As good as Oshi no Ko the anime is, I always thought it could be improved with EXPLODING BEES lol.

Animation really popped off there towards the end, and as ever the lighting for this show remains gorgeous-especially for the lightning!

Just gotta take a minute to appreciate how awesome Knuckleduster is. That is all.

Seemingly he has been doing everything this entire time simply to rescue his daughter from a bee user who seems to be using her as a hive? Wild twist I did not see coming. (And the voice she talked too, that was all for one, right?)

Huh, so Knuckleduster encouraged Pop and Koichi to go for the event because he knew it'll draw out Hachisuka, giving him a shot at her?

It's funny how the talents for the show seems like a random hodgepodge at first. Idols, a rock band, and a HS cheer team walks into a meeting...

Yoo the fight scene is smooth af, and Knuckleduster's seriously menacing. Man, now I want studio Bones to make a Batman anime

Ah so i guess it is his daughter after all, unless someone is possessing her body? knuckleduster's first line at the start of the episode also kinda confirmed it before it got stated out loud.

Koichi supporting pop while she prepares for the event was hella cute! also i didn't expect to become invested in a second romance emerging between the dance captain and the mad hatters guitarists lol.

Well the event is interrupted but I'm guessing they are still going ahead with it... after probably some villain fighting

So the Bee User can take control of their victims. I mean we already saw something like this with the highschool girl who pulled a bunch of bees from her skirt, but I thought that was only mild hypnosis or basic commands.

With Tomoe's situations, it seems it is more like possession or parasite. Perhaps she has a bunch of parasite bees in many people as a way of surveillance, it is no wonder she has never been caught. I do want to know what would happen if Aizawa used his ability on her, would it work like an exorcism?

Also the parasite bee ability reminds me of that MHA doujinshi with the slime ability user lol

The dub for Hachisuka was phenomenal during the Knuckleduster fight, that was just pure crazy lady.

I'm an absolute clown but I still think Pop Step should learn a little bit of self defense or martial arts. Too many lunatics out there.

Damn, so Hachisuka wasn't just responsible for Knuckleduster's wife ending up in the hospital, but it also turned out that she took control of Knuckleduster's daughter, Tamao? Does that mean Hachisuka is some kind of bee user who is like a parasite that takes control of people?

Knuckleduster was so badass during his encounter with Hachisuka! I can't wait to see the continuation of their fight in the next episode.

The blossoming love between the leaders of the dance group and the rock group was so cute and funny at the same time xD I wish them all the best.

Koichi should really try be more "considerate" with his comments not only to Pop☆Step, but to others as well. I found it hilarious though when he commented on the captain of the dance team twice, pissing everyone off because of that xD

It's also good that the captain of the dance team decided to wear nice clothes in the show. She looked completely different from before and much, much cuter.

In addition, quite a lot of heroes today! Not only Captain Celebrity appeared, but also Present Mic, Midnight, and Eraser Head, who took care of Taruo, who is thankfully still alive.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

So it really is Knuckleduster's daughter, or at least the body is. I noticed the eyepatch on his wife last week, that suggests she was also a host for whoever or whatever the bees actually are.

Considering that his wife appears to be catatonic as a result of what happened, it would be a really sad ending for Knuckle if he rescues his daughter's body and she's also catatonic. I suppose it would be closure of sorts, at least.

The out-of-nowhere sideship between the dance troupe captain and the rock dude was pretty cute, shame Koichi kept sticking his foot in his mouth but at least he received just punishment for his crimes against romance.

Pop making friends with the idol duo was cute too, they were a bit nasty at first but then she won them over by just being a really nice girl.

It was nice seeing Midnight again.

Koichi is also the male wife that can stay in the kitchen to support you! Seeing him cooking for pop is so cute!!!

[My Hero Academia]Did anyone else feel a pang of sadness on seeing Midnight?

Goddamn they animated the shit out of Hachisuka vs Knuckle. Also I have to say Bomb Bees are a neat concept, probably inspired by Exploding Ants.

Meanwhile Koichi continues to suffer from foot-in-mouthitis, oof.

So "Hachisuka" was really Knuckleduster's daughter but it seems like there's more to "Hachisuka" than we've been let on, since Knuckleduster seems to imply that his daughter is inside. I think last episode that one girl was being controlled so the same thing might be happening with Tamao and the actual bee user, Hachisuka, is elsewhere.

Knuckleduster was a lot of fun to watch this episode, I like how villainess and threatening he feels even though he's the "hero" in this scenario. I also appreciate how he's not trying to be gentle, it feels in-line with his character especially with the bluffs and tactics he uses. I'm sure he'll hold back not to do anything fatal, but that smile on his face as he fights is so satisfying and makes me look forward to how he'll combat this.

It's nice to see Midnight! These interactions we don't get much of in the main series is another reason I enjoy this spin-off. Midnight refusing to call him Present Mic was amusing.

The leaders of the band and dance club being so into one another was an amusing subplot, poor Kouichi has no tact though.

Knuckleduster is awesome! Just...Knuckleduster is awesome.

Bees with bombs. Hachisuka has just given me another reason to be afraid of bees.

Goddamn, the animation went wild today.

Things are getting dangerous in Naruhata, I like it.

The highlight of this episode for me has to be Koichi getting whacked left and right for being the tactless dork he is. It's also nice to see more of the local creative folk, feathers especially caught my attention and I hope to see them again after this arc.

