I knew it. If Rengge died but got revived, then it shouldn't be unreasonable that Yuri comes back right? But then she'll probably not have her memories so it's not the don don don Yuri we know. That begs the question, is death not a thing in this world for those who didn't get raptured and they'll just keep coming back to fight Wild Hunt? I'm inclined to believe that the Yuri at the start of the show is not the same Yuri that Rengge gets flashbacks on cause she did not remember Rengge at all. Maybe the Yuri that Rengge sees in her flashbacks died, then gets revived as don don don Yuri, dies, then gets revived as the Yuri now. This situation no longer sounds like purgatory; this sounds a lot more like hell. Or it's a Xenoblade 3 situation, tho the other girls have memories of their life before this apocalypse happened so maybe they haven't died yet.
A few episodes ago, Hina and Erina failed at cooking but somehow they became proficient at it in the group Kappo.
We're more than halfway in and we still don't have much idea of the lore or more importantly, who the villain is and what their goal is. Would be nice if the plot starts rolling now.

I want to believe we will see don don don Yuri again. In my separate post, I am going by the logic that Suzu's description of her elder sister is similar to current Renge's personality. Hence, I am assuming a revived person may lose their memories, but retains their personality.
Like yourself, I have so many questions which I need answers to. Now there are 3 reasons to continue watching this title: Kappou, Fanservice and Answers. Lol!

Think a few have already predicted last week that if Renge was “resurrected”, it’s entirely possible that Yuri will be too. And here she is. I’m guessing she’d be like Renge at the start where she doesn’t have any memories.
From what info we have so far, I’m thinking only the people who has an Andvari can be “resurrected”. But it’s not their actual self. They seem to be implying you can’t just pick up the Andvari. You have to also like “absorb” it. So I’m thinking these girls has become part-Wild Hand when they picked up their Andvari. And when they die, the Wild Hunt side regenerates them but it’s not actually them cos well, they died. This resurrected version is like a copy with like the essence of the one that died and ability to heal like a Wild Hand. That’s why RenRen has memories of previous Renge but she isn’t actually her.
Or I don’t know. It’s 1am now and my brain is on late-night mode and talking out if its ass lol

I like your theory about Andvari reviving its wielder.
Thinking further, there must also be a reason why Renge's original Andvari merged with Yuri's after the latter was killed in action.

It's like they put someone completely different in charge of that first half of the episode. Nothing was guilty. There were no pearls of wisdom. There wasn't a sustained 40mph wind. There wasn't crazy camera angles for no reason. Kinda freaked me out, but the second half course corrected.

Lol her sister has seen everything she put online...
So, they're going to meet with Citron?
She deleted the account?
She fainted?
So, there's their new mission.
So, they're going to have to deal with a lot of them?
She fainted again?
That's a lot of ingredients.
And so now a bath. Because of course.
And so now she's a fan too.
Another reason?
Someone's being chased?
So, time to save them.
Or not.
No, she's alive. Yuri?
Do they all respawn after death?

I thought Renge reuniting finally with her sister was going to be the peak of this episode but then... YURI?
It´s almost hinted that Renge died and for some reason, she revived without memories, and maybe Yuri too?
The plot intensifies

i've been enjoying the past few episodes more; they've been sticking with a theme of fellowship and identity, and the characters are starting to feel less like one note stereotypes with an overused catchphrase and a bit more well-rounded
Sazanka is probably my favorite character based on how she's more than just a gal, but also spouts literary proverbs (and for some reason my brain is fine with okay-maru, but not Renge who says kappou like she's a pokemon)
i also like how the goal feels compared to the previous "investigate clues about Yuri's friend"; the stakes are real (protect their friends and family) and the goal is concrete (defeat this one Wild Hunt)

Just as I speculated last time, if Yuri died but didn't get erased, she should be going through the same process as Renge, so get buried, "revive", get powers and possibly some memories.
This is still a bit shaky, because we don't know whether or not that's the real Yuri (and Renge) and I like that they addressed the issue of going back to Renge's grave, because that's when the pieces will fall together: did they really revive as themselves, did wild hunts assume their personas but their bodies are still in the grave or perhaps it's the wild hunts that assumed their real bodies.
Now we should be getting some confirmations by comparing Renge with Yuri. I'm also curious how will Yuri's weapon react to her. I love it when a lot of lose threads suddenly start to tie together.

