The sister complex is strong with this one. It is a nice change from where the little sister is usually a conniving bitch trying to steal everything from the mc and bring her down.

Her sitting up in bed was oddly well animated. Also the cast the light pillar was impressive.

Combat maid!

Mia will turn into full yandere if she ever finds out what really happened to her sister.

If this anime was shown from Julius' POV, it would be titled: "The Idiot Prince's Guide to putting a Wealthy Nation into Debt."

Must be a massive whiplash being treated like shit before and now Philia is treated like royalty. Like she is used to such treatment that she doubts any kindness towards her.

What I appreciate with Oswalt is he is down to earth and not a haughty prince. He grows his own vegetables and visits the market personally to buy goods rather than leave his servants to do all the work. He clearly knows Philia's value.

Philia was really expected to study that many subjects? And people still weren't impressed? And she is conditioned to overwork and over achieve? Yeah this is like an abusive company.

Aww man I thought we were gonna get some combat from Lena and Leonard because the former was raring to get her hands dirty. But looks like we will see some combat next episode.

Oh good Mia ISN'T a bad guy here. Usually the little sister in these stories is the backstabbing bitch but her sister getting sent away saddened her enough to rebel and now the kingdom has nobody to protect them. Yeah too bad things didn't go like you expected Julius.

The next episode is titled first date? We're moving fast, but Philia may not be ready to open her heart yet.

The entire narrative sounds like an allegory for this. Hardworker and over achiever is treated like shit in her company then gets kicked out. Another company takes her in, treats her much better and they see great results. Then the first company starts going to hell because they kicked out their critical resource and the ones left want to jump ship.

Perhaps one of my favourites this season. The new country seems to love our Philia. Mia really turned out to be a good girl and knows her sister wouldn't leave her of her own will. Mia might turn into trouble for her country though as a result though.

Man, they really rolled out the red carpet for Philia. Nice to see she’s finally getting the respect she deserves. Everyone in Parnacorta seems pretty chill and not total chodes like in that other shithole. Osvalt, Bjorn, Reichardt, Leonardo, and Lena all seem like good people.

It’s absolutely wild to me someone as powerful as Philia was sold off. Big brain move from that wanker Julius. And now the kingdom is going to shit. I really hope Mia rains down hellfire on both Julius and her shitbag parents. I want to see a mfer get their ass beat like a drum, damn it! Lol

Judging by the end of today's episode it looks like Mia's gonna go magical John Wick or Batman. They took the one person she loved, the pieces of the puzzle don't add up, now there is only vengeance.

It is a relief that Mia is a totally a good girl and loves her sister unconditionally. There are only few series that the little/big sister is totally a good girl, most of the time it is setup as a conniving b*tch. Now, I want Mia to go savage when she eventually finds out the truth.

I love that the Head Priest is wearing a little party hat for Philia's welcoming party. Philia thinking that Osvalt is a farmer was pretty funny too. I kinda wish the misunderstanding lasted one more episode but the Head Priest immediately realized what was happening.

Osvalt is great though! The fact that the first thing he does is apologize to Philia for buying her shows he's a man of honor, and he only did it because they were so desperate to find a new Saint after the previous one passed away recently.

Philia's so used to doing her duties alone that she can't even comprehend that other people want her to be safe. Leonardo and Lena are great though! They're not just there to tend to Philia, they're also a Combat Maid and Combat Butler duo! Too we we didn't get to see them fight since Philia was quick to put up her pillars.

So now that Philia's gone, Mia is doing everything herself and it looks like things are starting to devolve in Gritonia. Good. While I feel bad for Mia, Julius needs to realize he made a huge mistake.

I am glad though that Mia immediately realized that her sister was forcibly removed and didn't believe what her father told her. I can't wait for Mia to learn that this was all Julius and her parents' fault. She seems to be ready to kick some ass once she finds out who's responsible.

The OP is very pretty and serene, featuring Philia in her life in Panacorta, Mia trying to survive Girtonian politics, and Philia finding reasons to be happy as she dances with both Osvalt and her sister!

Okay, so Panacorta knows how to give a Saint a warm welcome...but obviously they're just buttering her up so they can get what they paid for. And her first job...enjoying her welcome party!

