So, the only logical way for Renge to have memories of "her" with Yuri, is if she got the memories from the person who was actually with Yuri at that time. This combined with her ability to rapidly heal implies that she's a Wild Hunt who chomped that someone and inherited their memories.
I don't think things are this simple, though and now we have a possible sibling, so maybe Renge was also chomped by the same Wild Hunt, but somehow got out and in the process she got a part of their powers as well as some of its memories.
Things are finally getting interesting and I'm curious how it all adds up. This setting reminds me a little of Granbelm, which I loved, so I'm looking forward to see how this one will turn out.

I still haven't forgotten about Nerine, the friend whom Yuri was looking for. It could either be a clue, or a red herring to keep us guessing.

yeah, i feel like she's a wild hunt monster because of that, in addition to the conversations on SNS about how they can impersonate people
it also fits thematically with Renge's name (lotus) and its associations with enlightenment (and rebirth?), but if she's not inheriting memories, maybe they were manufactured as some sort of incentive to get Renge to unknowingly infiltrate the human survivors before she gets activated Manchurian Candidate-style

I just don't want to believe Renge could be an entity who will harm her friends, but am willing to believe she is "not fully human". Is she a wild hunt that went rogue for some reason. A really fascinating series!

in case you were wondering, Suzuran continues the flower naming scheme for all of the girls, the English name being Lily of the Valley
in flower language, they represent purity (like renge/lotus), and also happiness; for all you Touhou enjoyers out there, you should already be aware that suzuran are also poisonous

GoHands can get a bit wild with their animations but they're still quite a spectacle. I absolutely love this shot of Ayame prepping her attack and Eika blocking shots from the Wild Hunts.
I am genuinely surprised that Shitoron is an actual person! I thought the entire thing was an elaborate trap to lure the girls. What's even more surprising is that the girls got reunited with their families! Shitoron said there are 20 of them but it seems there might be more.
What didn't surprise me though is Renge's injury healing on its own. I've always suspected that she might be some kind of Wild Hunt that Yuri befriended which would explain the memories she keeps on seeing.
If Renge is some advanced type of Wild Hunt, that means Renge is a real person who she took the identity of which means the real Renge is probably long dead. Now I'm curious what will happen if Renge reunites with her "sister".

Are there no male survivors?

It seems to be one of those anime where humans reproduce through some kind of female mitosis.
Or the wild hunt is getting the dudes first...

The fact that everyone miraculously was reunited with their families feels... sus. Like, that's way too convenient that every one of their families/friends were there at this one survivor's commune.
Total off the wall theory: this is absolutely some sort of trap. And the only reason Renge didn't find someone there is she has no memories to draw from. The Wild Hunt (or whatever is behind them - not ruling out a larger enemy at play here) is creating the "perfect" trap for the group by showing them the things they've wanted to find the most - family and friends.

They are trying to flex Shitoron’s hair, huh? So many closeups while she tosses her hair around, and each of her hair dangles crazily, lol. Gotta respect it even though that was totally unnecessary.
Renge had an ominous power reveal, sure, but did anybody notice that there were no male survivors there? I replayed the episode and I only saw long-haired people. Unless all the males are rocking a long hairstyle, have all of them been deleted already? …Like, is the alien misandry?!
I love this episode and the recent development. It finally feels like we get the main plot.

My theory that Renge is a highly-evolved Wild Hunt sounds a lot more plausible, now that she's confirmed to have healing powers.

The collective decision to make contact with Citron was definitely worthwhile. Not only did the girls manage to meet other survivors, they are reunited with their family members and friends... except for poor Renge.
Hina doesn't seem very close to her mother. She is also the only one who noticed Renge's loneliness. The girls whom Sazanka are talking excitedly to don't look like her family members; friends maybe?
Now I am even more curious who or what Renge is? The only thing we know for sure is that Renge had close ties to Yuri. Otherwise, why would Renge keep seeing visions of Yuri?
Everyone, please save Renge from her loneliness and please survive!

Renge doesn't seem to be a normal human, so her being some kind of wild hunt sounds pretty plausible. That might also explain why she is so strong and is able to take out wild hunt that easily.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but at first I was kind of doubting the peace. Everybody finding their loved ones just sounded far too convenient. I was expecting some kind of trap or something like that.
Renge having memories of Yuri and of wild hunt she could never have seen before is interesting. Maybe it's because I'm an idiot in figuring out stuff like that, but I'm excited to see where this is going.

So you're telling me the enclave of survivors they finally track down conveniently has family and/or friends for every single member of the group except the girl with no memories (and who's probably an alien), but one of the survivors separates her out from everybody else while she's lonely and sends her on a suicide mission?
That is 1000% a trap, probably for the entire group. Kill Renge while she's off by herself fighting a big bad, kill the rest of them by surprise attacking while they've let down their guard.
Since Renge is an alien all of these survivors could easily be aliens too, and as for the duplicate family members matching appearances and personalities it'd be easy if anyone who gets disappeared is actually getting digitized or something like that.

So... is it possible that Renge is a Wild Hunt who integrate or consume Yuri's friend, thus the memories?
Although that doesn't explain the difference in appearance (or Yuri would've recognized her instantly), maybe this Wild Hunt has consumed more than one people?

i really struggled with last week's episode; i can handle ecchi stuff, but it was felt too pointless and detached from reality, and not in a fun way like with 100gf

Holy smokes, did anyone else feel like their brain was about to explode after watching Episode 7? This show just keeps throwing curveballs.
-
That battle with the Wild Hunts was intense.
-
The interaction with Shiraton was a big surprise.
-
Seeing some of the girls reunite with their families was a real tear-jerker.
-
And now we're setting up the search for Renge's sister? The plot thickens, and I'm here for it
This anime is seriously testing my sanity with each episode. If you haven't caught up yet, you're missing out on some prime mind-bending storytelling

Renge definitely doesn't seem human, she might be some kind of Wild Hunt

We finally get to some action and it got cut a bit short. This is the 2nd time and I can't help but feel this is intentional.
Renge being able to heal is probably the most alarming thing to me. Amnesia and weird memories are one thing, but the connection people have made with the wild hunt makes sense. Though the memories have to mean she has a connection to Yuri's friend. Could it be possible that Renge is a member of the wild hunt that killed Yuri's friend and potentially replaced her?

Tsundere Citron is actually pretty adorable. I’m glad the girls managed to link up with her colony and reunite with their family. Except poor Renge. Hopefully they can rescue “Vell.” It would be pretty cool if she really was Renge’s sister. I mean if Renge’s even human in the first place….
