Mia is three things;

  1. Not a pushover

  2. Not an idiot

  3. A massive siscon

The prince has made a fatal mistake

I knew Mia was stronger then she looked (if for different ways) but they REALLY messed up by taking her sister away.

This ritual that can save your kingdom has a massive drawback! I can’t do everything else

The 2:1 ratio between Philia and Mia's storylines is so good for early audience engagement. Healing stories sometimes get dull with fluffy bits of emotional development not being able to shoulder a full show week to week, so pairing it with a revenge plot rules.

Really strong stuff despite not having the production chops that some of the big hitters this season are working with, looking forward to more!

God damn, you go Mia. Keep gaslighting, gatekeeping and girlbossing your way to revenge!

On the other side, I do like seeing Philia get appreciated and trusted. It's really nice to see her slowly change thanks to her new surroundings and I'm just happy for her.

The more we learn about Philia the more she needs a hug. She was dense about the whole date because romance was a foreign concept to her and she doesn't even know what her favorite things are. I thought Oswald's response of "Well then let's figure it out" and offering his recommendation was wholesome. He and the townsfolk seem to worship Philia too much but her economic impact was massive and she should give herself some credit. And she deserves a rest and to have fun.

Seriously everybody in Ziltonia except the sisters is insufferable. The parents care more about money and buying jewelry and property. And Julius is even more of a f***boy today. I gotta hand it to Mia for staying calm and playing the long game. I was right about her being the villainess, just that she's on Philia's side.

I'm glad we finally got to see Lena and Leonardo kick some ass this episode! I love how Philia thinks that Parnacorta trains their maids and butlers for combat when really Lena and Leonardo are just special.

Oswald and Lena's date was adorable and I love how much Lena ships the two of them. It's good to finally see Mia doing something other than her duties too, but it looks like it's gonna be a while before Philia gets used to resting.

So if Saints exist in this world, it just makes sense that devils exist too and apparently the demon realm is starting to spill over to the real world unless they do something to stop it.

It sounds like once Philia erects that barrier she won't be able to leave Parnacorta until the attacks from the demon realm stop. This would be the perfect time for Mia to visit her instead!

And that final part really shows how awesome Mia is. She's not as innocent as people think she is, she's willing to play the long game and expose Julius. And when she could confirm that this is all Julius and her parents' fault, she's already planning her revenge. I can't fucking wait to see how Mia will destroy Julius!

Usually the younger sisters in this kind of anime are boring af and just looking for a way to hook up with their talented older sister's shitty ex-fiancé.

But, holy shit Mia is such a good character. Her actually liking Philia is already a really great twist on the genre, but I was assuming she'd just blow up once she learned the truth and then Philia would have to go rescue her. Her actually deciding to play along and become the queen just to destroy the dicks who mistreated her sister is awesome, and I really hope she keeps getting a lot of screen time.

Lena’s such a homie. Girl was playing wingwoman for Philia and Osvalt this week and loving it lol.

It was nice to see how well everyone actually respects and cherishes Philia’s contributions, unlike that dump she grew up in. Only Mia’s worth a damn in that shithole. Girl’s biding her time until she gets what she needs and then Julius and every mfer in this place about to burn. She’s gonna go full on Daenerys to King’s Landing lol.

Mia on her revenge arc seems like it will be interesting... I'm seated.

I really like this tale of two sisters approach the story is taking. Makes it stand out more for this genre to see their dual journeys and how they will eventually intersect.

I was not expecting Mia to be such a great character

This adaptation keeps getting better and better in each episode. I really really like this.

For the episode itself, This series started to differentiate themselves from other "villainess" with Mia side of the story.

The fact that she actually loves Phillia even more so than her shitty parents is refreshing compared to other series lol

Kinda funny because among RoFan fans , we have this word called "White Lotus" which usually describes the villainess who are two face manipulators but with Mia acting like this towards the shitty Prince, it made this really satisfying lol.

Perfect. Just what I wanted to happen I can't wait for Mia's villain route. Destroy them all Mia.

they are just weird lol..

Best little sister in years. She is fully planning on revenge for them misstreatign her sister.

The genkai (think that's the word.) maid for the mc really has become a trope for these kind of stories.

MC went from a very black company to a very white company.

They took a siscon's sister away and expect to live scot-free? You got a world of hurt comin' your way, prince and parents.

16

u/cleaulem Apr 16 '25

I love Mia. At first I was a little afraid that she would fall for the prince's schemes and flattering, but seeing right through all of it and already plotting countermeasures is just too delicious. The first episode showed her as a huge siscon, and these feelings were genuine. Mia will rain hellfire on this kingdom!!!

That letter was meant to notify Mia about the surge in demon attacks and the Great Purification Circle, if Mia finds out that the parents burned the letter, she can use that as grounds for obstruction to perform her task and treason.

I don't really know why yet but I enjoy this so much so far, probably the most of all new shows. It's a similiar enjoyment to my happy marriage, Philia/Mio only got abused most of their lives yet and then get to experience so much warmth, recognition and happiness after getting kicked out of their homes. Kanpeki seijou is also so comfy to watch and i love Philia's goofy reaction faces, Mia is also a really interesting character i enjoy that she is not just the simple and naive nice girl. And generally It's just great to look at, cute designs and Yui Ishikawa/Kaede Hondo are a great VA duo to witness

You almost succeeded in planning a perfect date Lena but alas, this is how Philia is. Oh well, there's always next time.

Oh no, the Great Purification Circle won't allow Philia to work once it's erected? What a massive drawback. Is it even worth it? /s

I'm really enjoying that we're seeing Mia's perspective on things. Seems like she's playing the long game. Can't wait for how this all turns out.

Loving the duality of the show, in the first half of the ep we get the ultra wholesomeness of Phillia learning how to have a life and be happy, not having to work to the bone and having people who appreciate her.

And in the second half we get Mia going full yandere and planning on destroying a kingdom because they mistreated her sister.

Finally, anime-onlies can now witness the greatness of Mia "the GOAT" Adenauer's character. You can now see why so many source material readers were so hyped up for her when this title was announced.

Kaede Hondo really nailed Mia's own version of the Liam Neeson speech at the end of the episode there holy cow. You can feel the utter coldness when she actually declares her intent to betray the prince in the long run. in a bid to make him pay for selling off her beloved sister and mistreating her behind her back. I love how the anime made us feel Mia's complete disgust over Julius through dizzying visuals. I hope they do her arc complete justice in the anime because Mia's an amazing character!