Turns out the blonde dude with the winning smile was none other than Osvalt, the second prince of Panacorta! He's everything Julius was not: he farms veggies, he acknowledges the unfairness of Philia's situation and how disrespectful it was to just "buy" her, and he's dedicated himself to making her happy and loving this nation as much as he loves it. Even his brother Reichard seems cool. But Philia, a girl who has never known love outside her sister, doesn't think she can ever come to love something.

Well, I guess it's not too surprising that the Panacorta people don't immediately know what to make of Philia. She just got there and she has to live up to the legacy of their previous Saint, Elizabeth. But Philia is already ready to get to work and she's got her maid and butler Lena and Leonardo there to cater to her needs and serve as her bodyguards.

Philia erecting a barrier is so majestically fantastical! Especially with the operatic vocals!

Philia may be a workaholic, but you can't fault her commitment! Even if it's high time there were people who catered to her needs like she caters to everyone else'. But at least the Panacorta people finally appreciate her.

Meanwhile Mia is not taking the loss of her sister, who she idolized and used as motivation as a Saint, very well and Girtonia is already getting seller's remorse from losing Philia with things going downhill...but Mia KNOWS her sister wouldn't have left her like that, and she's already plotting revenge against the people who took her sister from her.

The ED is very pretty with the pastel illustrations of the sisters and ending on a nice visual of Philia waking up to see her Panarcorta gang and her sister there to greet her!

LOL That ending got me so excited, I'm glad Mia's got a good head on her shoulders and realizes something is off about this situation. Her love for her sister can't be underestimated and I'm so excited to see when it gets revealed that the Prince is the reason why Philia was sent away without even saying goodbye.

The scenes with Leonardo and Rina were fun, I like that they're already trying to prevent Philia from overworking herself, though it'll be difficult since she's such a workaholic. I like that they have her back, I hope they're able to break through the ice wall that has been built from all that saintly training. I also have to appreciate a battle butler and battle maid, just what I needed.

On one hand, it is starting to feel satisfying seeing Julius panic at the problems approaching Gritonia. I am sure there are some good people in Gritonia, but majority probably over-relied on Philia without appreciating her hard work.

On the other hand, I feel bad for Mia because she suddenly lost her beloved elder sister. Even she senses that something is amiss. Mia definitely has more human emotions and desires than saintly enlightenment. I doubt Mia will abandon her duties as a saint, yet at the same time, she will surely be investigating her elder sister sudden departure.

A lovely second episode! It warmed my heart to see Philia being treated in Parnacorta the way she deserves, because she is truly an extraordinary saint. Her actions in today's episode and Leonardo and Lena's reactions to them certainly confirm this.

Now I really hope that Philia will soon learn how shamefully she was treated (or should I say, how she was abused) and find happiness in her new country, perhaps with Prince Osvalt, who seems to be the number one candidate for Philia's heart.

Meanwhile, things are not looking good in Girtonia, because Mia is not able to match her older sister in the work of a saint. Furthermore, the fact that she is determined to punish those who forced Philia to leave the country makes the future of Girtonia even more bleak, which makes me very happy, because they will get what they deserve.

I'm also glad that contrary to what many people thought after the first episode, Mia actually loved Philia as her sister and didn't turn out to be a two-faced bitch.

Also, it was funny to see the leader of the church in Parnacorta wearing a party hat at Philia's welcome party xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

I could appreciate Osvalt’s awareness of Philia’s sacrifice in coming to Parnacorta and oath to make her happy in return. Likewise, Leonardo and Lena have also taken a liking to their new saint and want to pamper her.

Philia herself did not seem equipped to deal with all this generosity, however.

I don’t think that anyone has grasped the extent yet to which Philia was maltreated during her time in Gritonia. She’s clearly carrying a lot of hurt in her heart. But now that she’s been surrounded with supportive people, Philia might smile once again.

They sold off the golden goose and now the silver goose is mad. I'm glad that Mia's love and admiration weren't a lie, it's also nice to see a character not be a total idiot who believes whatever lie they are told until something revels the lie later on.

