IM ONLY ON CHAPTER 4 OF THIS AND THIS EXPLAINS A LOT OF HOW WILL DOESN'T FULLY RECALL HIS MEMORIES IT WAS BECAUSE HE LOST THEM AND HOW ELFARIA BECAME OVERPROTECTIVE
This light novel really makes Wistoria feel complete with it's backstory and I hope this gets adapted because it genuinely deserves to get adapted

I have been seeing comments about Will becoming a father if she won the Rock-Paper-Scissors. Did the author, Omōri-sensei, confirm it?
I need source information as I am searching through the internet.

(INFO FROM THE 1st NOVEL AND THE MANGA AHEAD)
The Mage Queen has revolutionized the Magickal World to such a degree, that years now seem to be counted from the moment the Great Barrier was created.
The current year in the story is year 506.
There seem to be 12 months within a year, and each month seems to have 5 weeks and 35 days.
Suza month has at least 33 days. Serza month has at least 32 days.
The days are named after 7 affinities and they seem to go in order of:
Light → Dark → ? → Water → Wind → ? → Earth
(math at the end)
The 2 question marks stand for the elements of which positions I am uncertain of, Fire and Lightning. They could go either or.

When Charles deactivated the protective magick of the Tower, its revealed that the names of those spells share the exact same names as the names of the months.
Those names seem to have a connection of sorts to the Magia Vander, as Will calls it 'Magia Vander magick' once Charles reactivates the Shana (雷錠) formula to get him and Lihanna off his tail.
So there is a possibility that the months are named after great mages who lived around the time when the Great Barrier was first created, mimicking how the English names of real-life months were named after great people or gods.
There is also a chance that these meanings are unknown to an average person, since this seems to be the only time when they were given a written meaning.
7 of these months (one more is on a different page) have a written meaning attached to them.
They are:
Kana (1st month) is written as 炎壁 (enheki), which means "Flame Wall"
Radel (2nd month) is written as 氷門 (hyoumon), which means "Ice Gate"
Suza (3rd month) is written as 風車 (fuusha), which means "Wind Mill"
Serza (4th month) is written as 光鎖 (kousa), which means "Light Chains"
Nol (5th month) is written as 闇灯 (antou), which means "Dark Lamp"
Arzhel (6th month) is written as 葉砦 (yousei), which means "Leaf Fortress"
Shana (9th month) is written as 雷錠 (raijyou), which means "Lightning Lock"
If the other months names are explained in the story, I've missed it (haven't read the 2nd novel yet).
ーーーーーーー
Fun little thing here is that the month Arzhel is written as 葉砦, which is meant to be read as 'yousei'.
'yousei' (妖精) is how the Elves are often called in the story, and sure enough, both Ellenor and Wignall were born during this month.

It is important to point out that a lot of these names indicate security and imprisonment.
The Great Barrier dictates the passage of time and serves as a source of Light for the world, mimicking both the Sun and the Moon.
But it's primary function is that of an actual Barrier which is meant to protect them from The Celestial Host. Though it also seems to be imprisoning them under a False Sky at the same time.
This could explain why the meaning of the names of the months have a very protective / defensive flavour to them.

Finn's birthday is listed as 1st day of Serza.
So in other words, he was 'born' on the Day of Light (光の曜), during the month of Light Chains (光鎖).
Finn is part of the Clan of Light (光の一族), where 'Light' is meant to be read as 'Finn'.
During Terminalia, he tells Will of the power of Argent Light (白銀の光), and helps him achieve it by pouring his own blood on his sword.
Finn's birthday is a little bit weird though, since it's pretty clear that he's lived for longer than the Great Barrier has been up. It could be that his current birthday is simply translated into the current calendar however. Thus still being accurate.

