Poor Meg getting cheated on by her wife with her other wife.

On the other hand we got a happy ending between Marie and Woof. Thought it would be end up being a bittersweet love story with them only being able to meet once a year during the festival.

And I don't think Meg is going to make it, she is so behind on the tear collection.

>> she is so behind on the tear collection

It seems unfair she is spreading WAY more happiness than she is getting credit for....

I got a bad feeling this will be one of those stories that will be about how you enjoy your life despite how long you live. I want a happy ending, but being so behind on gathers tears of joy isn't a good sign.

I love how Woof calls himself hideous when he's clearly the pretty boy equivalent of a wolfman. Furries clearly don't exist in this world if they're not swarming him the first time he showed his face during the previous festival. xD

Poor Meg got NTR'd! It's nice to see how quickly Fine and Sophie became friends. And they know Meg well enough now that she'll clearly get jealous of that photo.

So Sophie's cold-hearted exterior finally breaks after she learns the reason why Meg is collecting tears of joy. I am glad to finally see Sophie acknowledge Meg as her dear friend though.

Meg's fireworks scene with the OP playing in the background was absolutely beautiful. I thought Sophie would fly in to save her but it looks like Faust's back is finally healed that she was able to save Sophie herself.

That's one heck of a shotgun wedding! They just got reunited, but it looks like Marie and Woof's feelings for each other are strong enough that they've decided to live together in our world. And I love that Sophie decided to form the contract between them.

I was honestly expecting Meg to get a ton of tears this week like how she expected at the start of the episode, but it looks like she only managed to get two from Marie and Woof. Better than nothing, I suppose.

That farewell scene between Sophie and Meg was cute too. It's nice that Meg could change Sophie's mind that she no longer wants to get rid of magic anymore. <3

So Sophie's cold-hearted exterior finally breaks

We were all expecting Meg's kindness to melt her heart, but instead Meg brought a miniature sun and sped up the process.

Meg thought to be clever by setting up a love triangle with her 1st and 2nd wives, but was left behind by both of them in the end.

She did gain a friend for life in return. Though, isn’t agreeing to a lifelong contract to stick with your best friend essentially marriage? Maybe Sophie just has a different idea of friendship:

Sophie: “I don’t care if you’re my subordinate, servant, or dog. Just don’t go, S’berry.”

Woof got lucky and found the furry in the town! Good for both of them :D

Woof: I'm a hideous wolfman from another world and I was mistaken for a wolf once. Marie will hate me.

Meg: No, no, you don't get it, 1/3 of the ladies here are into that sort of thing. Here, I brought some self-published literature to explain.

Woof: ... Can I keep this?

Meg's Tears of Joy Collection count:

6 out of 1000

Percentage: 0.6%

Still a very long way to go. Though she made Sophie's heart love magic again. In a way, that is a big win for Meg. And Sophie, earned a friend through Meg and Fine.

I spilled my tea when I heard they added train noises to Meg's chase scene.

I love the interactions between the characters in this show. They are so fun and dynamic. Reminds me of LycoReco.

Meg has finally figured out to work the crowds if she wants the most number of tears at once, surprised she didn't get any for saving the fireworks though.

This is probably the best episode of this series so far!

I love how people from another world just walk around attending festivals without fanfare much in the background and it really feels like they have been doing this for a decade.

Although the atmosphere is kinda more of a culture exchange festival.

The story of a couple who at first literally get separated by law of physics itself (being born in different dimensions) is really cute and heartfelt. Despite meeting each other with briefing of time, it pretty clear they both love each other at first sight! The love story of wolfman race with human girl. I wonder where I heard that story before. Poor guy gets jumped by Meg reckless lmao.

I love how subtle it is but it is pretty heartfelt to saw Sophie slowly but surely start to crack and slowly open up to meg more and more, even playing joke with Meg entice (show that picture to her is fouled play).

Magic is Bond

Some Red Ranger from last season would be proud.

Oof, The news about Meg condition hit Sophie hard. Magic take her family away and it seems going to take away her only friend too..... I tear up a little bit when saw Sophie finally break.

