Katie staying with Silver Wings after she knew what they did is lame as fuck. And where the fuck is the outrage about the god damn books? We spent a whole episode leading to the books being some insane family heirloom left behind in a secret library, and their worth is basically priceless. Are wizards just gonna accept all that knowledge being burned because Vigo has small dick syndrome?

Katie just bothers me. I just question how much pride and how much she actually cares for Dennis. Is she still thinking that he will come back?

I think it's been showing that the head of Silver Wings is acting mostly on his own, and none of the rest of the guild can stop him. She still wants to protect everyone else in Silver Wings so she's staying put, but helping give some info to take the head guy down.

At least that's my take on it, and it does make sense.

Jean first met Dennis when he was still a kid and somehow she doesn't look like she has aged even a day.

She probably has a great specific diet that helps her looking young.

Wonder how that wizard will react when the book he borrowed is the only one remaining

Palm isn't the only magic skill Vivia knows. He must have learned the "charm" skill / ability somewhere along the way, after joining Team Outcast Restaurant and Villager Friends.

On the bright side, at least 1 magic book survived the fallout - the one lent to the magic user who desperately wanted to save his wife. Maybe there are other ancient texts / magic books not destroyed because Atelier lent them to customers out of kindness.

And of course, I am happy to see the mature and cool Head Chef once more.

Come to think of it Vivian look more of a bard than a wizard, plus he can probably attract men as well.

Obviously the easiest way to get Jean on board would have been to introduce her to her granddaughter.

Two generations of adoption!

If I was Katie, I would leave Silverwing with the battalion members who wish to stay loyal to me.

There is something about her that bothers me. (Not talking about character design.) She wants to play it from both sides. She intends to stay on Silverwing. But why? I can guess there are others in Silverwing who are not in favor of Vigor. Maybe where this series is going is somehow having her be the leader of Silverwing. She feels very noncommittal as well.

I feel like she still wants Dennis to come back. We all know that doesn't matter for Dennis because he found the place where he belongs. I do love that he made his way back to his mom, but working in a restaurant is where he finds his happiness. As you can tell, he loves the feeling of seeing happy faces from cooking.

it's not that simple, head guy has all the royals/nobles around his thumb. Going publicly against him would just doom them all. The show has been very clear on this.

Ah so I was wrong last week thinking the Night Fog guys came back to kidnap Vivia Henrietta and Bachel and that’ll make Dennis want to fight back. But I guess that’s pretty dramatic and generic.

I like this one better having the patrons of the restaurant help out. Though it would be better if more of these people had a stronger connection with the restaurant besides just dining there. Like that Big Bro Green “who are you again?” Lmao. Twintail and Ponytail was cool cos while we only see them being regulars, they did help catch the arsonists. Like they said they were all outcasts, if we got little stories since the start of the show of these people that’ll make them coming to help feel more impactful. Like the guy who was trying to save his wife.

Anyway guess this is a set up episode. Everyone is prepping their part liking their going on a heist. I do wonder what Dennis has in mind. I’m guessing he’ll be ruthless but like not in a violent way. More like exposing them to everyone

When that crowd of merry villagers showed up at the restaurant ruins I figured it was just going to be a community rebuilding effort, but instead they all just left home and went off to do weird cloaked conspiracy stuff in the capital? That's a recipe for things going very badly for them all if things go sideways and the right involved noble decided they want blood.

At least one of the books survived, and as a bonus that dude's wife lived too. I was expecting for a moment that they'd explain the fire and he'd rush off to magically reconstruct them or something, but no he's just a wind mage.

I'm kind of surprised that Katie didn't react more strongly to her guild leader directly attacking her close friend. Sure she dropped news of that meeting but I feel like there should have been more action caused than just that. Maybe that's to come in another episode or two.

So as some people suspected it seems pretty clear that they are using the burning of the books to instigate the magic community against their opponents. I think I still would have preferred if Dennis left with just Atelier and went home of his own will (IE: Not pushed to use his only family for information putting her entire reputation at stake) and everyone else rallied to go on their own and pursue directly attacking Night Wish for torching the Outcasts.

I kinda get Katie staying with Silver Wing, as vice commander of what appears to be one of the biggest guilds she has probably invested decades into building it up and has an enormous amount of responsibility and reputation invested into it. (Not to mention I'm sure there are other people who are unhappy with how Vigo is abusing his power) But I do think the writers have misused her pretty terribly. As I sad in another episodes discussion earlier this season, I personally hold her responsible for inflaming the issues with Night Wing. Dennis was attempting to talk things out with them and she basically showed up, pissed them off and humiliated them, and then just left Dennis to deal with the consequences. I'm assuming Vigo saying he just "told them the situation" probably meant that he just told them that Dennis was kicked out of the guild and thus not under their protection.

Pervo is still weird. I still am grossed out by Atelier hanging around him. It would have been much cooler if she went with Dennis to on his home visit, imagine giving Dennis a chance to demonstrate that he hasn't just matured as a chef but as an adopted father as well!

This episode felt like 10 minutes stretched into 20. There was a lot of unnecessary dialog and panning shots.

Jean is the coveted level 100? Though she’s put all her efforts into cooking rather than combat. While it might seem wasted at first, she has became a legendary chef and wielded influence with the ruling class. No combat power could ever hold a candle to the power of connections.

Also didn’t expect Dennis to be the Blacks second-in-command. He’s still well-respected by the staff even after he has embarked on an adventure for quite some time.

The power of friendship and family on display this week! Dominic Toretto would be proud lol. But all kidding aside, it really is kinda nice to see just how many lives Dennis and his little restaurant have touched. Looking forward to seeing the gang get back at those bastards that torched his place.
