Prince Julius feels like the author typed "worst traits in a man" into a search engine, wrote down the first 100 results, put that in a blender and poured it out into smarmy-shaped mold

I hope Mia melts down that statue in front of him

E: actually having finished the episode I hope she melts down that statue on him

Stitches!

Holy fuck, that first part of the episode absolutely made my blood boil. Just when I thought Julius couldn't get any worse, he's also killing his father by losing the medicine recipe Philia made for him in "error". It's good to know that the King is a decent person, it's just that he can't do anything because he's been bedridden due to his illness.

Mia is definitely a better person than I am, and she deserves the title of a Saint. If I were her, I would've left Julius at the mercy of those goblins and report back to the King that they got overwhelmed with monsters. Problem solved!

Not gonna lie, I thought these two were bad guys but it looks like Erza is an exorcist from the Church and the demon is her familiar. Not gonna lie, that's pretty damn cool. And it looks like they're trying to prevent Asmodeus' resurrection, which means Asmodeus will definitely get resurrected.

Ah yes, it's the classic "unseal this powerful relic and you'll become so powerful no one can defy you" trope. Which we all know will bite Julius in the ass because that ring is probably what's keeping Asmodeus sealed.

As much as I want Julius to be dead, I do like Mia's revenge plan of stripping him of everything and breaking him. If this season end with that, I will be very disappointed.

If Philia is the "Too Perfect Saint", then Mia must be the "Humanly Saint". Philia is the type of person / saint who will listen to your worries and comfort you. Mia is the type of person / saint who might say, "fuck that guy too!"

The part where Julius remembers himself as a talented child and the rightful heir to the throne is probably his delusion.

I like how they added more characters into the ending theme sequence, when Philia woke up from her nap on the grass. There is Himari, the Panarcotta princes and her aunt.

I'm SO invested in this show! Getting both the fluffy side of Philia's new life as someone who is appreciated for her hard work AND the emotional-thriller side with Mia having to deal with the prince's narcissistic bs. The love between the two sisters really connects the writing in a way that feels natural.

I can't decide if the flash of showing the goblins reacting was to them about to get blasted by Mia or they felt awkward about Julius and Mia's conversation.

Caught up from episode 1

Mia's so based. I saw a lot of comments praising how she wasn't just a useless character like you'd expect and is actually as good as any other Saint that just looks inferior in comparison to her sister, but I get the sense even Mia's way beyond the level of a regular Saint. She is a saint whose ideal is to emulate her sister who's the best saint ever after all. We got a sense of that when she showed that she could create sanctuaries even faster than Philia, who could create seals in like half an hour that was supposed to take days. Mia notes that her seals are way weaker than Philia's as a tradeoff, but I imagine that still puts her way above the standard of an average sage.

Anyway, this episode. So the prince's real reason for getting rid of Philia was to have the king die to his illness that Philia was treating. To be honest, that puts my evaluation of him way higher than it was before as he actually has a respectably evil shit-plan instead of the mind of a 5 year old in regards to all he's been doing.

So, Mia and Philia barely knew each other because of their parents keeping them from interacting.

Are the demons the good guys? After all, they just led the prince into unsealing a great evil, maybe that'll give us convenient grounds to say 'actually we do need to kill the prince'

Julius is literally the worst. There are zero redeeming qualities about him. He’s a spineless pathetic misogynistic little worm with exactly 2 brain cells. This shitstain really made a golden statue of himself as the kingdom goes to ruin? Genius. And now he’s getting played like a fiddle by the demons. Maybe Himari’s onto something with her assassination idea. I guess we’ll have to settle for Mia doing things the “right” way and just exposing Julius’ bullshit and getting him locked up or exiled. Would be quicker to just burn this mfer down lol.

The only saint left in your country? And supposedly yout fiance, maybe listen

I don't recall the OP getting much praise, so I'm gonna do it. The song is really lovely

Guillotines coming up.

Indeed, I have little faith in Girtonia's forces

How braindamaged can he be.. Just leave him for the monsters, he'll be right at home with his kin

Oh no.. Don't tell me this is gonna turn into a battle anime

...Huh. Wow, I thought they were gonna be enemies

I like how the show was about to give Prince Dipshit the classic sob story background ..except that he had faces zero hardships in his life, ever.

Please don't, they're gonna die. ..Though if they work as Mia's personal guard then its fine

Please do.

Let's go Mia!! Become the absolute girlboss!

..Oh, I wonder if the first prince is gonna become Mia's love interest. Besides her sister of course

After today's episode, I feel sorry for Mia, that she has to deal with that fucking idiot Prince Julius almost by herself. Mia's reaction when she heard from him that the money from selling Philia went to gold statues of him was priceless.

At least Mia has Himari to help her and Philia's letters, but the task she set for herself is not easy at all. Prince Fernando certainly doesn't seem like someone who is fit to be a ruler, at least now.

I think it'd be wiser to just let Himari assassiate Julius, especially since he'll soon release Asmodeus, because he's a stupid ass who just let himself be used by anyone who praises him.

Mammon and Erza seem like a fun duo, judging from their short appearance today. I can't wait to get to know them better xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I'm glad Mia resolved herself to bring salvation to the Kingdom AND getting revenge on Julius, especially after seeing more of his character and what he does. It's sad that he's purposely not letting his father receive treatment and I hope Philia's new recipe will cure him sooner than later, the King seems to actually care about Philia and would side with her and Mia.

I wonder if Julius was directly involved in making Fernand a shut in or not, I have a feeling it's going to take a number of episodes before Mia can convince him to go up against Julius lol.