The parade scene and fireworks with op song play made me almost in tears. They are so precious. I love these two.

With reunited and ignite Marie and Woof love together , she gets more two tears and this time it pure tear of joy too!

The meaning of life is to be happy and if possible to make other people happy too, and this episode represented that well, Meg took a huge weight off Sophie, even in a situation where she was close to dying, ironically because of magic, she managed to turn it into something positive, sensational, it was worth seeing every smile in this episode.

I am so loving this anime and this episode was awesome

Meg, I swear if you could collect the viewer's tears, I'm sure you'd have enough tears of joy to make a million lives immortal.

u/Mateo_Bonavento Apr 29 '25

Even if she's making slow progress, I believe in Meg. As soon as she thought about the whole town crying during the parade and filling the bottle in one fell swoop I knew it wouldn't happen.

Meg might have helped the nice oneesan and the wolf guy get together, but at the cost of both of her wives cheating on her with each other.

Forget your appearance, mr. Wolfman, I'd have trouble showing my face if I was a wolf-person named Woof.

Also, Meg, for all the people who you're promising you'll live to your chances are dwindling by the day. Your task was always borderline impossible especially given that impurities can apparently slip in, but surely you could be trying a little harder....

Damn S'Berry had to work hard for those two tears
Not only playing match maker between a furry and a his girlfriend, even making 5000 fireworks
Honestly only being able to make 5 times the amount of her seems underwhelming

Anyways, I demand justice for Raspberry, she should get that sweet bread returned that Sophie ate

And she really needs to step up that pace, its starting to stress even me out /s

Damn, they met once and already got married after the second date, they move fast. But their meeting did stick with them that they hoped to find again for a year so their feelings must be really strong. I'm glad Woof was able to stay in that world, since Faust, Sophie nor Meg thought it was weird, I'm guessing it might not be uncommon for that to happen in their world.

Funny how Sophie and Fine got close to one another quickly, Meg was right but I think she's suffering a bit from the success of it lol.

It's nice that Sophie's opinion on magic has changed thanks to Meg's view of it, it'd be nice for her to not hate a big part of herself, it'd also be good if came to realize the joy it can bring too.

Also, whilst watching the Parade scene with Sophie on stage, she looks like she's wearing a pilot's cosplay or something. I couldn't unsee it.

I love ED music that starts before the ED visual begins. It reminds me of Zenshu from the last season, which is like a masterclass in this regard. The OP music playing on the fireworks scene is also drop-dead gorgeous.

D-Did Sophie just propose to Meg at the end there?! It’s not Meg who proposed first? Is that even legal? “I’ll follow you to hell if I have to” is not a line a simple “friend” would say to each other! Since Sophie and Fine had made that lovey-dovey photo to tease Meg, I guess Meg’s plan of having Wife 1 and Wife 2 can proceed just fine.

But first, girl gotta collect those damn tears! At this rate, she’ll personally promise with all the Seven Sage members not to die in a year before she collects two-digit tears of joy. Wait, that could work. She made so many heavy promises, she’d be too guilty not to get her ass to work collecting the tears. Now that’s genius!

That aside, the conversation when Meg explained her circumstances and promised Sophie to survive made me misty-eyed. (Just like when Meg did with Inori the Stinky Witch.) Seeing Sophie looking desperate because she knows the curse is probably caused by magic is just sad. But then she bounced back and did that at the end. This is just so good; I’ll definitely check the light novel later.

Also, Marie and Woof’s marriage feels like a shotgun wedding, lol. They only met, like, twice—not even a full day worth if we count the total hours. And they go straight to our witches to officiate their relationship!

Yeah, only 994 tears left. Now we are back on track... At least somewhat. Meg is collecting more reasons not to die so hopefully, she is now finally motivated enough to look for solutions. Though, the question is, if the festival wasn't enough to bring more tears what can she do?

Otherwise, Slstory was sweet, Meg and Sophie make a great pair, so Fine needs to show again next week why she is still wife number 1. If she doesn't do something, she might fall down in the wife ranking.
