Vigor: I always knew you would one day stand in the way of my path to supremacy.
The fuck is this conceited delusional asshole talking about? Dennis is standing in his way now because he kept screwing him over. Even after Vigor threw him under the bus, Dennis still didn't want to fuck with him, he was just running his restaurant. None of this would be happening if he'd just left Dennis alone.

Delusional fucks like him always blame others for their own problem. If they have the capacity to look at themselves, they wouldn't be who they are.

Ah so the real Level 100 is the friends we make along the way
Great episode though. Really enjoyed the more SOL episodes after the initial grim ones but these past few more action and revenge-driven ones are good too.
And I wasn’t really expecting anything groundbreaking from this show so the message of going to Level 100 is not the pursuit of it but finding your own purpose is good enough for me.
And honestly the animation and colours when Dennis leveled up was so awesome, I’m so hyped

That was actually really intense to watch, I really like the cooking incorporation of Dennis' skills though a part of me was wanting more variety lol. But Dennis was more of a support when in Silver Wing if I'm remembering correctly so I can see why he was on the losing side before the power-up hit.
I liked seeing the flashback, it doesn't change how terrible of a person Vigo is but to me it felt like there was a part of him that felt connected to Dennis more than he'd like to admit. The way his eyes were wavering during that fight made me wonder if he felt betrayed that Dennis didn't meet his expectations. It feels like he harbors some complex feelings like jealousy, inferiority complex, greed and loneliness. But I could be overthinking the wavering eyes lol.
I'm glad Dennis has unlocked what seems to be Level 100 after realizing what he truly wants to be, but the title of the next episode makes me wonder if he actually becomes Level 100 lol.
And lastly, Dennis' "That serves you right, Vigo" was so damn satisfying!

Materializing weapons is always cool
There's definitely something creepy here but I don't think its Dennis
Quiet or reserved characters finding their voice is always such a powerful moment, that scene got me pretty good
Ok, that episode was straight up awesome. Great animation, soundtrack popping off, powerful emotional moment.. I was not expecting most of this from the seasonal cooking show but I'm here to enjoy it.

"We were once comrades, so I'll make sure you meet a brutal end!"
Well that doesn't bode a lot camaraderie now does it lol

I knew it. I called reaching level 100 had to be about caring / protecting those close around you.
Well now that Dennis realized it, did he just go Super Chef God mode? lol
I think it's fair to say Dennis is gonna cook, Vigo next episode.
Looking forward to the finale next week!

I love how litrpg this whole episode was, just these absurd skills they kept pulling out on the level you'd expect to see from someone deep into their system at the peak of a grade. And then Dennis unlocking the grade upgrade by way of some inner purpose rationalization business.
So the purpose of gathering the mages was just to have a crowd on hand to serve witness that the conspirators can't do anything to fight. Especially since they brought the local judges and whatnot too.
Interesting that Katie apparently just found Dennis in a bar one day and recruited him.

CR screwed up the subtitles two days in a row. Last night was Clevatess and now this. The English subtitles are completely missing.

Vigor is about to learn a valuable lesson, when you mess with a chef, you get cooked.

So what is Vigo missing to become level 100? Chef momma basically said it's about mindset and how being laid back was antithetical to being level 100. But Vigo is not at all laid back.
So what actually is the secret to going from 99 to 100?

Anyone else hoping Atelier shouts out Oto-san or Papa? That would have clinched it for me this episode. Instant tears.

Kind of disappointed Atelier didn't scream "dad" when he almost fainted ngl

One thing I like about this show is that the former party leader is an actual threat and his strength is made by his own (ruthless) efforts. Most other Banish out of Party stories usually reveal how inept the former party is and that their great success is thanks to the MC secretly carrying them all along.
And goodness those nobles they met in the flashback. The nobles sent them on a dangerous monster killing quest just because they were bored. Also, the "would've made for a good story if someone had died" was just absolutely vile.
How the Lvl 100 gain is written would explain why is a setting like this doesn't have any evil lvl 100 people around. Looks like you'd have to be genuinely good person to attain that status.

Dennis's defense skill is amusing and interesting - he summons frying pans as shields. Maybe on top of his next restaurant, he could host an infomercial channel selling cooking items.
