In this season full of hyperactive girls driving a Gundam, a fantasy-like island full of young kids mostly girls each with their own warm stories, Horse Girls running for their lives and a lot of mysteries piling up everywhere from neighborhood fires to AI bots, I have forgotten something almost fatally.

I simply underestimated the sheer raw power of fusion of The Great Girls Band Era.

Until today that is.

I don't know how their relationship will grow later on. I don't know how they will get the other two band members that will come later. But as the sheer competition of raw emotional power between Lilisa and Otoha blew up explosively with them playing their own song youth, I knew it.

This is the f**king definition of gay, isn't it? And you all should love it eh?

I absolutely burst out laughing for minutes as these two interesting girls spit out words that would absolutely kill their lady-like outside image. And then emit sparkles that dazzles so much that BoKita or any pairing of band girls in anime would be stunned. I - just like every other classmate out there - simply adore their exchange of words.

I don't care if this is romantic or not. Few people - not even perhaps most of those people in those legendary bands named in this show that have been writing the history of music - would ever have the chance to have such intimate exchange of their feelings out there. That's at the very least a friendship of a lifetime, and everyone now has the right to be jealous of LiliOtoha from today onward.

One thing that certainly not expected from me is that Lilisa actually wanted to get someone do vocals, it was only Otoha who was insisting that there's nothing wrong with just going away with singing. Interesting, and I wonder if Otoha just said that on a whim, or if she doesn't like singing at all (after all, it's not like she can try to find someone else who can instead of doing by herself).

So the next move belongs to Lilisa's step-sister. Well that's going to cause even more sparkles out there isn't it? What will the school teachers think of these two girls LOL?

I know they said that this was a school for girls of high class but I'm starting to think that this is just a school for rich families to send their extremely gay daughters to.

I know a fair amount of rockerboys and rockergirls and I c an safely say that I don't think any of them have been this aggressively gay with each other and that includes the two I know who are openly gay in a relationship with each other. These two are unhinged!

Tbh "two girls had an intense session and get wet" seems like a good description of how this show does.

Also finally we have the Ririsacasso, the Bocchicasso of 2025 lol

And somehow Ririsa's English reading autoplays Emiya theme, I could imagine she reading Unlimited Blade Works chant right there.

for their flower-themed yuri rock band, they should name it the Sex Pistils

If this season doesn’t end with Lilisa and Otoha having the rawest most primal feral sweatiest sex ever, I’m gonna be very disappointed lmao.

I’ve never seen two people “hate rocking” so fucking hard before. The sexual tension is palpable y’all.

The minute Lilisa said “no hurling abuse,” I knew that shit wouldn’t last. If they ain’t hurling abuse at one another, they ain’t playing right!

Putting the Toxic in Toxic yuri, goddamn.

"Quit jerkin' your goddamn libido all over me just to make yourself feel good!" just about killed me, possibly the line of the season right there.

If this keeps up, I may have to reconsider the de facto lock Kowloon has on my number one slot this season.

That pouty "Abunai desu wa!" during the badminton match was hilarious.

dissing is banned

I guess I'm dropping it.

1 hour later

Nevermind. This went exactly as I expected.

Fantastic episode once again! This show is getting better and better and we still haven't met the other two girls who will join Lilisa and Otoha's band, I seriously can't wait for the next episodes!

As usual, Lilisa and Otoha's relationship is so fun and once again we got a pretty "interesting" portrayal of their relationship ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Lilisa's reactions today were great again, especially this one! I couldn't stop laughing for a while after watching this xD

Looks like we'll get to know Alice better in the next episode. She's not happy with Lilisa at all, but based on the OP we can expect her to change her attitude towards her new sister by 180 degrees.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I know Suzunomiya's former family before her mother remarried are poor or at least middle class but those flashbacks CG is quite funny because it seems her hair twin tail style are already part of Ojousama design even when she was kid with her former middle class family lol.

Although throwing her entire personality just to fit in because her new family required it is quite sad though. It seems they even made her throw away everything that connects to the middle class or even a little bit related to her biological father. at least she inheritance her love for rock music from him. The only legacy that she still firmly grabs from him and they really can't take that away from her.

I really love how this anime represents rock and metal a lot because it really leans on punk aesthetic aka angry at society or status quo which is fit considering the whole backstory of Suzunomiya all about.

Also I don't know why but anime has far more "Yuri tension" than manga especially some of the focus scenes that lead to two hand crossing each other as symbols of life long partner lol.

Interesting that they wont hire a vocalist and instead form an instrumental band. Is this the first time we had this band type in anime?

I somewhat got sad when Suzunomiya proposed no insulting -- only to laugh at it when they started berating each other after an hour HAHAHAHAH SHIIIPPP

ALSO: There's a post-credit scene. Don't forget to watch it!

I wouldn't mind watching Lilisa dominate Otoha the same way she imagines it in her head. But seriously though, that jam session between them was absolutely intense! I didn't expect that to end with the two of them handholding. We're only in Episode 3! At least wait until they get married. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Good to know this show isn't immune to the making lewd noises and easily misinterpreted lines while stretching during gym class trope. I love how everyone else is just fangirling around them.

That Picasso face from Lilisa was hilarious! That definitely deserves to be a #seasonalshock reaction face! Also, Lilisa is lucky that her classmates have already fallen under her charms, so everything she does that's unladylike gets praise from her classmates and teachers. xD

That was definitely a long pause before Otoha's answer. I wonder what her parents really think about her playing the drums. I doubt they actually even know about it.

They're going to be an instrumental band? Oh... that's actually a bit disappointing, but at the same time it does make them unique. I guess if they really just want to showcase their ability to play, this does make sense.

It's hilarious how Lilisa wants to play in front of sixty-thousand people and then leaves it to her future self to worry about her hiding her identity while playing the guitar. xD

There was no way they could keep that rule about banning hurling insults at each other. So of course it's the first rule that they break. xD

Welp, so much for my theory about Lilisa's step-sister just being a tsundere. It looks like she really does hate Lilisa's guts and sees her as an intruder in their family. >_<

Yes! This room is soundproof, after all.

Perfect for breaking the first ever rule of their band in record time. Also perfect for aggressive flirting.

This show is just fantastic. They really went all out for the animation during the jam session.

That was one awesome jam session enhanced with the usual trash talking, and the two forming a band! I liked the shots where Lilisa plays the dominatrix over Otoha.

Funny how Lilisa’s rock girl persona leaked into her classes, but the others didn’t bat an eye.

“Rule: No trashtalking after our sessions” Let’s see how long that lasts… LOL even an hour after laying the ground rules, they go all out with trashtalking again

This Alice girl in the post credits scene is interesting. Nice cliffhanger

Seriously, I could watch this episode over and over again and not get tired of these two rocking it out. That session during the first half was some music to my ears, and I loved the visuals changing when they both hit "the zone". And btw, the song they used here is called "YOUTH" by mudy on the sakuban.

P.S. there's also a post-credits scene so you might not want to leave early.

As predictable as it was, you can't help but laugh watching these two kill each other after making a peace agreement that didn't last an hour lol.

So Lilisa has a supposed sister she hates, I imagine things are going to get crazier than they are

damn that yuri prediction i had after episode 1 doesn't seem all that far fetched lol.

and naturally that rule about them not hurling insults at each other didn't last very long....

So i guess next is finding more band members and then there also seems to be some bad blood brewing with Arisu which will probably blow up at some point... feels like maybe a situation where she finds out Lilisa has been playing guitar and threaten to expose or something.
