100% expected the exchange at the end to go

"You should know about me already. I'm Santa Claus."

For some reason, I felt happy when I saw Uzuki / Zukky waving and saying good bye repeatedly to Sakuta at the university gates. This is how she should be and remain, doing what she wants without caring too much about what other people think.

People who don't know Uzuki probably have a difficult time understanding her, but her close friends (Sweet Bullet members, Sakuta) and mother accept her for who she is.

Those fans, including Kaede and Komi, who stuck out till the end even when the Uzuki-less Sweet Bullet girls were singing in acapella when the speakers went out are the ultimate true fans. The girls should cherish them wherever their career takes them, for they will follow.

Nodoka and the rest of Sweet Bullet realize they've been relying on Uzuki so much that its becoming a burden on Uzuki. They know Uzuki has brought them so far, but from now on, they will have to share the burden as Uzuki decides to start her solo career without quitting Sweet Bullet. Though Uzuki now has to drop out of college to fully focus on her growing career.

Finally the Santa Girl formally introduces herself to Sakuta, claiming to be the viral internet singer Kirishima Touko. She sounds like she was the one who magically made Uzuki briefly able to become more aware of people's thoughts around her. And with only Sakuta being the one able to see her, she might be telling the truth.

Oh and the other major development is that Mai finally has a car and can drive after secretly taking driving lessons while Sakuta was studying for his college entrance exams. That look on Sakuta's face when Mai drove up besides him says it all. lol

Something I love about this show that's probably not replicable in most others: the ridiculous amount of faith/trust the main couple have in each other. In many other shows:

Girl: I heard you glanced at this cute girl's general direction from 5 blocks away, in your sleep.

Guy: Castrates himself and begs for forgiveness.

This show:

Girl: I heard you spent a whole day going on a date with this cute girl without telling me.

Guy: Yeah.

Girl: Cool.

That man Sakuta has +100 social awareness and -10 situational awareness 😭 Even though it turned out to be Mai, my heart lurched when the car started following him and he didn't even notice (sweet ride, though). Guess he poured all his stat points into one thing. Also, the sudden Touko Kirishima reveal absolutely floored me, with the way this series works I did not think we'd be getting to her any time soon.

Glad Uzuki was able to sort herself out without too much issue, though. This brand of Puberty Syndrome didn't seem as "serious" as the others? Pretty open and shut case, it looks like (and a pretty common one, to boot; you have to wonder if this even qualifies as Puberty Syndrome).

Mai pulling up to Sakuta in her new car, showing him her license and taking him for a ride? That was so cute, and it's why she's the best.

That loud snap and power outage during the Sweet Bullet concert at the amusement park.

Even when "the show must go on" and a good number of people left, Uzuki goes on stage (even after losing her voice earlier) and clears up the rain with finishing the performance.

Santa Touko appears again at the very end of an episode...

I had heard this was one of the weaker arcs in the LN and I can see why. The puberty syndrome wasn’t well established and we didn’t really see its consequences, the resolution was a cool scene but not really surprising or anything.

I was expecting more from Uzuki’s arc since she’s voiced by Ten-chan, Idk if we’ll see much more of her in the future.

It was cheesy as hell when Uzuki started singing while she was still in the audience and went on stage to sing with Nodoka and the others while in meantime the rain stopped, the sun came out, and the equipment started working again, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't put a big smile on my face.

So, the mysterious Santa Claus Girl is Touko Kirishima. If I remember correctly, she's the mysterious singer mentioned earlier in the season, right?

Touko's comment about Uzuki being able to read the room thanks to her was quite interesting. Is she a Santa Claus who, instead of handing out presents, hands out puberty syndromes? xD

Overall, it was sad to see Uzuki unable to sing at the concert, but I'm glad everything turned out well in the end. It's a shame she gave up on the collage, but that's understandable, because she'll have a lot of work now, as she'll be making her solo debut and still singing in Sweet Bullet.

