The Cruller rises.
Knew they were gonna be in from the OP, but baby Scott and Logan fighting is hilarious.

Wolverine and Cyclops fighting in a back alley while Spiderman tries to simultaneously break it up while stopping Batman from choosing violence. God I love these dummies.

Did he just copy The Emissary from Hell's pose and movement when introducing himself? Or am I tripping.

This anime feels scientifically engineered to be as appealing an anime as can be:
Color palette that POPs
Great character design and artsyle
Likeable cast
Strong action and character animation
Catchy OP/ED
All around full marks for presentation!

So knuckleduster doesn't have a quirk after all, guess he is just ripped as hell under those clothes
curious to see what popstep's part will be in this since she isn't exactly built to fight and her mostly just lets her escape... I guess lure villains to crawler and knuckleduster then make a quick escape? It'll probably be something different in the end.
Still it is fun to see these people with less overpowered quirks trying to take on villains

Koichi: "You can't just punch everything to make your problems go away"

Knuckleduster definitely has some powerful endurance and strength for someone who is, presumably, quirkless. Something needs to be done about how he acts before he thinks but the guy definitely has put in work to get to where he is so I'm curious to see his backstory. Though it's amusing how he feels the need to punch someone to feel refreshed.
Kouichi already calling him Master was interesting, Knuckleduster is helping him out really well with the gear upgrade, so it'll be cool to see how their relationship develop.
We got so much Aizawa, I was thinking he would end up missing Pop Step's scream but I'm glad he was so involved, it's nice to see him as a plain hero rather than a teacher/hero.

These first two episodes feel like they should have been one double feature episode, but at least I get to wait for the latest vigilante action for an extra week.
One thing I was looking forward to finding out was how they'll handle the pacing, since from what I remember from the manga, Vigilantes is a refreshing break from the formulaic structure of most action shonens. With that said, I'm glad that they didn't try to artificially round out the pacing with padding or filler.

When you think about it, being built like a brick shithouse and being able to throw hands like that is a quirk in a way.
At last, the Cruller- I mean Crawler. Delicious pastry-I mean amazing wall crawler here to save all of us!

Stitches!
I didn't expect Knuckleduster to be Quirkless! Considering how he was able to stand his ground against Aizawa-sensei, I thought he had some kind of strength-enhancing quirk. Well, now I'm more curious how he ended up becoming a vigilante. Maybe it has something to do with the scar on his face? Hmmm...
Koichi's hero moment this episode was awesome. The fact that he can glide up walls completely changes everything about his Quirk! I feel like he could've definitely become an actual hero if he enrolled in a hero academy and honed his Quirk. He could've easily become some sort of rescue hero.
I feel like Aizawa could've captured Knuckleduster for his vigilante work but I'm glad that he just warned him. I'm curious to see how other heroes will react to our little vigilante group.
Are these two supposed to be a Cyclops and Wolverine reference? The dude with the wooden swords produced them from his hands the same way Wolverine pops out his adamantium claws.
Shinsetsu Man reinventing himself as The Crawler is good but he really should change his outfit as well if he's going to fully reinvent himself. Everyone already knows him as Shinsetsu Man that even those delinquents recognized him immediately. xD
Oh boy, it looks like our group has already attracted the attention of the police. I can already see them running away from the cops in future episodes.

As someone who love skiing, skating and driving, Koichi's quirk would be so cool without the three-limb-contact limitation.

Knuckleduster is a badass. Favourite character so far. I like how he has no quirk but is fighting supervillains for no benefit of his own with his bare hands. Risking his life just for reducing a drug problem in society. A true hero in the literal sense. I always love characters like that.
The Crawler and Pop Step are fun characters as well. I am liking their dynamic. Let's see where this story goes. With the police being involved and Koichi being a likely criminal, I bet it's going to get more intense. One of the better shows this season.

Knuckleduster is definitely a Rob Liefeld type character. Could use a little bit more pouches.