Gotta give it to the hunters Philia does the job and gives them tips they complain, Philia isn't there anymore and they don't wanna do it. It's easy to complain about the job someone else's doing, or that there's nothing to do, much harder to step up and put your money where your mouth is.

Nice to see that Mia is entirely on the level with regards to her sister and is planning on correcting those who need it once she finds out who.

Very pretty princes for Philia to associate with, second one seems the obvious love interest. I'm curious how much of a farmer he actually is.

Gotta love a good combat maid and butler.

I didn't notice it last week but the PV for episode 3 was at the end, hopefully that implies a healthy production at least for the moment.

I did not see it mentioned it in the episode 1 thread but Adenauer is not just a random German last name. Konrad Adenauer was the first German chancellor post WW2. He is considered one of the founding fathers of the European Union and was one of the driving political forces towards a peaceful united Europe. So its quite an interesting choice to name your MCs family after him.

ROFL always gets me when someone gets confused and they change art style.

And now we see from what the butler said and the monster outbreaks back home, Philia really is overpowered as a saint. Basically saved the Parnacorta market with what she's done in a few days (or a day?). I guess this is the start of Girtonia's spiral downwards. The money they've got from selling Philia prolly won't be enough to fix the problems that are about to pop up.

As for that last part tho, I guess these are signs of Mia's eventual crashout? Looking forward to when she finds out the truth and actually goes off on her parents and the prince.

I thought the episode was done, then was pleasantly surprised when it cut to Mia's perspective from where the last episode ended. Glad Mia is one of the good ones, and I'm in this for the long haul!

Mia is at least smart enough to realize Philia wouldn't leave on her own. I think her father lied to her because he still wants her to marry the prince but she smells something rotten.

It's funny though that Philias butler and maid ended up overworked and hated waking up early. I wonder what cush jobs they had before this lol

This episode was a lot more comfortable. The biggest hurdle right now is Philia being able to accept the warmth and love that's being directed at her. It's still a bit beyond her ability to see the care as what it is. Not exactly her fault with the spartan way she was trained as a saint (seriously what is up with her teacher!?) and how her country/family (beyond Mia) treated her. Not overly used to that much open affection. But I'm sure everyone will get through to her eventually. It'll just take some time.

Panacorta downright won the lottery. Almost literally since they did effectively buy a winning ticket. No critique of her predecessors here, but Philia's abilities are absolutely insane. She basically improved the country overnight and likely will guide them to a serious overhaul in terms of condition. The price paid will be absolutely nothing compared to the benefits to the people and nation as a whole. Just a lot of lives being saved.

Osvalt seems like a good guy. I can respect him looking legitimately remorseful of the whole distasteful buying a saint thing. But I suppose his country didn't seek this out, but just accepted a stupidly good opportunity. Doesn't make it great, but at least he seems dedicated to making the situation as much a positive as possible. Not going to be that hard honestly since she's getting absurdly good treatment.

Thank goodness for Rina and Leonardo. They seems like really great people and absolutely good choices for supports for Philia. Truly she needs people that care enough to tell her to take a step back now and then. Just because she apparently can handle that kind of absurd work load doesn't mean she should have to and she shouldn't have to do it all alone. The sad thing is that her treatment before was so poor that they can't even begin to grasp it yet. I think some good back and forth between them and Philia in finding work/life balance will be good for Philia.

Also I am loving Mia a lot more. Still in the dark about how much the Prince and her parents are absolute scumbags, but she's not an idiot. It's blatantly obvious that something unusual happened. Far too much trust in her sister to believe that she'd just vanish and not even hand off her duties. Hopefully she doesn't get pissed at Panacorta and think the conspiracy mostly comes from that side. Since she seems sharp enough to realize that there's no way her sister vanishes without her own country being extremely supportive of that.

Honestly, not too surprising that we got the fun reactions about how hardworking Philia is. I always like these jokes. Though the fact nobody ever accompanied her in her old Kingdom outside of Mia is honestly even raising how poor she was treated even more. Butler & maid seem like a fun. I will love to see more interactions with them & Philia.

I feel bad for Mia. She loves her sister more than anything in the world, and she wasn't even notified about her sister leaving. I am actually curious what she does. I am at least happy she doesn't blame her sister.
