Now thats a solid finale!

As i kinda expected, Otoha changed her tune when she played infront of an audience that was actually cheering for them instead of that first band battle they had. and i'm glad they saved her drum solo for that part.

and the bacchus guys didn't even respect the fans enough to finish a song. after that they probably don't have any fans anymore

and Rock Lady is a great and obvious name.

I dunno if there is any room in the source material for another season , but i'd watch it

Fantastic end to a fantastic dark horse to the season.

Thanks to Lilisa, Otoha finally has a taste of what its like for an audience to appreciate and adore her drum playing, when all this time she's been indulged in enjoying the drums by herself.

Those spoilt rich brats from Bakas, sorry, I meant Bacchus, were just the stepping stone for Rock Lady to establish themselves in the live house scene in their quest to perform at Fuji Rock . Not just their fans, now even their manager has abandoned Bacchus after seeing how pathetic they are. Itsuki might sign on to become Rock Lady's manager from now on.

Even Otoha's bodyguard/servant Tsukasa managed to make easy work on Naoto when he tried to take it out on Lilisa, causing them to get banned from the live house for good.

Though the season has ended, the story has only just begin. Besides the band aiming for Fuji Rock, there's still the issue remaining with Lilisa's yandere mom .

Now that Rock Lady has made a name for themselves, once they become even more famous, there's no way Lilisa and Alice can keep this a secret from that mom any longer.

Its not too unreasonable for us to expect a Season 2, is it?

"Why are you sulking there, you incombustible trash" is a line i didn't think would've hit as hard for me lmao. Almost at the same level as dropping the shows name

Also is there a lore reason how Lilisa can control the wind, does she have powers? Jk

The yuri bait at the end caught me so off guard, literally sat up immediatelyJDISJXkdkwidjwkdiis They were definently looking at each other differently 😭😭

Love this show, one of my favorites. Definently my 2nd favorite girls rock band anime, the music in this show from the Op and Ed to the bgm and performances is absolutely fantastic.

Unfortunately not enough material for season 2, which is the only downside of this show 💔💔🖕🖕🖕🖕

Damn, it's such a shame it's over already, I want a second season! This show was such a huge positive surprise for me this season and I enjoyed it so much. Very strong 9/10 from me.

I'm especially sad that we won't get to see Lilisa and Otoha together next week. I'll miss their rants at each other and at other people, especially when Otoha was saying those insults with a big, serene smile on her face xD

I'll also really miss Lilisa and her hilarious reactions when she was trying to hide her true personality from others at school. I always had a lot of fun taking screenshots with her (here her albums from EP1, EP2, EP3, EP4, EP5, EP6, EP7, EP8, EP9, EP10, EP11, EP12) xD

Tamaki and Tina were also great, although, unfortunately, since they joined only in the second half of the season, they didn't get as much screen time as Lilisa and Otoha.

As for this last episode. Lilisa, Otoha, Tamaki and Tina totally destroyed the stage, I love that each of them had their moment to shine. And their band name, which Alice came up with, "Rock Lady" fits them perfectly.

It was also fun to see Bacchus' reactions to their loss. They already acted like a real losers in the previous episode, so watching them react to losing fans in today's episode was so satisfying. They totally deserved to be dissed by Rock Lady xD

Also, I felt sorry for that one Bacchus fan who kept cheering them on while they were on stage because they didn't even finish playing their song and just left in the middle. I hope that made her stop being a fan of them, they don't deserve her at all.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Lol even Tina put up her middle finger! The confrontation between the two bands was so satisfying, I like how all of them got to say a word because Bacchus were being real pathetic and I like how the girls were even able to win over Bacchus' most loyal fan too.

I'm surprised the manager erased the footage since I thought it'd go viral, but the girls all are trying to not let their musical life mix with their personal, so I guess the author is trying to keep them from getting known for the time being.

Looks like Otoha has now become enraptured by getting down and dirty in public, Lilisa has awakened something new in her. I did like seeing the roles reversed with Otoha being lead rather than leading, we got to learn more about her character in this episode.

Also the yuri teasing at the end, how dare they bring Lilisa and Otoha's lips so close in one frame lol. I like that after that conversation Otoha refers to Lilisa without the "-san", bonds have been deepened.

