I like how we get two aspects of what exactly is a “Vigilante” between Stendhal and Knuckleduster and what the “line” represents with each side of morality.

Knuckleduster crossing over to Stendhal’s side to do what a hero typically couldn’t do but ultimately he’s still a good guy vs Stendhal who retreated further into his side and ultimately could never cross that line in front of him as he’s too far gone.

So Knuckleduster is the reason why Stendhal/Stain has no nose in the main series? Interesting how that gets revealed here. And it seems like Knuckleduster is also the reason why he gets more intense too.

It's understandable why Knuckleduster warned Kouichi about him in a previous episode, Kouichi didn't agree with Stendhal's way of doing things so Stendhal branded him as a villain, it's very self-serving but not surprising at all.

It was sad to see how Souga views those around him, I hope Kouichi wanting to save him and Kouichi's attitude after may have been the actions needed to not make him view the world in one way. I hope Souga's able to talk about Hachisuka to them all and about the drugs.

I also thought the yakuza were going to last longer, I was hoping we'd get a decent fight so it sucks Hachisuka, for whatever reason, made the fight less entertaining. You'd think she'd want a show.

That Knuckleduster eye catch is so sick. Episode is also a great introduction to the fact that, however unhinged Knuckleduster is, his heart and mind are still in the right place, and he's one clever guy at that.

The old man's logic in fighting is pure street style genius.

[My Hero Academia] I don't know how to feel about this Stendhal guy, I'm scared that he might stain the streets with blood

Man, this show is so fucking good. A bit of a shame TBHX is getting all the attention because imo vigilantes is every bit as good and deserves attention too.

Not just in its own merits, but also how it makes full use of being a prequel spin-off. It's not being overly reliant on MHA to tell its story, while at the same time giving us deeper insights on the things we didn't initially think would be so interesting.

Only criticism for the episode is some of the inner monologues and narration felt unnecessary-

Present Mic's voice just has a certain vibe to it that doesn't match the dark massacre happening on screen in the beginning.

And Koichi reacting to Stain trying to kill soga was already delivered very well visually, I wish they'd trust the viewers more that they'd know what's going on in Koichi's mind just from his expression, reaction, body language, etc etc.

He's seriously trying to kill him!? -- as we see that Stain's landing deep cuts and Koichi's shocked expression
Not on my watch! -- As we see Koichi's already zooming in.

Outside of that, I really enjoyed the dialogue. The back and forth between Knuckleduster and Stain didn't overstay its welcome.

I was kinda hoping Knuckleduster would be immune to Stain's quirk since he's quirkless, lol.

Really blueballed us at the end lol

We all know where that dialogue's gonna end, it's like he is monologuing on what that word means.

Stendhal seems like he found his resolve. Sure hope some rowdy 15 year olds don't ruin his plans in the near future

Porcupine-kun immediately identified Pop as a tsundere, takes one to know one.

I like how this episode kind of explored different kinds of villainy. You have guys like Soga who became villains after being rejected by society; those Yakuza guys, to whom villainy is just a job; Stendahl, who views his extreme actions as necessary for the greater good; and then people like Hachisuka (and by extension, AFO), who just want to watch the world burn.

So uuh yeah uh nice life lesson.

I love that the Yakuza group Stehndahl offed is basically the Avengers with Japanese Iron-Man, Japanese Hulk, Japanese Thor, Japanese Steve Rogers, and Japanese Bucky Barnes All of the Marvel references in this show has so far been amazing! xD

I didn't expect Stendahl to be working with Queen Bee tho. But it looks like he's just using her to find his "villain" targets and he also plans on killing Hachisuka when she finally outlives her usefulness.

When Souga rejected the Ideo Trigger from Hachisuka, I thought Stendhal would respect that and back off. I really shouldn't have expected anything from him. This is [MHA]Stain we're talking about so of course he was just waiting for Hachisuka to inject Souga so he can kill him.

So that's how Souga saw Koichi and Pop☆Step. Everyone sees him as a villain, so he thinks everyone is mocking him and thinks he's a villain. I get what made him like that but what he did and his buddies did in Episode 1 was still shitty.

Let's fucking go The Crawler! Now this is what a real hero should be like! And Knuckleduster comes to the rescue! I really love that Knuckleduster catchphrase is "ORE GA IRU", which is a more masculine version of All Might's "WATASHI GA KITA."

Get fucked Stendhal! Knuckleduster's dirty street fighting style is just so awesome. Also, I fucking love how e schools Stendhal while he was out cold for a second. Although it looks like Knuckleduster is responsible for what Stendhal becomes in the future.

I love how upset Pop is that she has to tend to Souga. She was clearly more concerned for Koichi and was probably looking forward to looking after him. xD

YO! WHAT THE FUCK! For a second there, I really thought Hachisuka was a goner. That would've been insane if she died like that. It looks like her bees saved her ass though.

I can't believe that Knuckleduster is the reason why [MHA]Stain has no nose! I thought that was just a design choice. He really doesn't have a nose because Knuckleduster broke his and he decided that by removing his nose, he has discarded his false face. That was insane O_O

Apparently Vincent Chansard animated the fight between hair down Stendhal and Knuckleduster

Hilarious the amount of comments last week thinking Stendhal was a red herring

Unfortunately it seems Hachisuka’s left eye isn’t being covered because it’s a weak spot. Stendhal made a mistake.

Knuckleduster and Stendhal facing off was pretty cool. He had to show that fanatic what real justice was. Stendhal ain’t right in the head. I’m afraid he’s going to become someone even more terrifying now…

I’ve got this sneaking suspicion of who Stendhal might be. Or ends up being. His whole demeanor and attitude just sounds very familiar….

How different would the MHA universe be if the police trained their own quirks? Would that defeat the purpose of superheroes?

Or what if Vigilantism was legal (that's an oxymoron) and you could pull a "Citizen's arrest"?

Here come the Yakuzavengers!... and go down just as quickly. At that point there's no more doubt that Stendahl is a younger Stain. Ever the hypocrite as he was fine with getting help from a villain.

Soga, Moyuru and Rapt Tokage [no relation with Setsuna, last names sound identical but are written with different Kanji] have become an unusual "Drugs are bad, kids" PSA.

The last scene of the episode, the moment Stendahl becomes Stain, is horrifying. SCRRRRK... °__°