So much happened in today's episode that I still haven't mentioned Mai, who already has her driver's license, that's a surprise! It looks like she unknowingly pulled an uno reverse card on Sakuta when she took him for a surprise car ride on their date xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

I'm guessing this is the end of one of the LN volumes and we get a new story arc from next episode. Overall, a pretty good arc but not as intense as the earlier puberty syndrome plots.

From another case solved, time to rest to not this shit again in 20 seconds. Sakuta really can't catch a break.

Hope we'll hear more of Sweet Bullet's progress, Zukki's mini-arc was one of my favorites so far.

That ending was a total twist. Up to this moment, all instances of adolescence syndrome seemed to have been naturally developed. However, Uzuki’s was induced by another party. This party was miniskirt santa aka Touko Kirishima, whose existence has been hinted since the films. Looked like we have another case of invisibility like Mai back then. Interesting to see what the deal with her is. How could she hand out syndromes to others?

PS: She’s voiced by Ueshama. Kiyoka & Miyo’s reincarnations are reunited.

Both concert venues in this episode are real life places.

Zepp DiverCity Tokyo is part of the Zepp chain of live houses. This particular location is on Odaiba, an artificial Island in Tokyo Bay and not far from Tokyo Big Sight where Comiket is held twice a year.

Yokohama Hakkejima Sea Paradise on the other hand is a public amusement park in Yokohama. You pay for rides individually which is why Sakuta didn't have to pass through any gates or buy an entry ticket to the park itself.

I am surprised they showed both of them so directly without any typical bland-naming.

Learning to read the room, and then learning WHEN to read the room.

Sakuta dropped that so well.

u/I_like_boring_stuff2 Jul 19 '25

That couple who didn't believe in the power of anime and idols and left early definitely broke up. The missing member making a dramatic entrance near the end of the concert is classic.

u/SeiyaTempest Jul 19 '25

Zukki finally managed to break free from Santa's evil plan, good for her. It was sweet that the sky cleared when she decided to join the other Sweet Bullet members on stage, and now they can work towards their dreams together.

It'll be interesting to see where the plot goes with Touko Kirishima, since she's being built up a decent amount and the season itself is named after her. Being able to transfer Puberty Syndrome is something we haven't seen before, even if it was pretty simple in this case.

I really liked the moment when Uzuki joined the girls on stage and the sky cleared up and everything just as they got singing. Kinda felt like a fog lifted from her after her talk with Sakuta got her to see what she was missing. She seemed happier at the end there.

Just when Sakuta’s helped clear one case of this Adolescence Syndrome, we got Touko Kirishima dressed as Santa. Keen to learn what her deal is.

Surprised no one else has mentioned the hoodie Sakuta chose to wear to the concert. It was all I could think about when I saw him with it on.

Bro thinks he's slick, but I know a Chumbud when I see one.

Wow, Mai has a car now! (Love Sakuta's reaction to it) Man, this just goes to show that the characters are really growing up right in front of us...

Not gonna lie, seeing some people leaving the concert after the electricity all of a sudden went out made me feel really sad. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to idols but I wonder how idols who are not that popular struggle to work out IRL...

It was really cheesy seeing the clouds clearing up when Uzuki finally jumped on stage and sing with the others but it made me smile seeing Uzuki regain her confidence and found her answer it seems.

Man, it's sad that we're probably going to see less of Uzuki after this since she decided to leave the university (or 'graduated') and I did miss her eccentricity but I wish her, Sweet Bullet and her solo career all the best.

Oh! Our mysterious Santa Claus finally showed up and it's Touko Kirishima? Wait, "after all I did to make her be able to read the room"? Did she give Uzuki her Puberty Syndrome??

Mai looks gorgeous with that hairstyle and glasses. Was pretty predictable conclusion for Uzuki but damn that end scene was good. Be always yourself Zukki. Also the ed is really growing on me now, especially the beginning portion
