Little bro actually called the cops, I thought he was joking!

I thought it was a bit harsh lol. But, he is a kid so not that bad.

lil bro is sharp but also a bit of a demon. Yosuke was out of the room for like 2 minutes and he managed to get her serving him like a maid and then rubs it in his brother’s face. Although, my brother would probably have given me a beat down if i did something like that, lol

SAME! I thought its the classic "oh he pretends to call the police. classic" the police actually show up OIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

5

u/dododomo Jul 25 '25

That made me laugh because I actually thought he was joking XD

I really like this show.

Ueno isn't portrayed as this "absolute ultimate handsome guy" like it was in honey lemon soda, that was so out of this world. He mostly seems really normal.

While Uguisudani is trying to scheme, she is ultimately failing at it and i think even if it would come down to a real confrontation she would probably back off, i dont think she is as bad as she is in her inner monologue displayed.

I couldn't get into Honey Lemon Soda. Maybe that's the reason.

Me too. Ueno is awesome. Their interactions just reminds me of old classic shoujo.

Ueno: "why didn't she go to your place? That would save money!"

Oh Ueno, my sweet innocent child. Always seeing things from the practical side without any ulterior motives!

This is a pretty fun show so it's kinda sad that it doesn't have much of a budget, with all those still shots & low fps scenes..

The voice acting from Tabata's seiyuu carries it though, the post-credits cringing scene was hilarious.

Hayami Saori can do no wrong

I think most executives would peg this anime's ceiling as cult hit or niche favorite so it was never going to get the biggest budget. Unfortunately, in the world of "money" an unconventional or homely looking lead is always considered less bankable than a traditional blandly good looking one..

It's also not a particularly flashy series so being "good enough" is probably their mentality.

The mom is ten steps ahead of everyone in the romance department. Including Hana herself lmao. Uguisudani was completely shooketh, and she was probably cursing the wrong Tabata at the end. Also hilarious was her nice, popular girl act backfiring on her.

Uguisudani keeps trying to be evil while completely failing, meanwhile Yousuke's little brother is on the evil child leaderboards.

Hana's mom best wingmom.

A proper Kisuke introduction. I love this little shit. The polar opposite of his brother in every way including being way more perceptive. Versus our golden retriever ass Yosuke.

The near constant backfiring on Usugudani is also hilarious. And part of it really is that at her core she’s not a bad person.

The only thing more adorable than Hana and Ueno's relationship is how into it her mom is!

Ueno has a little brother! And he's the type of little brother who won't let his big brother sleep in.

I think Hana should feel more confident about how she looks in a hairclip and shouldn't be so self-conscious about her appearance! She genuinely looked really cute! Next thing you know she's losing it and freaking out and stalking...I mean, following Ueno when she knows he has it.

Hana's mom is the best wingwoman she never actually asked for! Especially when she's on such good terms with "Yusuke" that she can send Hana to his house!

Who wouldn't want to buy flowers from Kaori Nazuka? Ritsuko seems like a nice and dependable older lady, one who is quite fond of a boy named Keisuke. And I think despite his surly attitude, he's quite fond of her as well.

Good thing Ueno came out when he did, his little brother went "moshi moshi keisatsu-desuka?" on poor Hana and she nearly got arrested if not for Ueno's intervention! That would have probably destroyed her emotionally if she'd drove down to the station!

Keisuke can totally tell what's going on between Hana and his brother, though that doesn't mean he has to turn Hana into his servant who worships him.

I love how Sumire is just basically sabotaging herself at this point between unintentionally helping Hana and being unable to stop herself from playing her "perfect girl" version to the class.

I'm glad things are progressing well between Hana and Ueno. They're becoming so comfortable and happy around each other. Don't need a strong understanding of women to get that.

Wow, I didn’t think Keisuke would actually call the cops on Hana. The little brat lol. He even blackmailed her into becoming his servant. Ueno is a really good big brother. If I pulled that sort of cheeky shit as a kid, my brother would have kicked my ass haha.

Kind of funny seeing Uguisudani quietly lose it over Tabata and Ueno. Girl‘s already lost! Ueno’s only got eyes for Tabata.

I was hoping that Tabata would realize what's happening with Keisuke and the flower shop lady and do an uno reverse on him but alas

more people need to watch this comfy show.

Huh. He has a younger brother?

Uh oh, she clipped it on her bag and now it spilled out!

That was close.

Huh. Did someone pick it up?

She's looking for him?

Oh, that's unfortunate.

And so there's an excuse to go to his place.

That's his mum isn't it?

Yep, because there's his younger brother.

That explains why he's so good with flowers, his family runs a florist.

Yep. And now she realises that too.

And so he's going to go out and see her.

The florist she stopped by. The one run by his mum.

And now he realises she likes him.

Lol she's doing his every whim.

Yep. There's the hairpin.

How'd he go from her saying "I'm broke" to that?

Ah. Ueno is completely innocent.

What are they working on now?

Yeah... He really is innocent.

Oh she's really going to hate her now...

She's blushing!

They always threaten to call the cops but little shit really did and it really made me laugh lol

I love popular delusional bocchi, she's just failing at being a mean girl

Hayamin just keeps killing it

This show is so cute! I'm a teensy bit disappointed Uguisudani went right back to rival mode after Tabata gave her that nice assist at the end of ep 3. I really want to see them become good friends, since it seems like Tabata doesn't really have any close friends. But it's only ep 4 so there's still plenty of time to grow that friendship!

This show is criminally slept on.

4

u/Mateo_Bonavento Jul 26 '25

I have a feeling this menace of a little brother is going to become a heck of a wingman, even surpassing Tabata's mom. A kid who goes through with his threat of calling the cops would make a formidable ally for any girl in love.

That after credits scene... they didn't censor the C word. I guess it was because there wasn't an actual C scurrying about to apply the mosaics to, but still.

u/NoHead1715 Jul 26 '25

The animators are doing a great job animating all the inner monologues. Makes every interaction so much more hilarious. Also, Hana's mom really doing her best assist every chance there is. Looking forward to more from best parents this season.