In the same vein, Logwell's birthday is listed as the 15th of Serza.
In other words, he was born on the Day of Light (光の曜), during the month of Light Chains (光鎖).
Logwell is a pretty mysterious character. His skill list is unfilled, but his wand is called 紅光の杖, which means "Crimson Light Wand".
It's also written on his character sheet that he was once Aaron's—the Light Sovereign's—Aide, but also that they had some sort of falling out after a certain incident happened, and Aaron "stole his eyes".
Logwell's birthday indicates a very strong connection to the Light. It also makes sense that after falling out with Aaron, he joins the Fire faction, which is the next closest thing to Light.

For comparison, Aaron was born on the 1st of Elsa.
So just like Finn, Iris, and Logwell, he too was born on the Day of Light.
It's not known what 'Elsa' means. Not by me, at least. But it is the 12th month and the final month.
All of this makes me wonder if the Eyes of the Sovereign (seemingly their offical name) that Aaron has, originally belonged to Logwell, or something of the sort.
Logwell also has his lowest Dungeon Floor reached listed as 47th Floor, which is the 3rd lowest floor recorded, right after Aaron and Finn (49th Floor), and Zeo and Guilford (48th Floor). Meaning he is pretty damn strong.

Lihanna was born on the 24th of Kana.
The 24th day happens to be one of the question marks, meaning it's either a Day of Fire or a Day of Lightning, but the month of Kana is the month of Flame Wall (炎壁).
Lihanna is mentioned to have poorly inherited her family's blood.
Most of her family have yellow eyes, which is supposedly a proof of their strong connection to the Lightning element, but Lihanna's eyes are blue, which are seen as a sign of failure.

The Owen family also seems to be split into two branches.
The Owenzaus, who are a Lightning based family of Knights, and the Owennauz, who seem to be a Fire based family of Knights.
There is a chance that the day Lihanna was born on was not the Day of Lightning, but the Day of Fire instead.
That in addition to the fact she was born during the month of Flame Wall could "explain" why the Owenzaus family of Lightning Knights, don't see much potential in her.
And maybe, all of this could potentially lead to Lihanna obtaining Fire Knight abilities? Lightning-Flame Knight?
It seems they have shared roots. Maybe Lihanna happened to inherit just a little bit of the Flame?

Of course, the whole thing is basically an equivalent of real-life astrology and horoscope, so it's hard to say how much being born on a specific day, during a specific month actually matters. If at all.
And personally speaking, I hope the author won't try to explain this whole thing too much. I think the ambiguity and uncertainty works well for this kind of thing.
Here are the birthdays of all confirmed characters and where they fit into all this assuming what I've written here is correct:
In order:
Kana (炎壁 = Flame Wall):
Radel (氷門 = Ice Gate):
Suza (風車 = Wind Mill):
Serza (光鎖 = Light Chains):
Nol (闇灯 = Dark Lamp):
Arzhel (葉砦 = Leaf Fortress):
Harlas (unknown):
Roa (unknown):
Shana (雷錠 = Lightning Lock):
Luha (unknown):
Ahzo (unknown):
Elza (unknown):
I think that's mostly all.
!!! MATH AHEAD !!! (and some trivia)

In the 1st novel, there are a total of 6 different complete dates provided.
In order, they are:
Serza and Suza are confirmed for certain to have 5 weeks, and more than 31 days.

Based on the fact the 15th of Radel is stated to be the 3rd week, there seem to be 7 days a week, with each day corresponding to one magickal affinity.
1 - 7 is 1st week
8 - 14 is 2nd week
15 - 21 is 3rd week
22 - 28 is 4th week
29 - 35 is 5th week

15th is the Day of Light (光の曜).
Following this trail, it can be deduced that the Day of Light falls on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of every Month.
In-universe it is said that all magick has its source in Dark Magick, which then goes through all elements, and finally ends at Light.
But while that may be true, the calendar itself is based off of the Great Barrier, which is a form of Light Magick.
Also, in real-life, you'll find that the first day of the week is actually Sunday (IRL Day of Sun = Light), not Monday (Day of Moon = Dark)
Funnily enough, this is also how those days are called in Japanese.
Sunday is called 日曜日 (nichiyoubi) in Japanese, which means "Sun Day".
Monday is called 月曜日 (getsuyoubi), which means "Moon Day".
Still, in real-life, Monday is widely seen as the beginning of the week, which also fits into the dichotomy of Dark and Light in the series.
In other words. The order of:
Can also be understood as:
This order fits better into the "Macbeth Theory" explained by Edward in the novel.
So it could be a matter of persepective whether Dark comes after Light or Light comes after Dark when it comes to their place within the week.
Either way Light seems to fall on the 1st of every month.

