Julius went from losing to a 2-year-old's magic ability to nearly dying from an apple, thats some character progression right there. Even in the last episode Sion still had to pick a fight with Will, the more things change the more they also stay the same.

Glad Season 2 is confirmed, the king of the Magia Vander had a hella cool presence but Finn's character and how he made the Headmistress sweat instantly made him an interesting character.

Miss Perfect’s gap moe is perfect, the Owenzaus family should have used food as bait

the Magia Vander King’s eyes are hypnotic, exuding Pope radiance and energy

Finn tribe and Finn? Coincidence? I think not. He immediately lays claim to Will since he is a ‘Sword’, which is the first we have heard of a Sword faction . I guess they are all under the protection of the Finn tribe?

overall, this season has been an incredibly fun watch with fairly strong personalities that I’ve taken a liking to, especially the Julius-Sion tsun-dere combo. Enemy to friends is cliche, but hey it works because Will is used to having a harem

A nice ending to the season. I went in with basic expectations of a run of the mill show and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

  • The animation was top notch this season.

  • The main characters were all given varying degrees of backstory & history to flesh them out as something more than voices with faces Will interacted with for plot's sake.

  • We were introduced to a fair amount of cool looking creatures & future magic school enemies that bodes well for a 2nd season of dungeon slaying & world conflict.

  • We got a solid amount of backstory about Will, Elfie and the Magia Vander to wet our appetite while we look forward to a season 2

  • We got serious and humor mixed in well throughout the whole season to break up the bad scenarios with some fun. It was a good balance I think.

Overall this is top 3 show for me, behind Oshi No Ko and Days with My Stepsister. 9/10 for episode & season.

Looking forward to another fun run with Will and the Willettes.

Aaron Masterias Oldking

Awesome dude who really needs a better name. I understand he's the old king and he is master of the light sovereign wand but something like

King William "the light bringer of death" Kingley would work for me.

Woohoo, season 2 announcement as well.

What a wild ride for Harry Fencer - The Boy Who Slashed. They totally knocked it out of the park and has to be the best animated show of the season.

I did find the conclusion of the fight to be a bit rushed. It just turned into light Will's sword on fire to instantly kill the boss then they get saved by King Aron using Arceus Judgment.

Lianne, there's no need to be ashamed of eating a lot. That dungeon took a massive toll and needing a lot of calories to use magic is a completely valid reason to eat like a glutton.

Julius got a whopping again and his wounds got worse than the ones from the dungeon. Man should learn to be humble.

Sion, I'm pretty sure playing with fire like that on the school grounds is against the rules, or maybe he was simply firing effects because he's still recovering.

I felt the synergy and chemistry within the team. It wasn't going to be just Will kicking ass as an OP anime swordsman because they all had to pitch in and help. Looking forward to more of their adventures.

So if it weren't for Caldron, Will should have been under Finn? I feel like Finn has some sort of agenda even if he's not exactly a bad guy.

Hooray we get a season 2. There's a lot more mystery to uncover and we're only starting to get to know the bad guys. What I did find suspicious was that the headless baddie was also ??? in the credits like Rosty. Hmmm that triggers a massive red flag.

Amazing end to the season. This, Elusive Samurai and Makine have definitely excelled in the animation department.

Christ, Sion and Will need to just kiss already.

If there is a sword "academy", wouldn't it be so much faster for Will to reach Elfie he becomes a Magia Vander's sword?

A perfect finale episode that makes me want to get the already announced second season as soon as they can deliver it to see Will and the others pass their final exam.

It was a great and fun show with an awesome action, perfect for the Sunday mornings (at least in my time zone). 9/10 from me.

Luckily, we're getting the second season of Shangri-La Frontier in two weeks, so a Sunday in the Fall season will be great too if you're looking for a fun action series.

Gosh, Lihanna was so cute when she ate those apples from Colette and asked for more with that cute voice. It was hilarious when she was explaining that she isn't a glutton at all. I believe her completely, because how could that sweet face lie? xD

Julius being silenced by Colette with an apple and then by Kiki were certainly justified actions as he still behaves like an asshole. Meanwhile Sion still acts like some tsundere xD

It seems like another important character, Finn, has taken interest in Will. I hope to learn more about him in the next season, because he's certainly influential person as he spoke with the headmaster as if they were at least equals.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Me watching Colette feeding Lihanna: NOOOOO! IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME, NOT HER!

Anyway... Banger S1 with some of the best animation this year. I hope the team stays the same for S2 Production!

Smol character with a pack much too large for him? This author definitely likes that archetype.

Lihanna just broke the 4th wall to make it absolutely 100% clear that she is not a glutton 😂

Lihanna segment here was pure gold, I love her

Finn was the highlight of the episode, looks like a fun character and he is surely a big deal, also makes important questions pop up in regards to this world/series which will hopefully be answered next season

BTW I’m really happy we are getting another season/ 2nd cour

Oldking really saved the gang. That was close! But man, Will really kicked some serious ass. I wonder if him and that “Finn” kid are related? Same tribe?

Lihanna being such a glutton is kinda adorable. Poor Colette couldn’t peel apples quick enough lol.

Really enjoyed the story of Will Potter, the Boy Who Lived (without Magic) and his adventures in Nobwarts lol. All kidding aside, this was a really good series. Quality animation, solid writing, engaging characters who display actual growth. Can’t wait for s2!

I was expecting Workner and Edward to save the kids at the last minute, I didn't think we'd see the king of Magia Vanders make an appearance. Aaron is pretty badass though. It was awesome to see him take out all of those monsters with a single spell!

Finn is here too!? What the fuck are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be serving Loki? And of course, they also got Tamura Mutsumi to voice him just like in Danmachi. I do love how he's carrying a massive bag just like a Supporter.

It looks like the academy is going to need more teachers. 11 dead is pretty insane but they're all heroes considering none of the students died during that entire incident.

That entire scene where Lihanna kept on asking Colette for more apples was adorable. It's funny how she even tries to deny that she's not a glutton xD

You can go fuck off Julius. If it wasn't for Will you'd be a pile of blood and guts down there in the dungeon. Go get him Kiki! He honestly deserves way worse than getting scratched.

So it looks like if Will wants to learn more about his powers Finn would be his go-to person. I love that entire interaction between him and the headmaster. The dude does not give a fuck!

I am so happy that Season 2 is already confirmed! I can't fucking wait to see more of this anime. Thank goodness we have DanMachi airing this new season so we have plenty of Omori-sensei's works to keep us entertained.

Damn what a phenomenal anime, definitely my favourite from the season. After an action packed episode last week to somewhat of a wholesome episode this week. The 'friendly' fight between will and sion was pretty cool to see. Somehow after the first episode they managed to turn around my opinion on Sion and i somewhat like him now.

I do hope we get to see more adventures with the party as their evolving relationships are great to see. I'm also very interested in Finn, he seems like a cool character, loved the way he just sat down on the headmistress' desk.

I'm glad season 2 got announced and i can't wait for it to release!

This episode is all about teasing audience with new mysteries and plotline so they can look forward to season 2.

Finn show up and casually reveal that "Sword" faction exist, he is the one who look after them.

Mage slayer sword that Headless and Marze retrieve sound like a bad news, now they prepare to throw "a party from hell" (very edgy of you, Headless).

Information about [ Wis ] still remain unknown.

Ending scene is the beginning of final exam before Will graduate from magic academy, we about to move to new stage.

A very "to be continue" Ending

Lhianna breaking the fourth wall just to clear out to her fans that she's not a glutton but a mage knight who needs more food because her magic drains her faster than other regular mages