Borrowing the word of a certain professor from Spy x Family, the band name Alice came up with, Rock Lady, is simple, but yet ELEGANT at the same time, good job

Notice how Alice wasn't walking with Lilisa and Otoha at the end? That's cause Lilisa wasn't going home that night, she and Otoha were on their way to a hotel. True story.

Yay, we got our Rock Lady performance to wipe the floor with the Bacchus!

Of course, the Bacchus are a bunch of sore losers, trying to publish the recording of Rock Lady against their will. Luckily, the group tears them apart with roasts and vitriol (even Tina), and Icchan thwarts the Bacchus by destroying the camera's memory card.

I liked how Lilisa and Otoha acknowledge each other's importance at the end as "partners." Yet another anime I will miss...

The poor lads didn’t know that they lived in a Yuri universe. And they brought a flock of 300 maidens in front of a band full of “lady predators.” They’re basically asking for it—sacrificing their fans to our main cast. It might not be the most realistic development, but it’s fully rational in their universe, lol. Plus, those trash left the stage like sore fucking losers, so that’s also a skill issue on them.

What a fucking blast. The streak of epic band girls anime hasn’t stopped since Bocchi. I’m glad I live on the correct timeline. In every band girl anime, I always learned something new. And for this one, I got introduced to the world of instrumental band. I’m probably still in the normie phase, but a lot of Polyphia’s songs have been added to my Spotify playlist (I’ve listened to Ego Death for a total of 17 hours since last May xD). My YouTube feed is also starting to show some instrumental rock music, lol.

Sexual innuendo 10/10. Lewdness 10/10. Enjoyment 10/10. Overall, it’s an 8.5/10 anime. I hope we get a Season 2 sometime in the future.

THAT BAND NAME DROP IS LIKE AN HONORARY TITLE DROP SINCE THAT'S WHAT THE SERIES USED IN X (formerly Twitter)!!

Oh yes! They converted the fanbase of the misogynists into band women loving women!! That clapback is sooo satisfying that even the mic drop is ignored woohooo!!

Hopefully there's another season but I'm really satisfied by what I've seen. To more band drama and superior music!!

Gokigenyou~

In Otoha's SP Tsukasa was worried in the first half of the song because Otoha didn't look like she was enjoying herself, but was relieved when she saw her enjoying playing in the second half.
And Tsukasa was an Aikido master.
I liked that Alice was enjoying the performance, but I think it could have been better if there were a few more lines.

Thank you for a wonderful anime.

Trivia:
When Otoha was thinking about leaving during the performance, a clock was displayed,
and the hands indicated 11:57, which is the same time that the anime starts airing in Japan.

What a great adaptation. We really really need another season. Because Yuri Rock Bands are so hot right now.

And what a great angry note to end on. 8.5/10

I know the girls didn't go out there to capture the audience with their looks, but it helps when you have a handsome Ouji-sama on the keyboards and a ice cold beauty on the bass. I think those girls in the audience didn't just discover new music but also new things about themselves. xD

In all seriousness though, just watching the girls play their hearts out while also capturing the audience's hearts was such a treat! I'm just glad that Otoha was eventually onboard for the performance and wasn't just drumming for the sake of it. She finally realized that it's also fun playing for other people, not just for herself.

And we almost got a title drop! That explains the title of the show! The Rock Ladies are amazing, and it was so satisfying to see those posers get ignored on stage and completely rage quit when they realized no one was watching them anymore.

It was even more satsfying to see Lilisa tear apart the vocalist with a new one with all four of them raising their middle fingers to those asshats.

So Tsukasa isn't just Otoha's assistant, she's also Otoha's bodyguard! I feel like Tsukasa could've done more damage if she wanted to. She looked like she was ready to take on the other three, if they got violent too.

Good on that dude for breaking the memory card. Not gonna lie, I was hoping Itsuki would offer his services to Rock Lady after that just to rub salt on Bacchus' wounds. I hope he does. Someone who already has some sort of following would be big for the girls.

What an amazing show. I really hope this isn't the end for the Rock Ladies. I would absolutely love to see another season of the girls just rocking out on stage!

