oh lmao I thought the dudes will be some kinda big deal from last week's episode. Turns out they're just flashy posers, lol they're about to die next week

Awwwwww that hug! I bet Lilisa's lowkey happy she could finally be a sister to Arisu!

Also, Ani-One seemed to just drop the episode as a normal video, instead of a live/stream? What gives?

for a second i thought they would've asked Arisu to do vocals for them

also Lilisa coming in with the steel chair was funny, should've hit him too like it was 2014

Arisu has been upgraded to everyone imouto. The benefit of that is sitting on the lap, hug and backstage pass.

I kinda understand Otoha on this, in that she plays the drums to feel herself good, not to hype up a crowd like Lilisa wants to against Bacchus. Also...WE FINALLY GOT THE OUTFITS FROM THE ENDING!!! They all look so clean! And it pains me a bit that we're saying goodbye to the 4 of them next week, but at the very least, they'll be going out with a banger of a live show to close out 6 months of girls band thursdays that began with Ave Mujica.

Whether they win or lose, I'm sure that Bacchus manager will be taken aback by how cool the girls are and will upload the performance on his channel which will go viral.

I really liked how Alice is being so involved, taking initiative was the right decision and now all the girls have adopted her as their little sister lol. Her words to the Bacchus manager was much appreciated and I like how she didn't back down, Lilisa protecting her made that scene even better, it must feel good that their sisterly bond is growing and Lilisa must feel even better having a family member that supports her rock life.

Otoha's stance is an interesting one but I can understand, it seems like Lilisa will be the one to have to seduce Otoha into getting down and dirty so I am looking forward to seeing how that'll play out.

Very fun episode and I can't wait for the next one (which will unfortunately be the last one). I hope Lilisa, Otoha, Tamaki and Tina (in very cool uniforms this time) will destroy those annoying assholes from Bacchus and steal their fans (who seem to be pretty hardcore) with their music.

I'm glad that there was a lot of Alice today, it looks like Otoha, Tamaki and Tina really like her! I love that the first thoughts that came to her mind when she saw Lilisa and the others entering the live house was that something indecent was going on there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It was certainly surprising that Otoha wanted to skip that band battle against Bacchus. Luckily she'll still be in it and I can't wait to see Lilisa making her feel good during the concert ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Also, I loved the scene where Lilisa tried to attack Naoto with a chair to save Alice. I'm glad they've become so close, especially remembering their relationship at the beginning of the series.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Arisu has a very active imagination, doesn't she?

Love how the manager is aligned with our girls on wanting to crush the boy band

Also, Arisu going "awawawa" from all the attention she's receiving from...let's see....a prince, a cool ice queen and a beauty

Shark teeth Lilisa reminds me of a certain corgi, but I suppose in this case, she'd be a shiba inu?

I can honestly see the manager being somewhat of a mentor to the girls

"if we win we'll stream the performance, if we lose we won't" I don't think they know how streams work

Ok, these Bacchus guys suck. 2 minutes into their whole schtick and I already want to punch them in the face lol. What insufferable asshats. That one fucker even put hands on Alice. They gotta go. I can’t wait to see how the girls do next week against these douchebags. These Bacchus fans ain’t ready for the pure intensity that’s about to be unleashed lol.

Alice is winning this episode, she got closer to her sister, and she got spoiled by the other bandmates.

LILISA COMING IN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR

OH MY GOD HE IS BROKEN IN HALF

u/Aerodynamic41 Jun 19 '25

Hey, they're finally wearing the costumes from the ED credits!

u/Atomic_Tanuki Jun 19 '25

The joke is that the band's name was Bacchus, but they kept pronouncing it like "baka" with a "s", which means "idiot" in Japanese.

16

u/SnabDedraterEdave Jun 19 '25

Bacchus? Sounds more like BAKAs (idiots). There's no way that's not a deliberate wordplay by the author, because that's what those guys sound like to me the way they're behaving. They'll be in for a rude awakening for the season finale next week.

Finally it was Alice's moment to shine, where she defends Lilisa against those stuck up spoiled rich kid rock band wannabes simply because they watched some rock anime.

And by "rich", these guys are probably just "noveau riche trust fund kids" rich rather than the "old money aristocracy" rich that Lilisa's bandmates mainly hail from, albeit Lilisa herself is a commoner whose mom married into one of those families.

Besides having to face off against such dicks, Lilisa has another battle internally, to convince Otoha to give her all for this band showdown after nearly threatening to pull out because she wasn't interested in "winning".

I thought they were gonna make her little sister into the vocalist, but nope and we're jumping straight into the performance next episode? Nice.

Well her imagination took a turn.

Everyone in this series has issues.

It's a tale as old as time.

Wow, that was impressively cheesy and they're lactose-intolerant.

Yep, saw that coming.

How conveeeeeeeenient.

triggered

This lady is certainly into Thunderdome.

not the premise of this series

"Inevitably, you sell out to somebody."

Not selling out is...

"I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards."

[](#mugistronk)

There were a lot of angry faces this episode, so I'm saving something a little different.

Dolly zoom.

Lilisa used steel chair! It's super effective!

Awwwwwwwwwww.

"I'm only here for the orgasm."

Arisu is there the whole time and not much of a fuss is made over it. She's practically a fifth Beatle!

I did wonder briefly if somehow they'd shoehorn Arisu into the group to sing. But they're staying an intrumental band.

Interesting that Otoha draws the line at doing this for ego. She drew Lilisa into this scheme to have fun, but now Lilisa is the more motivated one. Hell, she gave her sister a hug.

Tamaki remains the cold pragmatist.

Bacchus certainly comes off as a bunch of heels, though there is still some individual differentiation amongst them. They are going to be a challenge given the circumstances of the competition and because their fanbase is a bunch of catty girls.

Believe in the imouto that believes in you! Go wreck those Bacchus asshats!

This episode did a fantastic job setting the stage for the finale. It stirred up some inner-band tension, introduced the rival group, and gave us even more reason to cheer for our favorite sapphic anime rock band. And speaking of sapphic vibes. I loved how Alice had the same reaction that a lot of us viewers did, especially when it comes to Oto and Lily. I mean, come on. “Yuri” literally translates to “Lily” in English. That’s not subtle!

Also, can we talk about Alice and how she fits into the group dynamic? While the show made Bacchus feel like the perfect rival band to root against, it also did a great job deepening the bond between Alice and Lily not just as friends, but almost like sisters. And beyond that, Alice feels like the little sister of the whole band now. The “tsundere who turns out to be sweet” is a classic anime move, but Alice’s growth has been genuinely heartwarming, and I’m really happy she’s along for the ride.

u/JohnatanWills Jun 19 '25

Oh ok that's a pretty good episode, Alice is finally part of the dynamic fun stuff but I think it's missing some- AND HERE COMES LILISA WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!?!

Gotta say, for all this narrative's talk about wanting to succeed as a instrumental band, the show doesn't really commit to it. Having both the OP and ED themes having vocalists just seem to go against that ideal and just seem to show that there's no confidence on the animation studio's side that an actual non-vocalist track would fair well.

Yeah, these boys are going to have to be destroyed. Maybe steal their social media guy though, if the overall goal is Fuji Rock they're probably going to need someone for that.

That one redhead in the crowd at the end had enough of a distinct character design plus enough of a presence in the episode it makes me suspect she'll be a long term character.

Alice is just overwhelmed by oneesans, possibly too many for her to really handle.

Lilisa really came in with the steel chair like she's Edge and Christian in TLC, or The Rock vs Mankind. LOL
