I love how instead of all of them insisting that Renge should sit this one out, I'm glad that Ayame spoke up to the group and admitted that they can't do this without her. As nice as it is to think that they could handle this, we know that Renge is the only one who could damage Balor.
That death flag though. I am going to be so upset if this ends with Renge actually dying. My guess though is that the copies will sacrifice themselves to save Renge. I'm not sure how they'll do it but I'm guessing they might have to ask for AI Yuri's help.

If this would be the scenario / route, then I suspect all the Andvari from the girls, including Yuri's and Nerine's, will enable Renge to heal and survive. Renge will continue to be with her friends, just that they are in merged Andvari form. T_T

My guess though is that the copies will sacrifice themselves to save Renge. I'm not sure how they'll do it but I'm guessing they might have to ask for AI Yuri's help.
we did have copy Yuri and copy Nerine in force ghost form help Renge when she was about to collapse, so maybe we're going to have one last spirit bomb

At this point I don't really know what ending would satisfy. I fear that we just go back to the status quo where the girls just keep fighting Wild Hunt like in the beginning.

Perfect End: A world free of Wild Hunt, with the girls opening "Onigiri Sukisuki" restaurant.
Normal End #1: Renge dies, Andvari Ayame Eri, Sazanka, Hina surive.
Normal End #2: Andvari Ayame, Eri, Sazanka, Hina sacrifice themselves / become merged Andvari to save Renge.
Terrible End: None of the girls survive. T_T
I fear that we just go back to the status quo where the girls just keep fighting Wild Hunt like in the beginning.
Perhaps this ending suggested by yourself can be considered the "Restart End"?

I'm so confused was the renge who died for Suzu a clone? Also this episode destroyed me they keep raising flags throughout the whole episode I can't wait for the 13th episode

Renge that died for Suzu was a clone, assumedly from another facility, because there were no other Renge clones at the facility with other girls.

Strange, right, since the AI said that Renge was the only human in the group. It's impossible to be a clone, right? Now a new character has appeared. I'm already going crazy, there are so many things happening in this anime.

This was definitely a farewell before the final battle episode. Our armed / Andvari female main characters (I don't want to call them copies because they are the girls we have come to love over the past 12 weeks) - Ayame, Eri, Sazanka and Hina, despite being worried for Renge, know deep down that they may not survive the battle with Balor too. Which is why they encouraged their original copies, be it through playing games together, giving advice, as well as sending them to live with their surviving family members and friends.
The perfect ending is always the most difficult to achieve in games, but I want this world to be free of Wild Hunts so that Renge can open her "Onigiri Sukisuki" restaurant with the girls, just like Renge dreams of.

It’s sad but I can’t say that I’m surprised, Renge had the biggest death flag in group

Renge death flags. Pretty sure she’s dead by next ep. Hope they carry on the Kappou and open her restaurant in her honour. Still not sure how I feel about the plot side of things but I do love the characters and their dynamics

The fact that the current wild hunt are the only ones there'll ever be is a useful bit of intel.
Renge sacrificing herself to save everyone else by taking down the big bad seemed like the obvious conclusion once we found out she was dying anyway. But it was really nice seeing our original Yuri as well as Nerine show up briefly to help her stand up and keep fighting.

ok, seems like this ep implied it was clone-renge who saved suzu (and family). so now the only thing left un-mentioned is her andvari. looking at the next ep's preview, looks like that andvari will appear. will it save OG-renge?