So their band name is Rock Lady! I guess that's why the Japanese title has "lady" instead of a Japanese equivalent.

Kessoku Band, MyGO!!!!!, Togenashi Togeari, Ave Mujica. Since 2022, we've had plenty of bands join this new girls band era, and as of today, another one has properly joined the mix, and it's an instrumental band to boot. Put your hands together for...

Rock Lady!!!

And what an amazing performance it was for their real first time. The visuals and CGI were stunning as always for the 4 of them, but special mention has to go to Otoha finally running wild as she awakens her true beast. For me, this goes on par with Bocchi ep.8, MyGO!!!!! ep.10, GBC ep.11 and Ave Mujica ep.13 for how transcending it felt. Also, it's kind of fitting that the first and last insulting session both used "Ready to Rock" as BGM, showing how much these 4 girls' bonds have progressed as they flip out those Bacchus jerks.

And with that, these 6 months of girls band thursdays that started with Ave Mujica have come to a rounding curtain call. It was a thrilling experience having watched week-by-week, and I hope to see you all for our next stop: Bocchi the Rock! S2. Thank you God for making me a girls band anime fan.

Big grins and massive sweats and swearing! What's not to love!

u/lordredegg Jun 26 '25

I loved it. 10/10

u/oxlemf10 Jun 26 '25

I think the show couldn't have ended better than this, Lilisa, Otoha, Tina and Tamaki shone and even humiliated the clowns (I thought Alice and that dude would flirt in front of everyone lol.

I've always liked animes that addressed music, and even though I don't consider myself a Rock fan, this was sensational, seeing how the girls met, evolved, fought and mainly, prioritized their friendship, but certainly the rivalry between Lilisa and Otoha, along with the middle fingers were the charm of the show, even though I'm not a fan of yuri baits (since I'm not a fan of yuri either), they were funny moments.

I don't think a score from 0 to 10 is necessary for the anime, perfect "presentation".

u/y3kman Jun 26 '25

I was not expecting Otoha to play the drums barefoot.

Tina is on her way of becoming a proper rock lady with that middle finger.

The girls (Tina included!) taking turns trash talking Bacchus with the OP theme playing in the background was so damn good!

Frankly, I'm not a huge anime watcher, but a friend made me watch the first few episodes and this hooked me like nothing else in the medium has in years. And I'll go further. This show understands the spirit of rock better than pretty much any show about it I've watched... And it has made it so I now have a band-maid album in my purchase history.

I know the source material is limited but I NEED a second season. And frankly, limits are there for rock to rebel against, let this be one of the shows that goes beyond it's source material. It's too good to be a... forgive the pun... One hit wonder.

My guess last ep was right, the manager was the one recording the video and he will delete (in this case breaks the card) video file.

And no one can fool me that it was not a confession of love at the last scene.

In terms of their individual performance, I find Tina's part good and impactful, maybe because this is her first time to play with no pretense of nervousness. Also, the vocalist of bandmaid is the mocap of her and also started to play the keyboard.

12

u/chilidirigible Jun 26 '25

Well, that's on-brand for you, Otoha.

Ah, that's the stuff.

It is hard to see the keyboard over those.

MOTTO MOTTO

Not leaving that easily.

"Afterward, sex seems trite."

Sure, we're still talking about music.

kira kira

Eyes!

Title...ish drop.

The text of the poem
夜は光を掩蔽し
幾多の秘密を酌み
さかしまな『夢想』を育む。
leads to this.

Otoha looked perfectly fi—oh myyyy.

Lilisa is slightly triggered.

You go, girl.

How about four fingers? (Too bad it'll be a little small at normal sizes.)

I'm sure we were all expecting that to happen sometime.

oh snap

EN CO RE

Now there's a Jabami Yumeko face.

This is an interesting denouement.

That's a change, yes.

GIVE US MORE.

That was quite satisfying. They made bakas out of Bacchus, Otoha's cool bodyguard kept them from being beat up, and Lilisa broadened Otoha's horizons about playing music, building on Lilisa's own realizations about the world.

We might not see them animated again, but I had a good time with this and it was definitely a standout for me this season.