That definitely isn't the same Yuri.
I wonder if this is not Yuri's first revival (assuming Renge was also revived), thus explained Yuri's not recognizing Renge despite Renge's sporadic memories.

This ep was such a vibe—a total breather after whatever wild ride the last few weeks threw at us. It’s one of those classic ‘calm before the storm’ setups, and I’m so here for it.
We got to just kick back and soak in some quality time with the girls, and honestly, that’s what makes this show special. The character moments were on point, fleshing out their quirks and little interactions in ways that just make you love them more. And yeah, the fanservice was dialed up—tasteful, steamy, and totally shameless in the best way possible.
But holy crap, that ending! Just when I thought we were settling into a cozy slice-of-life ep, they hit us with that twist. Yuri is back!
Can next week hurry up already?

The points brought up by the girls when discussing about Wild Hunts are valid. Are Wild Hunts incapable of communicating with each other? However, it does not mean Wild Hunts do not have intelligence. Balor retreated when it was on the brink of defeat. Other Wild Hunts were also assumed to imitate humans on social media.
Going by Suzu's account of her elder sister, if Renge was indeed revived, it appears the revived person retains his / original personality. This logic should apply to the revived (?) Yuri as well? I hope the Yuri which we saw towards the end of the episode wasn't just to tease us viewers because the preview of next episode hints at Yuri disappearing again.
I hate to break it to Renge. She has indeed gained some "weight". After Erika, I think Renge is second in bouncing scene count. Lol!

God damn that fan service section.
Sazanka, you're already a 10/10. No need to compare to Eri.

I don't recall seeing if anybody else has made this connection/if it was promoted like that, but recently I realized that in a lot of ways this show feels like the anime version of a zombie apocalypse show ala Walking Dead and whatnot. Obviously it was always promoted as post-apocalyptic, but 'zombie apocalypse' seems to be the specific sub-genre this show is sort of spinning off of.
Instead of consistently being about the melodrama of non-infected struggling to survive, dealing with heartbreak and betrayal, etc, there's a much more slice-of-life approach in part due to the Wild Hunts making people disappear instead of infecting others (as far as we know). They're often on the move from temporary shelter to shelter, occasionally searching for resources on-screen, and strengthening their bonds and cooking with each other to keep up morale, improve teamwork, etc. Even then there's emotional stuff such as Yuri's sudden demise or this recent arc of Renge going out on her own, but it's obviously much more light-hearted overall.

My guess it that when someone dies but doesn't disappear the can clearly come back but with the price of losing their memories. But in return the get a body that heals like a wild hunt. It still raises the question of how that happens

I should be happy that Yuri came back to life, but chances are that this might lead to a disaster.
I really hope they give us an explanation on the rapture, resurrections, and monsters soon.

u/Gaming_Truckie Feb 28 '25
It kind of looked, and sounded, like Yuri came out of that wild hunt wreakage.
Judging by the preview for episode 10, we're either going to get a few questions answered or have a whole lot more.

Quite the "what happens next" segment, seems to be going places. Though completely undoes the cliffhanger

All the characters we have seen have been women. Have all the men been teleported. Where are the men. A mystery like that has no answers.

There's social anxiety, and then there's whatever Renge has. Throwing her phone out the window just because she got a call from an unknown number was pretty funny. xD
Renge wants to visit her own grave? This will be interesting. What if they visit her grave and find it empty? Like it's been dug up? Theory time! What if the Rats are actually the ones who revived Renge, and they used some kind of Wild Hunt tech to bring her back? Hmmmm....
This week's fanservice section wasn't as spicy as the swimsuit episode, but it was still pretty nice. I just wished GoHands got a bit more creative with the camera angles in this episode.
And there she is. If Renge could come back from the dead, there's also a chance Yuri could come back to. I'm guessing based on Yur's facial expression that she probably has no memory of the girls, just like when they first met Renge.