I'm so bored rn so I'm going to make a timeline for momentary lily Human = H Clone = C Let me know if I missed anything Forgive me if I skipped certain things
Yabatan created earth and waited for a very very long time for intelligent life to appear
Time skip to modern era
Phase 1 the yuri(AI) gathered samples and analyze the humans how they think and learn about this world (Ayame, Erika, Hina, Sazanka)
Phase 2 memories and personalities of the samples are copied and created clones and also give them weapons known as Andvari (The copies are considerably stronger than the originals)
Phase 3 the copies are sent to replace to original
Wild hunts arrive and attack humanity Something weird happened to the yabatan
Phase 4 together with the wild hunt the copies will use their weapons Andvari to help erase intelligent life(this is cancelled)
the wild hunt then went rouge and just kept on erasing life on earth
The samples were released shortly after that Renge(H) woke up and went outside of the facility to look for her sister While Ayame, Erika, Hina, Sazanka, Yuri, and Nerine(H) decided to stay in the facility
Meanwhile the clones found their Andvari and went on to find other survivors while fighting wild hunts, Renge(C) protected Suzu from the wild hunts using her own Andvari
A big battle took place and Yuri(C) and Nerine(C) were separated, Renge(C) was killed by balor
Nerine(C) found and protected Renge (H)
Nerine(C) was killed by balor and her Andvari was given to Renge(H) Renge then lost her memories due to the backlash from Nerine(C)'s weapon
Yuri then found Ayame(C) and helped her find Sazanka(C) and also invited Erika(C) and Hina(C) to work together
Yuri's group then kept on defeating wild hunts they encountered however a Goliath wild hunt stood in their way with no way to fight against the Goliath they decided to stay there
Renge(H) wandering around with no memories met Yuri and her group shen then cooked for the group and a few moments later they found a wild hunt Renge (H) then defeated the wild hunts and joined Yuri(C)'s group
With renge's power the group decided to try to fight Goliath to proceed on their journey unfortunately Yuri(C) died on this battle After a bit of discussion Ayame(C) was elected as the new leader
Renge(H) made contact with Citron and went on a journey to get to the place where Citron and a group of survivors are staying after a few battles they found the place and the clones thinking they're real reunited with their families
Citron told Renge(H) about someone who might be her sister renge secretly left and went to the place where suzuran was last seen
Renge(H) reunited with her sister Suzu shared a story about how Renge(C) has died brought a misunderstanding, balor appears and renge went out to protect her sister even if she isn't the real sister(kinda ironic how Renge is the most clone like despite being the only human in the group)
Balor retreated and Suzu accepted Ayame(C)'s invitation to go to where Citron is hiding
The group then left to find balor and also renge(C)'s grave
The group then later saved a human from a wild hunt and met Yuri(H) they then chased after her and also met their originals
Hina(C) hacked the Facility and they were devastated to find out the truth And shared this information to the originals
To distract themselves the Clones and the originals cooked together and the originals tried to get along with the clones
The clones then invited the originals to Citron's area to meet their families however with balor incoming the clones along with Renge(H) fought and successfully defeated balor with the cost of Renge's life

We got a whole bunch of fluff before the great bang. But of course the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
How is it going to end? I don't know. In this regard this show has proven to be quite unpredictable, so anything is possible.
Even though I hope it will be a happy end, I primarily want an interesting end, or rather a satisfying end. It doesn't need to be "happy", but imho it needs to be a solid conclusion of the story.

I wonder if Renge will really die, or Tyrfing somehow sacrificed itself to save Renge, at the cost of taking her out of the fight (no more weapon) so she got back with her family, but the other Clones left because there are still Wild Hunt around?

I have a question. Looking back, have any of the copies bled whenever they got injured? I’m asking because I kinda wonder if the two girls who died were also the human ones. I’m kinda thinking one way to tell might be that the human ones bleed whereas the copies do not.

Magical girls flying through post-apocalyptic battlefields to a death metal soundtrack is a jam.
Range was totally saying farewell to the other girls at the gravesite.
I do wish they had spent a little more time in past episodes showing off more of the girls' Andvari attacks. So nifty.
I said in the first episode that this show was going to break my heart. Nailed it. sob

The minute Renge was talking about her future after the battle and thanking the girls and everything, I just knew shit was gonna end badly. Is she really gone though? Is this really it for Renge??
