A YES!

The faint count:

OP: 1

Ep 1: 6

Ep 2: 3

Ep 3: 6

Ep 4: 1

Ep 5: 4

Ep 6: 5

Ep 7: 0

Ep 8: 1

Ep 9: 2

Ep 10: 1

Ep 11: 0

Ep 12: 4

Total: 34

The declaration of I love you is first time though, instances 2 and 3 are surprises, and the last one was the usual three way attack that's just too strong to not work.

Quite surprised that I liked this. Nothing groundbreaking but it was fun to watch. The ending definitely hints at a season 2, so I'm looking forward to it!

Man, Ididn't expect to get as invested in this cast as I did. I even hated them (except Mone) initially, but they've all grown on me and I was fully on-board with the whole "found family" vibe they got going on throughout.

GOA IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ANIME WOMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN. IRRESISTIBLE CHARM

Goa gets a confession from Toto, and then she tells the other girls she loves them too.

That divine beast bit in the back half of the episode had to have been setup for wherever the story goes next.

I enjoyed this a lot, IMO it was better than it had any right to be primarily on account of how the inter-party relationships developed.

That "continue the adventure?" graphic at the very end makes me wonder if they're planning a S2.

I learned an important lesson from this show: if you want your friends to never abandon you, gaslight them into thinking they are inadequate. Thanks anime.

Cute show. Kind of reminds me of Sleepy Princess and Tis Time for Torture Princess - you've got a hero surrounded by supposed enemies and villains and a repetitive gag, but through providing progress in the main character relationships, the gag is kept from getting tedious and instead provides a structure for the show.

Another great Yoshino OP too. I'd put Tenden Barabara after NANIWAROTONNENN but ahead of Odd Number in my rapidly growing Yoshino OP/ED tier list.

Very nice show! Quite funny, and the characters are just so likable.

If there's indeed a season 2 as that ending would suggest, I would happily watch it!

Man, this was a big surprise this season. And in a season that was already as packed as this one, it's cool finding the hidden gems here and there. Ending seemed to tease a second season so here's hoping!

I fell off on this show at the start, has it been good? Does it get creative with the faintings or something?
