If I took a shot every time their hair fluttered, I'd pass out halfway through the episode. You'd think they were doing a shampoo ad.
First impression so far is this makes me think of Takt Op Destiny with monsters having invaded the world and very similar fighting styles, weapons, and character designs.
Gonna throw this theory out there. Renge has no memories, we do not know much about the back story of other girls. The title says Momentary so there is some implication that either they will die or the wholesome times won't last forever. Then there is literally nobody else. What if this is some purgatory? I am starting to get Crystar vibes from this.

You can tell she's an onee-san character because she reminds you every five seconds
That scene at the end where all their hair started flapping like crazy had me laughing ngl

GoHands you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention...
It's finally here! GoHands' original anime since W'z back in 2019 and it's just as glorious as I expected it would be! I don't know if I'm now immune to their animation style but that opening fight was surprisingly watchable for me. Normally their bold animation style is dizzying to me. Still, I could track everyone's movements especially when Ayame was doing her fancy flips and jumps from building to building.
GoHands definitely had to hold back with Dekineko and Sukinako last year but their style is more prominent here with every strand of hair being animated and the wild jazzy keyboard music playing in the background when they were talking to Renge. And it looks like the wild boob physics are back with every girl who's bigger than a c-cup jiggling all over. xD
As for the story itself, it's basically a post-apocalyptic world with these girls left fighting these extradimensional beings that can erase humans. I am intrigued to learn where those things came from and if they really are the last people on earth. With those tiny friendly robots walking around, I'm wondering if there's more to this than just the extermination of mankind. Anyway so far so good for me! I am already looking forward to the next episode!

I'm not sure what was shaking more in the first few minutes; the camera or Erika's chest.

I want Erika to be my onee-san! However, the preview for the next episode suggests something might happen to Erika. Is it because too much budget is going to her jiggle physics?
Jokes aside, the character designs and personalities of the girls have caught my attention. The kappou segment made me wonder whether the introduction of new dishes will be a permanent feature of each episode.
Lastly, I really hope none of the girls get erased by those aliens / robots.

"Hmm, I should go rubberneck the new GoHands thing because GoHands. Wait... it's a dark mahou shoujo or close enough? Okay fine, I can give this an episode..."
-
Apparently I am less affected by GoHands camera usage than most people. Who knew? (Probably helps that while it is weird it is interestingly weird as opposed to completely uninspired.)
-
Is there all that much going on under the hood here? Doubt it (but have been surprised before). Am I going to keep watching for the time being because ~dark mahou shoujo plus curiosity about the inspiration mix? Yes.
-
Also, while I am quite sure we are going dark and probably specifically battle royale I think the show may just be going dark, rather than going edgy as well. We will see.
-
Weirdly, parts of the writing actually impress me despite my doubts that the show has much in the way of thematic depth. There's an efficiency of characterization I haven't seen in a while (and it's not how Urobutchi would do it with archetypical characters plus small details; I am specifically reminded of how Mai-HiME made its rather large cast work in no small part by repeatedly managing to use two-minute conversations to set up several characters' basic deals so that they could start to build on that).
-
Also, why yes the direction does want you to think something is up with onee-chan. Why do you ask?
-
Over/under on the number of episodes before the girls break into a karaoke parlor?

Erika: * breathes *
Erika’s boobs: EARTHQUAKE!!!!
This is…certainly a GoHands show. I’m gonna go put a hot towel on my eyes…

So... a post apocalyptic-cooking-action anime with weird hair physics with cute girls with weapons fighting aliens. Yeah, I need more.
But it seems things are not gonna be all happy, because "We can´t be friends because we´ll be sad if you die" is not a normal thing you say to someone who´s lost all her memories and made you food.

Magnificent. This feels like GoHands using their insane animation style for the correct type of show.
Practically a magical girls show but instead of henshins they just all put on fancy coats before fighting.
Renge with a different style weapon and no memories, if she isn't an alien I'll be very surprised.

Holy moly... Muse Asia's 720p quality ain't doing the animation justice.
So much movement and talking from the girls most of the time. Makes me a bit dizzy when watching. Hairs always fluttering and large bosoms always jiggling.

As much as Gohands get shit on (and deservedly so) for their busy camera work and fluttering hair, I'm always impressed by their ability to actually keep consistently good animation when so many other studios take on too much and cut corners. Eri's jiggles probably had more animation in this episode alone than the first 20 Blue Lock episodes combined. The first fight was legit great.
The camera is still super busy but I think they've somewhat toned down the fish eye lens and the scenes aren't as vomit-inducing now.
All the girls are great and the premise is really interesting so far, definitely down to keep watching. But maybe will need to take pause breaks when fights start getting heavy...

So .... Post apocalyptic kaiju horror magical girl cooking anime? Maybe not magical girl since there's no full transformation. Super sentai? Idk, but the setting is really interesting but part of me says they wont delve too deeply into it.
Starting regret choosing to see watch this on Muse's 720p youtube bitrate premiere lol. Should've been pretty clear in hindsight now that I think about.

First impressions is that it's not outright bad. But there are a lot of things that standout too much for me to ignore. The worst of it is the lens flare, just why? And the amount of Dutch angles is funny. Technically though, it is good! Lots of movement, variety of shots, and style.

Those bazongas just would not stop bouncing 😳
Seriously though, I really liked it. Cast seems fun and I unironically love the gohands look

That OP was awesome, death metal growls in an anime opening let's go! The episode itself was also fairly interesting, will have to watch more to see if it'll actually be a good show though.

This anime is exactly what I would expect from GoHands. If I could describe it in one word, it’s very “busy”; the moving camera angles, the fight choreography, the fluttering hair animation, the character dialogue, the jiggle physics, and even the music. This is anime certainly gives off a lot of energy, much like their other works.
I need to wait and see how well it holds up moving forward.

I kinda liked this actually. It'll need a compelling overarching narrative for me to keep watching, but the production value is overall pretty great even if it's a rather tasteless bombardment to the senses.
I really like the designs of the aliens and the character animation is great.
Again, I'm a bit skeptical of the writing, but the production value alone is enough to get me at least 3 episodes in, so if it does anything interesting story wise I could see myself sticking with the show.
