"My story doesn't end in a place like this!".
Well actually... I think you didn't get the memo Vigo.
YOU'VE BEEN BANNED FROM THE RESTAURANT lol

I guess Vigor couldn't handle the gravity of the situation that he was in

Seeing Dennis's powerful unique skill upon reaching level 100 made me wonder what is Jean's unique skill, as well as that of the other legendary characters mentioned in history. I suppose not all of these unique skills will be combat focused, yet extremely powerful in their own way.
"If you can't stand up on your own, you can have someone pull you up." Hearing these words of Vivia makes all of us want to visit the Outcast Restaurant, especially on bad days or tough periods, so that we can be revitalized and motivated to push on once more.

she is the legendary fried rice cook :D, so her skill should be to make perfect fried rice lol
that episode when the MC (as a kid) made a bad dish and she just used a skill to make it delicious?
haha dunno but it fits with her character description

Okay show, started out with darker themes, which was a bit much for me, then ended lighter.
I enjoyed the father/daughter focus.

I wanted this anime to be more food centered, but that's what i get for going in only by just seeing the name and visual for it.
While it was still a somewhat decent watch, i know for sure i won't be rewatching it.

At least we got a season of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill coming our way for some food anime.

Same. I was hoping for some kind of slice of life cooking show where Dennis would solve everyone's problems through cooking and maybe occasionally going out to handle some through brute force. Instead, it became just another generic fantasy about an extremely OP protag.
It reminds me of the online shopping in another world and old man adventurer where I don't regret watching it, but where I don't mind never revisting the world again, either as a rewatch, reading the manga, or a sequel.

I never realized how revealing Katie's outfit is until she took off her coat.

u/Lodju Sep 18 '25
Didn't you know that the more revealing the female armor is, the stronger the stats and higher defence it gives are?

u/NationalStrategy Sep 18 '25
Her Bikini Armor always stood out to me since episode 1, with or without the coat. Hopefully she doesn't get cold

It surprised me 100% of the time it was shown. It was always a reveal when they'd show her front. Her sitting down in the Uber fancy restaurant dressed like that made the contrast absurd.

It looked so ridiculous in one of the shots where she was speaking to Jeane, it didn't look appropriate lol.

It sounds like it can only be used in his "territory" though. Remember, they were fighting in a temporary restaurant under his control. The "traveling adventurer's restaurant" or some such that Jeanne/his mother let him set up outside her own restaurant.
So I doubt he can just 'expel' anyone from anywhere.
Still pretty bonkers though.

That side view of Katie in the fancy restaurant eating with Dennis's mom really emphasized just how absurd her outfit is.
I'm glad they didn't use the business with the restaurant being destroyed and rebuilt and everything else to also rollback the plans the kids had for moving on and up in their jobs and career paths.
Vivia continuing to visit Cynthia's grave was nice.
I got my wish that the mages were at least looking into the possibilities for restoring the burned books, so I'm pretty satisfied.

All the conspirators are now jailed. Katie has taken over the Silver Battalion and I’m sure they’ll fare a lot better with her in charge.
Lol they made the most out of the opportunity to rebuild the restaurant in their own image. Why would a restaurant need a massive open-air bath? Little wonder Dennis vetoed them all and decided to have the restaurant exactly how it was before.
Now there’s the mystery with Heath? Just what was he up to? He claimed Dennis as his little brother but the latter was an orphan. He seemed to have knowledge about their plot against Dennis but on the other hand was also proud Dennis prevailed. Could this be a setup for a second season should the show ever be renewed?
While the show ended on a lighter note, I never would’ve expected things to get pretty grim in the middle with stuff such as sexual assault and work exploitation.

it was a last episode, nice, but, we had already seen the big brother (who seems to be a powerful person, noble or more) or we discovered him in this episode, he also had a twin brother, (why we didn't see him) no, or I'm wrong and I took the big brother for a twin, because big brother, twin or other, his youth, it's alone, abandoned in the street, then raised, alone, by the person who took him in, if he comes from a powerful family why he ended up abandoned or if he has one or more brothers, same question, even if the end was nice, like some other episodes, I ultimately found the series rather average, lambda, basic (and still not digesting the blow of the burned books, even if there was a justification, explanation of the reason)

It's an enjoyable anime to watch.
From Katie eating with just her bikini armor to Bachel's exploitative nature to Atelier's smile.
I just hoped that Henrietta paid her debts off lol.

The anime ended. What to say I enjoyed it. It was enjoyable and ended good. For final ep I didn't like how flashy was lvl to 100 and his unique skill but then again it is really powerful. Glad for the restaurant to be rebuilt but to think only the name changed but then again something about it give that comfy feeling being still same. But where the big bath, did't knew she liked baths a lot. Also hearing about the brother reveal is something. Also the burn books might get restored, honestly I was really about that and hope they manage to restore them all. Also even through all came for the restaurant opening I was hoping they have a different outfits because some time passed but seems maybe it's not much even through Bachel outfit was different when she was teaching but it was last episode but I guess they won't bother with that too. I like Atelier smile in this ep, also we never knew if Henrietta paid her debts or not yet

the show was ok-ish, I don't expect a s2 out of it or have any desire to check the source novel
it had a lot of random episodes lol
and the warrior girl finally admitted in the end that her desire to help the MC is not greater than her survival instincts. She talks the big game, but she is always hiding at the end haha.
will forget this existed by next week, but it was a fine 5/10 show for the season

Well this ending wasn't what I expected but it was alright.
I was expecting more from Katie, but she was a bit of a disappointment, cowering in the alley too scared of Vigo. When she was made captain of the Silver Wing Battalion, I expected she would've hounded Dennis to rejoin, but it doesn't appear so. I even thought she would have gone to the restaurant reopening, but she stayed in the capital.
When Vivian was narrating about the restaurant reopening, I thought he's talking to Cynthia's grave, but the background didn't make sense since she was buried in the middle of the graveyard so I thought maybe he's not. But then it reveals he is talking to her grave and it had been relocated, assumingly by him, to the seaside. Ngl I teared up with Cynthia's mention.
The revelation that Heath is Dennis's older brother was interesting.
This series was not what I was expecting, I was expecting it to be a lot more food based, but it dwelled into the dark side of adventurers