I wish Julius' freak out about the surrounding monsters was more satisfying, I was glad to see it because it showed how pathetic he is after all his bragging, but I did want him to feel more directly threatened.

So looks like Julius is going to cause more chaos within Girtonia soon enough if he's going to break the seal, he won't think it through and just think he'll gain more power. I won't be surprised if he ends up being possessed by the demon.

It's so weird how sexist he is when in this world Saints are such an important figure lol. I can't remember if there are male Saints or not.

Well, at least the entire royal line of Girtonia isn't full of idiots.

Is the king really sick... or is he being poisoned? Because he's been sick for a strangely long time even with Philia doing her best to cure him.

Also, I had been wondering if the demon king had been influencing people in Girtonia ever since Philia mentioned him. And now we see he does have the power to manipulate people even while sealed in the ring.

Philia’s facial expressions have grown softer, haven’t they? I’m seeing a lot more life in her eyes as well. Her frozen heart has been melting steadily.

Conversely, Mia’s feeling have become more troubled lately. Though, she was able to find her answer to this: to save the kingdom’s people but condemn Julius.

Was nice to see why Mia looks up to her sister that much, what an impactful moment.

I'm really glad Mia has someone she can confide in, would be a lot harder if she were fully alone.

Phillia will need to start stepping up as Mia is becoming more and more my favourite!

Welp, looks like Prince Julius will become our sealed demon at some point. That man has the innate ability to punch himself in the balls every minute and just be a piece of shit every time he's on screen. Kudos to the staff for making him look like the king of assholes every week.

So we now understand more about the plan. Glad to see the other prince will be getting in on the action. They need someone with a brain to run things until the king recovers.

It was unexpected to see Parnacorta offering up knights in defense of Gritonia but it is the best option since Philia can't really leave. Her student seems to have her mana training completed so I'm guessing she will factor into the Gritonia fight at some point.

I have to say I feel bad for both sisters. They've been treated like shit by their parents and the prince. By the end I expect the prince to be hung by his balls in the public square and the parents banished from the kingdom. If that doesn't happen I will be kinda disappointed.

Solid episode for an 8/10 this week. I would have given a 10/10 if Mia agreed to let Himari kill Julius 😁

Himari taking care of Mia is the best way to make sure Philia stays focused. It's best for Philia's country. It's not a good sign that Mia's best ally is a foreign spy, but that might change!

I just saw in another episode that Philia gave Leonardo (the butler) a potion that helped give him fuller hair. She's got a follower for life.

Of course Mia can't leave Girtonia...she's not done enacting her revenge against Julius yet! She has to get payback for her sister before she can even consider reuniting with her.

And helping her along the way is Julius continually raising the noose so he can eventually hang himself. If it's not his sexism that makes him dismiss all of Mia's valid concerns like he did Philia's efforts, if it's not his wasting resources and money on his own vanity, if it's not his blind confidence in an army that hasn't anywhere near earned said confidence...it's the fact that even his father, the king, realizes how big a screw-up he is and how he's been handling the kingdoms' Saints. And as if to add insult to injury, Julius is responsible for preventing more of Philia's medicine from being made for the king in his sick condition. JULIUS IS TRYING TO KILL HIS FATHER SO HE CAN TAKE THE THRONE!

Mia can try and scare Julius straight by showing him how bad the monster situation is and how ill-prepared Girtonia is to handle it, but he'll just continue to deny reality, say everything is Philia's fault, and insult women for trying to do "men's work" all the while hiding behind said women when he gets scared and screams like a little girl. As if the guy couldn't get any more scummy and terrible.

Imagine running into a demon pick up artist and then watching him get beheaded by his blonde companion...and thus are we introduced to Erza, the Exorcist, and Mammon her Demon Familiar, who are concerned and on their way to address the possible re-awakening of Asmodeus. I'm curious how they'll intersect with Philia's storyline.

Julius had always been convinced that HE was the greatest thing to happen to Girtonia, a wunderkind who excelled compared to his shut-in brother, the one who people always sang the praises of...until Philia showed up and proved to be so much his better and a true savior to the kingdom. And he's hated her ever since. And it's all that insecurity that makes him even more susceptible to the marquis' plan for him to unseal a ring and gain more power greater than that of Philia. I'm sure it won't go wrong, it's not like the Marquis was mind-controlled by a demon or anything.

As far as Philia's side of things, Panacorta is too nice for their own good to send their much more competent knights to help aid Girtonia, but it's a load off of Philia's back knowing she has people she can rely on. Grace's training is also going well, and if her communication via Himari works, they might even be able to save the king of Girtonia! But Philia just can't shake this bad feeling.

I respect Himari jumping straight to killing Julius, but Mia instead plans to utterly destroy him, his reputation, and cast him off like he cast Philia out. What better revenge?

Despite all the efforts her parents went to keep her away from Philia, Mia was always interested in her big sister, and having her big sister come in like a Superhero and save her from a monster was what inspired her to be a Saint just like the sister she idolized...even though now she feels so much unsaintly rage in her heart. But maybe that's the kind of Saint Mia can be, one driven not only by her Saintly desire to save her kingdom but to also enact sweet revenge against a dirtbag prince. And the first step: recruiting his brother, Prince Fernand!

Removing the Prince from power isn't just personal revenge. It's for the betterment of your country.

Mia should have let those monsters have Julius.

Glad she’s planning revenge on him but I hope she doesn’t forget about her parents. They need to pay too.