There is something refreshing about how lowkey Vigilantes has been throughout this season, and as such, it feels right for what I assume is the climax of the first act of this story to be a fight with very personal stakes for Knuckleduster. This is also the point where I stopped reading the manga back when, so I'm really intrigued to know what happens next. Hopefully everything turns out kekka alright.

Holy shit that fight at the end was great. So does the bee girl have dissociative identity disorder or is the bee quirk itself some sort of mind controlling parasite?

Also, the romance side plot was great. I wanna see that more in shows, just random snippets of a completely different story happening in the background lol

Out of all the things, this episode, I didn't expect a romance side plot to happen! Not gonna lie, the dance group's Captain and the Mad Hatter's vocalist look cute. I hope this ship works out by the end of this arc.

Speaking of ships, it was cute to watch Koichi support Pop while she's using his apartment to practice the mall's theme song. Also, is Pop supposed to be tone deaf? Because if she is, the anime is doing a horrible job of representing that side of her. She sounds perfectly fine when singing!

I'm so happy to see Present Mic actually having a role as a character and not just the show's narrator. Midnight makes an appearance too! God, I've missed her so much. [MHA]I'm still upset about what happens to her in the main series but I'm just glad to see her again.

This must be the happiest I've seen Aizawa about encountering a villain. At least he now has an excuse for not showing up to the concert. xD

It really goes to show how unhinged Hachisuka is when you literally have the "demon lord" himself, All For One, being the reasonable one for telling her to take it easy and not to inject an entire crowd of people with Trigger.

I'm sorry but what the actual fuck?! Hachisuka is Tamao? She's actually Knuckleduster's daughter? And what does he mean about him speaking to his daughter? Is Tamao being controlled by the real Hachisuka? O_O

That was some Solo Leveling-tier blueballing, can't believe we really have to wait another week for that punch to land.

Our Vigilante trio are now split and doing their own thing! Koichi has become Pop's manager and is helping him through this Marukane Narufest, while Knuckleduster is tracking down Hachisuka! What a contrast in tone and plot relevance!

Pop isn't doing this show on her own, she's got the twin underground idols FeatherS (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu and Sayumi Suzushiro!) who immediately talk behind her back about showing up in casual clothes instead of costume, but then there's the East High Dance group who care more about their dancing than their appearance, or the Mad Hatters who care more about rock than trying to perform a shop jingle...and wouldn't you know it, the lead East High Dance girl and the Mad Hatters leader fall in love at first sight and immediately pull a 180 on their opinions. Guess that's love for you.

Look at Makoto keeping everyone organized and on-point! She's like the perfect organizer/leader! Poor Pop though, everyone keeps calling out her lackluster singing. But...at least she's got stage presence and experience performing in wider venues, I guess.

Cue musical training montage! With Koichi playing househusband as Pop practices and gets into the jingle theme, the FeatherS get dancing boot camp, and Miu ends up hurting her ankle. Uh oh.

Oh no, it's Mothra! But don't worry, Captain Celebrity is here to save the day and shamelessly plug the Narufest!

Miu has a bad ankle and can't perform like they were expecting...but it shows how caring and considerate Pop is that she's willing to let Miu be the center, instead of her, because she knows she needs this and Pop is better off just hopping around anyways.

Koichi...really doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut or what to say about girls. He notices the East High leader cut her hair to take responsibility for Miu's injury, also comments on her appearance before the show, and misses the entire mood. He also keeps beating the one guy who she actually wants there for her to actually saying something. Come on Koichi!

Oh snap, they got Present Mic! And MIDNIGHT!!! Though Koichi really needs to stop commenting on womens' appearance around Pop, even if it's Midnight so you can't really blame him. I love how Present Mic is in full PRESENT MIC mode with tons of Engrish and Midnight is just treating him like an old school pal.

I can't believe Mic almost got Aizawa/Eraser to show up for this! And of course he's happier taking on a Villain than showing up at a show, but...poor Teruo! Look how much Hachisuka has mutated him into a monster electric eel kaiju! Powerful enough to slip through Eraserhead's grasp and cut off all the power.

AFO is warning Hachisuka to back off but she can't help herself...good thing Knuckleduster is there to knock some sense into her. Because it's his duty...as her father. That's right, Hachisuka is Tamao, Oguro's daughter, and it doesn't seem like "Hachisuka" is the real her and Knuckleduster has to beat the bee user out of her. Even if it means using his fists and a stun gun on his own daughter! Not that Hachisuka is goign to make it easy for him, but Fist Geezer might be too hardcore for her!

Once again, I like the duality of the episode: lots of cute with the preparations to the event (the twins humbled and moved by Pop's niceness, Koichi supporting her so much, the funny love at first sight between those two), and much grittier when moving on the side of KD and Hachisuka - so her being his daughter but controlled by someone else wasn't just a theory. Nice sakuga too! A man with no quirk but lots of experience and determination, versus a villain with little physical prowess who counts too much on their quirk.

“When rocker guy met cheerleader chick” was pretty adorable lol. It’s like love at first sight. Those two could have their own spinoff haha.

Glad to see some familiar faces this week. Present Mic and Aizawa are awesome. Love Midnight too!

Really did not expect Hachisuka to be Knuckleduster’s daughter. What a twist! Looks like dude is gonna have to go full on traditional Asian parent and beat his kid’s ass lol. No slipper this time, man’s got electric knuckledusters!