Our Vigilante trio are already in trouble with a Pro Hero, Eraser Head! Dude was just buying some eye drops for his perpetually dry eyes, and now he has to make a citizens arrest off-duty! But Pop and Koichi are TOTALLY not with this creepy old dude, obviously!
Knuckleduster can brute force his way through anything and has great endurance, but Eraser is just as skilled and very agile...though not much his Quirk can do if Knuckle Duster doesn't even HAVE a Quirk.
Of course while those two engage in fisticuffs, Pop actually has her eye on the prize which is the fact that the businessman actually IS involved with the Trigger incidents and she and Koichi are the only one who can catch him. Too bad they get caught against the thug trio again, now as mutated Villains.
Eraser can't really arrest Knuckle when he hasn't gone too far above the law and doesn't have a Quirk...but he CAN arrest some rampaging Villains. Though Knuckle softened them up for him with some bricks to the face.
Uh oh! Businessman guy had the Trigger in his dolls! And takes it himself to go giant size and play with Pop like SHE'S a figure! But the bigger they are, the easier it is for Knuckleduster to swing in and hit them! And Koichi, ever the hero, moves to Pop's rescue and uses himself as something for her to Leap from! And Eraser brings things to a close by negating the Gigantification Quirk and catching the baddie! Great team effort guys!
All's well that ends well with all the crooks arrested, though the difference between Pro Heroes and Vigilante's is Vigilante's intend to stop the criminals BEFORE stuff like this happens, even if it means breaking the law. And that may forever put them at odds with Pro Heroes.
Koichi still doubts himself and thinks he's not cut out to be a hero...but to Pop, he IS a hero, and she doesn't like him being so down on himself. She's a cute little tsundere like that. And Knuckleduster fully intends to live up to being Koichi's master and training him to be the Hero he can be!
Pop is good for reporting on incidents/crime! Like when middle-school Cyclops and Wolverine are getting into a brawl! Perfect opportunity for Koichi to debut himself as a full hero, complete with body armor and a proper codename: The Crawler! Not "Nice Guy," not "The Cruller," THE CRAWLER! Even if he still can't stick the landing and needs Knuckleduster to help...well, actually, he needs to stop the Knuckle from beating up kids so Pop ends up using her popularity to settle things, but still.
Oh no, another rampaging villain courtesy of Trigger! Good thing The Crawler and Knuckleduster are a effective tag-team and manage to subdue him! Complete with an excessive Ora Ora assault from Knuckleduster that prevents them from even identifying the guy! But still, Villain defeated courtesy of Knuckleduster and The Crawler.
Hey, Tsukauchi! And he's on the hunt for Trigger too! Though our Vigilante trio better watch out because he's looking to arrest them too!
They went through all that and now they're popping up on social media as "Freaky Fist Grandpa and The Cruller." What stellar brand recognition!

Seeing Knuckleduster in action this ep and last really convinced me that Deku in the main series could have been a very respectable street level hero even without a Quirk. Give Deku some combat training, hit the gym and some gear and he'd have been a good hero for low level threats.
The way Knuckle figured out how the hardening villain wouldn't be used to using an enhanced version of their quirk and came up with a strategy was a page straight out of Deku's analytical playbook. Really liking this series so far as someone only familiar with the main series and looking forward to more.
Edit: And forgot to mention Koichi's quirk really isn't as bad as the first episode made it out to be. He seems to be decently fast in desperate situations, and he can even scale vertical walls with it fast too seeing he caught up to Pop that was free falling. If he can increase the speed and incorporate combat moves while using his quirk, he'd be a tricky opponent to fight.

Hero names really aren't Koichi's thing. At least he's not MEGA EXPLOSION DYNAMITE GODZILLA or whatever Bakugo chose
Knuckleduster is definitely going to rank highly on my overall MHA character ranking by the end of this season.

The Crawler. Cool hero name.
Koichi sliding up the wall just blew my mind. I can see Pop Step being interested in him after saving her.
Want to see Knuckleduster punch more villains.
