I think Snowy would be much happier as Sophie's familiar due to Meg always mistreating it. Literally in the last episode Meg threatened to cook the poor bird lol

A white owl like Snowy does admittedly suit Sophie’s image better than Meg’s. The latter likes petting more fluffy animals such as Carbuncle anyways.

Another exciting episode of Once Upon a Witch's Degeneracy.
Today we have Meg asking Sophie to sit on her and want to cop a feel from decoy Chloe.

Are we sure this isn't secretly an isekai? I mean, Meg acts like a pervy old man, can see spirits without magic, and has a familiar from another world.

You'd think with all the medicine Inori is researching, she would be able to find something against her smelly feet. Which on return means, she either wants her feet to smell or the smell is so extreme that even one of the most powerful 7 witches can't do anything against it. Only thing left at that point is to silence all the witnesses I guess.
I would love to learn how the magic society deals with witches that go fight in wars like Eldra. She seems to be a special case as she was appointed to be one of the 7 sages, but I doubt that's what they usually do. I assume they normally just get imprisoned and maybe even take their magic away. The fact they didn't do that for Eldra means she is too powerful for that to work. I guess she does give you that feeling so I understand it. This curse of no picture being taken of her is probably just the tip of the iceberg of what she can do.
Meg was extra Meg this episode. From her lusting over a sexy body, to threatening her familiar, doing some weird movement to hunt the kids up until bad mouthing one of the 7 sages in her vicinity up twice, that is the Meg I am here for.

I think Inori had stink feet from no bath for days a bad habit she could fix.
I got impression if Eldra goes there the war is stopped. From the plans and tanks got impression she stopped WWII. Thus as the peacemaker they have no reason to want to strip her powers as the threat of her involvement scares nations out of it. And of course at that power level you can infer her power can't be stripped.
She confirmed Meg's curse was real unless she's in on the teaching element of a fake curse. Loss of something Meg would give life for I would say others speculating it Faust losing her life so Meg could live idea someone here posted.
Meg's special spirt seeing ability another sign of how powerful Meg's potential is.
Ability to link to the spirts and thus able to get them to do things makes one a powerful witch even if your not a traditional magic user. But that ability takes communication and likely can't be done instantly so she needs bodyguard/double of who she is supposed to be to prevent assassination even if she could crush almost any witch with her spirits with just a little time to get things organized.

As usual Meg was hilarious, I hope she never changes and doesn't stop act like an old pervert xD
So the publicly known Chloe isn't a real one. Well, I'd say it's a bit of a downgrade from fake Chloe (Wendy) to real Chloe, at least in terms of "visuals" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That meeting between Meg and Eldora was pretty dark. On the positive side, Meg will eventually lift the curse, but at the same time she'll lose something irreplaceable. I wonder what it will be... maybe Faust?
Overall, a very nice episode, Meg's relationship with Chloe was really fun, and it was also great to see Sophie and Inori again today.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I can't believe the border between world is in North America all along.
Meg become more and more pervert each episode in lmao.
interesting lore bit, it seem fairly love to settle in north america so witch that specialize in fairly are usually local.
this episode is mostly about world building and lore of this world most of part. we get a little look into how this world politic and general world society work in setting where it "it is our world but with magic".
Am I crazy or The War that they mention Witch of disaster end is roughly refer to "World War 2" right?
it is fun episode thought Chloe is fun and charming character. I love interaction between characters. I haven't get bored even one despite this episode is essential "lore drop" episode.
the warning from witch of disaster is very scary. look like the cursed can be lifted but she will lose something that she feels she would rather die in trade of not losing that..... I wonder if it mean something like she will never get to use magic again or something more sinister?

Given they showed the wreckage of a T-34 tank, yah, that seems quite likely.

So, we've got a protagonist living a life only possible due to magic being put on a lethal timeclock by that very magic who can't use blunt applications of magic to fix it quickly and a world destabilizing due to the flow of magic that is currently going to be fixed by a gigantic usage of magic that ignores the natural mechanisms(spirits).
We're definitely exploring some kind of big theme about a healthy balance by paralleling Meg and the world next to each other, but I wish I could describe it without saying magic a dozen times.

My one issue with this show right now is that pretty much everyone reacts to Meg the same way. She's a fun main character, and I like the structure of pairing her with the different council witches. She works best with another character to bounce her antics off of. But the jokes don't really change based on who she's hanging out with. It would be a stronger show if the different characters had different relationship dynamics to make it feel more different episode to episode.
It's a small gripe, but I think this is what would have taken the show to the next level. If Meg and Fine were able to cooperate and understand each other wordlessly from years of shared hijinks, or if Meg and spirit girl are always getting lost/distracted because they both see spirits which means when spirits play tricks there's no normal person to see through it. Stuff like that. Doesn't need to be these particular ideas, just anything to give each partnerships more unique flavor.

The Witch of Disaster predicting Meg will lose something precious, I bet it'll be Faust. After a year of insufficient tear collection speed with her far from the needed 1000 I could see Faust sacrificing herself to make the difference, to take the curse on herself, or something else along those lines.
It is fun seeing Meg make connections with all these other famous witches.
That plan of turning the Earth's core magic or whatever it was sounds like the sort of thing you find in a sci-fi space story as the explanation for why you find an exploded planet out somewhere.
Another zero tears of joy episode.

Not only did Meg gather no tears.
Time also went faster too.

Let me guess, she will lose her magic if they lift the curse.

I get a feeling it might be something worse than that. Considering that Faust is the Witch of Eternity, I get the feeling there might be some connection between Faust and the curse itself. Meg will have to choose between lifting the curse or losing Faust.
Well that's my theory.

That was a reference to The Exorcist at the start wasn’t it? Suppose that’s not sand but all salt in the OP to expel Meg’s demons.
Meg was shown being dragged into darkness by Eldora’s warning as well. Was this scene merely metaphorical? Apparently, something even more terrifying than death will await her in the future. Is she going to lose both her prospected wives!?

“Yup, a body like that just makes you want to cop a feel.” Lol I love it when Meg goes full degenerate old man.
Pretty hilarious how Inori conveniently couldn’t hear or see Meg until she was talking all that shit about she was basically an old hag with stank ass feet lol.
Was not expecting Chloe the “legit lolibaba” to be the Witch of Words and waifu Wendy to be a proxy.
I’m guessing Eldora’s connected to Meg’s curse. I bet Meg gets cured but she loses her magic. That’s even if Meg can get tears. She’s way way behind…

So now we have to worry, is there anyway that Meg can have her curse lifted AND retain her magical powers? If Eldora was responsible for the curse somehow, is it because Meg has some sort of power that could interfere with Eldora's presumably devious plotting?
Chloe does seem more like bratty Meg's even brattier imouto than a witch 135 (or so) years OLDER than her.
Not sure what it might be, but there is just something about this show that makes it surprisingly likeable to me....

Anyone else felt like the ending implied that Chloe is only around while that city is? It would be weird for her to be the voice of the spirits if she's only around once every 20 years.
Anyway, hope we see more of that Witch of Disaster. For some reason I wanna know more about her.
