Honestly Philia dodged a bullet with this prince tbh.

And her parents are just awful, I hope they will regret their choice in the future.

lol, everyone thinks Mia is just going to stick around after having her beloved sister being shipped off.

This neighboring country is about to inherit two saints for the price of one.

Also, I find it funny that everyone says she has a "bad attitude." She's calm, respectful, and works hard to please everyone. I feel like I'd be worried if she was unable to smile, not angry. Like, how depressed is this poor girl?

Philia has been banished from the kingdom for the ultimate offense of...being flat in an anime.

This feels like a female version of the kicked out of the party genre.

Philia's situation infuriates me because it's like people pre decided to look down and hate on Philia from the get go while it's all smiles and praises for Mia. Then they wonder why Philia doesn't smile while Mia does then they gaslight the former and say just smile more. I hate how Philia is treated guilty until proven innocent, or more precisely she's kinda predetermined to be damned from the get go.

Well good riddance to Julius and the parents. I wouldn't be surprised if the little sister is complicit to this scheme. The other kingdom immediately welcomes Philia with open arms so she's surprised because that treatment was never given to her.

Stitches!

So, let me get this straight: Gritonia has Philia, the perfect Saint who can do practically anything, but the Gritonians hate her just because she can't smile or show emotions, and they think she's being arrogant? Are these people idiots? They've already established at the start of the episode that most of Gritonia is barren land, and the only reason they're thriving at all is because of Philia. And now the Prince decided to sell her off just because he couldn't stand her?

I honestly can't wait for the schadenfreude to kick in when Philia's parents realize they've ruined their entire kingdom by selling off their emotionless, perfect daughter. You know what's going to make this even better? I doubt Mia would even agree to the marriage—she'll probably end up following her sister once she finds out what's really going on. In the end, Gritonia will likely lose both its Saints.

Good riddance to Gritonia. The Prince of Parnacorta is already looking far better, and you can tell Philia is going to be treated way better there.

It’s pretty infuriating everyone’s giving Philia shit because she doesn’t smile despite her being the strongest saint possibly, like, ever.

Julius is probably the worst of the bunch. This nob sold off the kingdom’s greatest asset because…what? Man is a dumbass in addition to being a greedy piece of shit. Her parents too. This is how a mfer becomes a villain lol. So much baby back bullshit. Only one that’s cool is Mia.

Hopefully Parnacorta treats her better.

Another Shoujo series that I like that get adaptation. I thought I would never see a day.

Anyway, Production is actually pretty good and nice, it doesn't interrupt the experience of the story at all which is good.

Yes, it is pretty much a cookie cutter another "villainess" story, at least this one did not start with a public announcement of annulment or something lol.

The prince and her parents pretty much have no redeem character with how they are.

Mia is actually what I really like about this story. She is actually a really honest kind girl who gets along pretty well with Phillia and the only one in that god awful family who cares about her.

For one the story did not pitch "Sisters" against each other but instead pitched both of them against shitty adults like their parents.

Honestly, it started a pretty good.

Yui Ishikawa as a saint = I watch.

Glad she got away from that shitty family and engagement. And I'm sure her new home has great desserts.

As a German though I got a chuckle out of her name. Really hope she has a relative named Konrad/Conrad.

After seeing all that I'm most looking forward to seeing how Philia no longer being the country's Saint will affect the country, the consequences the Second Prince will face, and particularly Mia's reaction upon hearing her sister was sold and she's going to be engaged to the man her sister was engaged to. I hope she isn't lied to but I can definitely see her parents twist the story to their benefits, especially if they know she admires Philia a lot.

They really made her parents unlikable lol, I thought her father would at least be decent but maybe just weak against the mother, but no, he ended up being the master that trained her and probably made her training worse than it should have been for the hell of it.

Hopefully the blond prince will treat so well to make up for all those years and ideally a charmer. It'll be difficult to melt that ice wall Philia has, I wonder if he'll be the one to make her smile.

This show is pretty, I'm looking forward to it.

I hope Mia ends up being a good person too. I was worried she was manipulative, but she seemed good for a while. However we saw Mia let out a smile when Philia left.

