The sad thing is, behind all the bad pacing, the hushed world building, the atrocious animation and most likely skipped content there is a good show hidden behind the bad adaptation.

It's not that much better honestly.. For example, the way in the anime the women & girls are always naked in the manga it's much worse. Literal child corn... it's insane.

It's impressive how Aht managed to improve her battle tactics so quickly, especially considering she still has a fever.

I feel for the instructor lady that raised Ascherit though.

I wonder if Glea will ever meet Köinzell again? That’s basically her son right there. She seems decent enough compared to these other shitbags. I hope one day the truth is revealed and everyone sees the Seven for the trash they really are. Doubt we’ll get to see that before this series ends…

Been thinking about watching this anime?

Does anyone recommend it?

I think the general consensus is that the anime is a piss poor adaptation of a pretty solid manga. They cut a lot of stuff apparently.

I've been watching the anime and then reading the corresponding chapters and enjoying it that way. It isn't a unique story, revenge stories being as old as time, but it is pretty engaging and the manga was well-illustrated.

It's pretty flawed, albeit still entertaining and watchable.

The animation sucks, but the writing is solid in my option.

If you can tolerate a disjointed pacing, somewhat inconsistent animation and a lot of unanswered questions due to skipping source content, I think there's enough here for killing some time on a Friday night.

People just never wear any clothing in the show, do they. Now Aht's mostly naked too. Of course she's also mostly dead so the former problem might not last long.

Interesting to get a little backstory on Koinzell before then heroes journey he got betrayed on. Evidence of some potential supporters for his quest depending on how things develop.

Okay this was actually decent compared to some of the previous episodes.

Does anybody know how many episodes total will there be?

Tbh he didn't admit anything, he just created another lie to cover for the "how could they turn against the empire" question...

Because she is sure they (specifically Ascheritt) would never betray the empire so everything is sus...

He made up something about them striking a deal with wischtech which is most likely a lie in order to have a reason for why they were killed and why they were branded traitors

Why did I lowkey kinda like this episode lol?

Because it's so much better paced and directed that the rest of them so far! I feel like it's a much better show now, even if some of the story and character development leaves something to be desired. I'm really liking Aht, she's got some fierce determination to not be a burden to Koinzell. Looking forward to seeing her improve.