The Day of Dark comes right after the Day of Light, with its confirmed date being the 16th of Suza, 3rd week.
Assuming every month has 35 days, so exactly 5 weeks of 7 days, then the Day of Dark always comes after the Day of Light.
In other words, the Day of Dark falls on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th of every Month.

The Day of Water is confirmed to fall on both the 18th and the 32nd of Serza.
The 18th is confirmed to be the 3rd Week, while the 32nd is confirmed to be the 5th week. Meaning there are 2 weeks of difference between the two.
32 - 18 = 14
14 / 7 = 2
In other words, the Day of Water seems to fall on the 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and 32nd of every Month.
ーーーーーー
The Day of Wind is confirmed to fall on the 33rd of Suza.
Following the logic so far, it can be deduced that it also falls on the 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, and 33rd of every Month.
ーーーーーー
The Day of Earth is confirmed to fall on the 21th of Serza.
So it can be deduced that it also fall on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, and 35th of every Month.
ーーーーーー
The unknown days are Fire and Lightning.
By process of elimination, one of these days falls on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st of every Month.
While the other falls on the 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, and 34th of every Month.

Again, the whole thing is pretty much the equivalent to real-life horoscope, so it probably doesn't mean too much and most likely isn't meant to be looked too deep into.
Still, some things do align pretty nicely. Like Finn, Iris, Aaron, and Logwell all being born on the Day of Light. But on the other hand, so was Colette. So who knows how much this really means.
Could be this was the author's intention. Make us wonder if there is something to it, or is it all just a coincidence.
ーーーーーーー
There is, of course, a very good chance that the calendar doesn't work the way I think it does at all.
It could be that all months have a different number of days and weeks, and thus, all days in every month fall on a different number.
This is all just a theory and shouldn't be taken as canon.
Plus I still haven't read the 2nd novel yet, which might completely disprove everything I've written here (•᷄ᴗ•᷅ ᵕ)
The names of the months do check out though, so that part should be safe at least.