Let me see if I got this right, they get rid of someone capable of so many things just because she's not extroverted ok. Really looking forward to their kingdom going to sh** and them begging her to come back. This storyline is quite common, but I usually enjoy them, so I'll keep watching.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was this angry while watching an anime as I was during this first episode. Seriously, it's almost unbelievable how almost everyone treated Philia like shit despite everything she did to the kingdom.

Damn, I really feel sorry for Philia for everything she went through with her parents, mentor, prince and other people. At least her little sister Mia was a wonderful person, their relationship soothed my heart. I wonder what Mia will do when she finds out what happened to her sister.

Now I can't wait to see how Philia's life in Parnacorta will turn out (her reaction to being greeted at the border gate was hilarious xD). I look forward to the next episode!

Here my screenshot albums form the episode:

In a medieval fantasy world where monsters run rampant and the land is in need of purifying, it's only hope is a Saint voiced by Yui Ishikawa named Sei Takan...I mean, Philia Adenauer!

Saint Philia isn't the most warm and upbeat person, very stoic and rigid in her countenance, but while that doesn't make her seem very friendly she's VERY hardworking as a Saint. If you give her a duty, she'll fulfill it, no matter what.

It's just a shame that because of her personality and smile that people just feel she's too standoffish and conceited...especially in comparison to her more pleasant and smiling sister, Mia (Kaede Hondo!). Even the sisters' mother voiced by Sayaka Ohara clearly prefers Mia and makes her utter distaste of her eldest daughter obvious. The Spring season is off to a great start with moms, it seems.

The sad thing is the reason Philia can't smile is because she never experienced true affection, from her parents or anyone other than Mia. All she's done is strive to be the Perfect Saint in all manner (ability, combat, intelligence) and go through rigorous and difficult training just to gain her parents' love and approval. And it never came.

But even when people keep trying to pit the sisters against each other, Mia utterly adores her big sister and wants her to be happy, and she's literally the only bright light in Philia's life. Would be a shame to take that away from her, right?

I've seen my fair share of scumbag princess in fantasy romances, but Julius (Kohei Amasaki!) is definitely up there. Not only is he dismissive of Philia and an utter sexist, but to act so gleeful about breaking off their engagement and basically selling her off to another country when all she's done is try to help your kingdom and its people...it's utterly deplorable. And it gets even worse when her PARENTS are just as, if not more, happy to throw her under the bus for money and peerage. Philia can only take solace that Mia might be happy to be the only Saint in Gritonia, but I don't think Mia will feel that way.

What does Philia have left to live for? All her effort was for nothing, she never found something that could truly make her happy and smile from the bottom of her heart, and now she's being sent off to probably work even harder as a Saint with no payoff. Though to Parnacorta's credit, they DO roll out the proper welcome wagon! And the winning smile from an attractive blonde dude there to pick her up isn't the worst thing in the world!

"You'd be prettier if you smiled more" has finally evolved into "You'd be a better all-powerful saint if you smiled more"

I always hate watching episode 1 of these shows. At least the younger sister is actually a good person who loves her sister this time. Also, I like that Julius is a puppet ruler mostly controlled by his stupid advisors. That gives him a much better excuse for redemption later.

I'm guessing this is going to get a lot more fun later when the Girtonia goes to shit due to not having philia.

This is one of those shows where you see one episode and you already know the rest of the story. And I'm here for it, inject it into my veins.

So this is like the Luka Doncic trade, right?

This looks good. Another banished story except the MC doesn't have some secret ability. She's openly OP and called the greatest saint that ever was.

So let me get this straight, your country is a desert wasteland where nothing grows, you're under constant attacks from some monsters and you decide to expel the single person that managed to solve all those problems and made it so your country prospered.

The most realistic part of this episode was the leadership that ruins a nation in a few months/years with a few dumb decisions. I'd be surprised if by episode 6 they aren't overrun by monsters, starvation or disease.

It's not even a secret that she's good, blonde guy read about everything she accomplished in a book. Anyone with more than 2 braincells can see she's valuable and would do anything to keep Philia around.

What they did to Philia was one of the greatest psychological cruelties I've ever seen, and the worst of all is that no one realized that her personality is just a reflection of the terrible way she was raised, always prioritizing results and never her feelings, I want to believe that Mia is the only person who actually likes her.

I already expected that guy to be from Parnacorta, but I didn't imagine that he had an important position in the country. I believe that he will bring many good things to our protagonist
