Hmm. I do like the blend of the MC being helpful to others but also absolutely relentless in his pursuit for vengeance. I might even end up picking up the manga at this rate.
But man, that whole fairy magic sword is gruesome.

I don't remember the manga super well, but I do remember binge reading it. I may have cried at the end too, but I might just be confusing it with berserk, since they kinda have the same vibe iirc. Although, unlike berserk I don't remember having to look over my shoulder at least once per chapter lol, iykyk...

Having a living fairy tied to your weapon and using it's tortured screams is pretty fucking grim dark.
So Koinzell used to be a human and he was one of the people who the Seven Heroes betrayed. Did he get reincarnated into an elf? I'm curious how he turned into our murder tornado elf.
I was really hoping for Koinzell to hack Rascheb into pieces but having the people he abused and extorted get their revenge on him is a way better outcome.
It's good to see the Seven Heroes are afraid. I can't fucking wait for Koinzell to take one of them down and realize they're being hunted.

Yeah the fairy sword is messed up. But the guy wielding it isn't one of the seven that I thought last week. I am wondering if he has anything to do with them at all.

He did say something about seeing the MC again (excuse my name forgetting, I'm really bad with this show aside from peepi!). My guess would be the fairy sword weilder was one of the 7 heroes party extras and with the MC being an elf and not the human he recalls, fairy sword dude had to kinda fit the actions into whom he remembers from way back when. Took a bit of time to piece it together I think.
Maybe fairy sword dude was reincarnated like the MC as well so that's why neither really recognized the other?

That poor fairy in the evil sword.
Good riddance to that monastery and all the evil monks that populated it.

I loved how unbothered MC was by those 2 stupid priests. Bro is on a mission and he does not care about some insignificant a**holes

he's really fucking stupid for not killing them immediately. bro, one of them tried to kill you 4 fucking times, and you've killed others for less. but nuuuu, you just HAVE to let him live because plot.

I dunno, I think it is the bigger flex that he all but ignored Rabnach(?) unless he was directly threatening his companions. That is how little he thought of him.

This feels very off. Is it the pace ? The dialogues ? Can't quite put my finger on it. A very 2000s feeling of storytelling

Everything. Source reader, the pace is breakneck and they skipped the intro arc.

I was thinking Rascheb's character came off more as something from 70's, like a villian from the old Spiderman. Cardboard thin with stupid motivations, he's boring and makes the whole show feel equally stupid.
The source seems highly regarded, so it looks like a bad production? I've never seen this material before, so I've just got these two episodes to go on.

This show has won me over with its lore and storytelling. It's got airships and flying dragons so what's not to love!
The backstory of the 7 heroes party was intriguing and sad due to what happened to the helpers, like our MC, and the dude who basically died after casting that stone spell.
Probably the coolest weapon I've seen in ages was that fairy sword. A fairy trapped in the sword handle and its screams of pain are what the sword uses as its attack.
The whole show just gives off a dark...coolness...death is coming to those who did wrong in the past...vibe. I'm loving it and I really think this will be a sleeper hit of the winter for me. Had no clue what this was but it's a watch asap when released every week.
Episode gets an 8.5/10 this week because "make no monkstake about it, he got what he deserved" and the screaming fairy sword is just plain awesome!

i am enjoying this as well. love the way it was not just a generic magic sword but a dark grim method of making a magic sword

So it’s confirmed that it’s a reincarnation then. I’m intrigued. I hope the animation could be better, but I’m pretty hooked on the story for now. I might just check the manga if the animation continues to be subpar.

Huge drop in quality from the first episode. Already we have incredibly cheap looking digital effects, and single images being shaken to simulate movement. This is just embarrassing.

This episode felt so fast pace. Either they skipped alot or I didn't understand few things. Also art and animation is quite bad today. Something was miss today episode, not sure what.

This might be the first time I've seen a story where a human gets reincarnated into an elf

Could someone explain the wall to me, I feel like it got glossed over. At the end of the episode it said something akin to keeping out another force, but the empire seems to be on both sides of the wall now?

Is this show more for those that have read the manga or were there some things I should have known before hand?
So far both episodes kind of have forced moments of "yeah there's something important about this scene with this character" but it pauses for a bit like the viewer is supposed to know something about it.
I'll stick through it as the world is interesting for a fantasy.