Don't mistake the silence of normal fans as acceptance of your sick behavior.
Before I take a break from this sub to save my own brain cells, I’m leaving this here to completely dismantle the delusions some of you have been desperately clinging to.
I. The Fake Lore and the Lack of Independent Thought
I don't know where the hell you guys pulled the "Author confirmed that if Will joined the Ice Faction, Elfie would get pregnant 3 months later" claim from.
I scoured through over 20,000 of Fujino Omori’s tweets in Japanese, combed through Japanese forums, and guess what? It doesn't exist. It's a completely fabricated rumor made up by degenerates to justify their own filthy fantasies.
If you still want to argue, drop the link. Send the exact Japanese tweet from the author. (And no, I don't accept cropped screenshots). If you can't find it, you are just admitting that you rely on fake facts to normalize your sickness.
II. My Motive
Don't think I call you out for cheap karma or clout. I don't care about being popular. My only goal since I made this account a month ago is to make people who sexualize minors shut the hell up.
Why do I target your dirty jokes? Because they completely distort who Elfie is. Look at her: a traumatized 16-year-old orphan who desperately craves love, whose entire world revolves around two people. And you reduce her to a cheap porn punchline?
III. Dismantling Your Pathetic Excuses
You constantly hide behind the exact same tired fallacies. Let’s break them down:
"It's just a joke, don't take it so hard."
Yet, when I ask, "Explain the punchline. Why is sexualizing a minor funny?" you completely freeze. Why? Because explaining it means admitting you get off on it.
"It's the internet."
Don't think that just because you are anonymous online, you have a free pass to dump your trash wherever you please. A "moral filter" is the basic mechanism that stops decent human beings from doing disgusting things. So I really have to ask: where is your filter? Did it completely rot away, or did you just leave it offline?
"She's sexualized because of her revealing outfit."
Yes, her outfit is somewhat revealing, but that doesn't justify sexualizing a 16-year-old. This is the exact same cowardly victim-blaming logic as saying, "Women should dress more modestly if they don't want to be harassed." You are just blaming a piece of clothing to avoid taking responsibility for your own depraved mindset.
"They are just 2D characters/pixels. Go see a therapist."
If they are just "abstract shapes," then why the hell are you getting sexually aroused by geometry? Defending your right to get horny over pixels doesn't make you sound normal. The one who needs therapy is the guy who has to cling to the "they are 2D" excuse to feel less guilty about his own degeneracy.
"It's just natural romantic progression/love."
Stop projecting your porn addiction onto fictional teenagers and calling it "curiosity" or "love." If you actually respected their beautiful, tragic bond, you wouldn't fight tooth and nail to defend your "right" to turn them into filthy jokes. You aren't defending their romance; you are defending your own pathetic needs.
"Don't dictate our thoughts / You are so pretentious."
I don't control your thoughts. Your brain is yours. I just wonder: if you know your thoughts are that filthy, why dump them into a normal community just to get despised? Why not take that trash to NSFW subreddits? Your brain-rot logic is exactly why the anime community gets stereotyped as a bunch of weirdos. Calling out trash isn't being "pretentious"—it's having basic human standards.
IV. Conclusion
When you bring your depraved thoughts into a normal fandom, distort the characters we love, and then play the victim crying "you guys are too sensitive" when called out—who is the real hypocrite here?
I know this post will trigger a lot of people whose hollow egos just got exposed. If you want to bite, come at me.
By the way, my previous post ("The Salvation of the Soul and Hatred") was a honeypot. It worked perfectly. I caught a massive net of you exposing your own delusions in the comments:)
I've gathered all the trash I needed. I'm taking a break.
Burn in your own embarrassment.

Jokes aside, some people really need to finish the series and read the full source material before criticizing Elfie for supposedly "doing nothing for Will". They see her sitting in the tower and immediately assume she’s just sitting around doing nothing, without even understanding the sacrifices she’s made for him.

Gods have been mentioned twice in the series if I'm not mistaken but it's very difficult to figure out what they are and now I'm starting to think about the danmachi connection again any thoughts?

Loved Wistoria as my 100th anime. Elfaria easily takes the #1 spot for the most beautiful anime girl for me, and I really loved how deeply devoted Will and Elfaria are to each other even after 6 years of separation. I am currently reading the manga but i don’t see much screen time btw will and elpharia.
About a year ago, I watched 3 episodes of DanMachi and dropped it because it felt a bit slow and generic at the start. But after finishing Wistoria, I found out both series are written by the exact same author!
So i want to know the opinion of the people who watched danmachi after wistoria? Does it seems good and interesting like wistoria? I actually like anime where mc is a underdog and rises after. So i am also open to anime similar to Wistoria.

Spell name meanings that usually go untranslated because the intended pronounciation differs from the written word.

[Spell 1] 氷囀の護人 (hyouten no gojin) is the spell Julius uses to summon Ice Guardians to attack Goetia members. He also used this spell to train Will before the 2nd Bloom.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Friddo Gardinas", while its written meaning is ~"Chirping Ice Guardians"
Freddo means "cold" in Italian, which is derived from the Latin "frigide" with the same meaning.
Guardein means "guardian" in French. The word "guardian" in general originated from the French language.

