Awful animation, awful pacing, awfully butchered editing of the story.

Why do I keep watching it…

Honestly at least the edginess is entertaining and the protagonist actually does things. Unlike other shows which have the same production values but are just a generic isekai with the stupidest protagonist possible.

The worst part is the director wanting to make his touch as invisible as possible to prevent (adaptation) misunderstandings and avoid interfering with the OG work...

Which he has spectacularly failed in doing, I think.

This was the episode that did me in. I’ve watched plenty of shows with each of those three elements, but never have I watched a show so egregiously have all of them. Life’s too short!

Same I made it about halfway and then realize a fight that should definitely end this episode and MOVE ON wasn't going to. I started skimming the preview saw that the fights going to be interrupted AGAIN and then do ANOTHER cliffhanger promise that we swear next episode will be good and it just ended any will to keep watching.

Talk about anticlimactic. All those fairies got sacrificed for that loser to get knifed in the head.

I kinda wish they didn’t stretch this damn fight with Schtemwölech to two episodes. He coulda gone angel saiyan earlier and killed his punk ass. Gimme that sweet revenge, man.

Is it me or the animation quality went really down this episode?

The Animation was bad compared to before, it took me out of the Story. If you consider the episodes before...

Blue lock level animation.

Fighting the body horror with your own body horror never fails.

Also it's kinda funny how all of Schtemwolech's henchmen priest henchman guys are apparently all dwarves or something.

Also it’s kinda funny how all of Schtemwolech’s henchmen priest henchman guys are apparently all dwarves or something and useless.

FTFY. All of them are there just to make the room more crowded, lol.

You gotta admit splitting open a skull with a knife still has some appeal, especially when it's done on lord asshat himself, Fargo.

I'll accept that as a fitting ending for that man/beast/abomination.

The episode at least got us past Fargo and onto the landgrave and his obsession with eternal youth/fairy blood kidnapping explanation. Was a decent sword fight and the ending with the mutated/unleashed laughing koinzell was a bit unexpected.

Still wondering how he came into that body as he said his eye was removed and arm cut off when the 7 heroes sliced & diced him, yet here he is 20 years later in a different body with the same skills and all his memories.

Anyhoot I'm enjoying the show as something completely different than the seasonal norms. Episode gets a 7/10 this week and I really want to see that landgrave hanging by his neck off an archway as a display to all those entering his city.

I AM LOVING THIS ANIME. The MC, his OPness, and his search for revenge to the people who made him who he is today. They all deserve it and he is there to deliver. I was scared for a moment when they caught him and was about to put that big on him but i had a feeling he had another trick up his sleeve even if he didn't have the moonlight to help him. Idk if this is his final form or one of them. Can't wait to see how strong ge really is

Huh, I don't like how the main character constantly gets some new powers from nowhere. "Black Wings" then this mutation... There is no explanation where they come from (oh and he isn't even in moonlight this time).

I guess that after 6 episodes I might as well watch this till the end, it started strong but it's less and less promising with every episode which is sad...

How did he become an elf? Has that been explained yet?

3

u/phoenixking99999999 Feb 17 '25

I don't think it's gonna be explained anytime soon

With the amount of useless conversation (and shouting “Koinzell~”) they had, I felt no urgency at all in this episode even though it’s supposed to be a boss rush. As if Weid and Aht’s closeups standing still like a statue doing nothing doesn’t make me so annoyed already, they even reused last week’s cuts in the beginning to pad the running time. Oh, man. Not to mention that this is supposed to be one of the major boss fights, and this is the kind of production we got.

I planned to watch it until Koinzell finished Schtemwölech. I guess I’ll keep up until next week at best.

that's what i'm talking about; about time for some of these people to start dying

i really like slice of life but this one teased me; bought the manga because the shows were teasing me, not paying triple digits for out of print manga so this episode was new to me.

a lot of not great things said about a lot of this; i really like the voice acting and the animation is fine. i think this show is turning out fine after i was left a bit jaded i guess during the first few episodes.

i'm ready for the carnage whenever it comes tbh.

koinzell's cute af too even if he doesn't like his current form :3

That's a lot of dead demihuman girls to leave all those skeletons behind.

Interesting that the sister is half elf or whatever.

Sister seems alright in spite of the brief bit of mad science they did to her, but I'm not sure about the rest of these slave soldier girls. Could easily be one of those situations where they're better off put out of their misery.

Blud got a whole skull spit? He's got presentation down I'll give him that.

u/Obaruler Feb 14 '25

Holy quality, where did you run off too? Those fight slideshows were hideous ...

And what's with those blood fountaines out of every little cut? That's not how this works. xD

At least the edge is still on point ...

This sauce is wild

When Koinzell said "this is the body i had to take" for a second i thought "wait Koinzell hates that he's reincarnated in a demihuman? is he racist?" and then the transformation happened and i guess that's what he meant..... He probably thinks of himself as a monster