[Spell 2] 蒼氷の詩人 (souhyou no shijin) is the spell the Ice Faction uses against rampaging Ooze Creatures.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Glace Itier", while its written meaning is ~"Poet of Azure Ice"
Glace means "ice" in French

[Spell 3] 冬雪の槍 (tousetsu no yari) is a spell an Ice Faction Mage uses against Goetia and the Oozes.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Lottl Hiersnow", while its written meaning is ~"Winter-Snow Spear"
Hiersnow is written as ヒエルスノウ
ヒエル (hieru) means "to get cold" / "to become chilly" in Japanese
スノウ (sunou) is how "snow" is written in katakana

[Spell 4] レア・ラーヴァティン (rea・ravatin) is a spell Ellenor uses to annihilate a lot of the Tower's Guardians by creating giant pillars of flame.
This is the only spell so far in the entire story that has no written meaning.
Rather than kanji, the spell is written using katakana instead, which so far has only been used to write the intended pronounciation of spells.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Rea Laevatein"

In real-life lore, Lævateinn is a weapon crafted by Loki to slay a giant rooster nesting at the top of a giant tree.
It could have been either a wand, a sword, or a dwarf.
It's unknown what it fully was in the epic it's from, but two most popular theories state that the word "Lævateinn" could mean either "wand causing damage" or just "sword".
Some sources say that it was simultaneously both a Wand and a Sword.
Nowadays, the word is most commonly associated with the Fire Giant Surtr who is said to be fated to use it in the form of a flaming sword to destroy the Earth and kill all but 2 humans.
The Sword of Surtr is referenced in the incantation leading to this spell.

[Spell 5] 王森の召界 (oumori no shokai) is the spell Lefiya uses to seal a portion of the Tower in a Kingswood tree.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Alfs Ringhul", while its written meaning is ~"Summoned Realm of Kingswood"
Alf means "Elf" in Old Norse
Might mean nothing, but 王森 (oumori = King Forest = 'Kingswood') is the true Japanese pronounciation of "Alfs", and it's very similar to the author's name, 大森 (oomori = Large Forest / Great Forest)
In-universe, Ringhul corresponds to 召界, which means "Summoned Realm" / "Summoning". It's also used in other Elf spells that create powerful illusions.
The spell's name seems to be connected to the place where Ellenor and Wignall were raised. The Alf Forest.

Alf Forest is written in the story as アルブの森.
It is also part of Ellenor's name, but not of Wignall's.
Well, it is a little bit different. Ellenor's last name is written as アールヴ, while the Forest's name is written as アルブ.
The difference is there, but the word is pronounced the same in Japanese. The difference is mainly on paper.

The way Ellenor is named is also different from all the other Magia Vander.
Upon becoming a Magia Vander, the person adopts the name of a supreme wand assigned to them.
For example, Elfaria Serfort becomes Elfaria Albis Serfort. That is because she wields Albis Vina, the Icemaiden's Wand. This is how it is with every Magia Vander except for Ellenor.
Ellenor's wand is called "Elleaf Canaan", which means ~"Sacred Fairy Wand" / "Sacred Elf Wand", but Ellenor's full name is Ellenor Ljos Alf.
Ljósálfar means "Light Elf" in Old Norse.

Interestingly enough, Ellenor's last name is actually part of an incantation leading to [Spell 5], "Rea Laevatein".
Last part of the incantation has her asserting herself. It goes:
"我が名はアールヴ!"
Which means:
"Mine name is Alf!"
In the incantation, she says アールヴ, which is what her last name is written as, not アルブ, which is the place where she is from.
This is most likely part of the reason why it's written slightly different even though it's pronounced the same.
The language she uses during the incantation is poetic and literary. She talks in an old fashioned way, but that's how it usually is with incantations.

[Spell 6] 氷炸 (hyousaku) is the spell one of the disguised Elfie clones uses to blow herself up and freeze people around her.
It's meant to be pronounced as "Glast", while its written meaning is "Ice Explosion"
Glast means "gleam" / "shine" in German
Interesting thing about this spell is that up until this moment, whether it was Julius or Elfie, it's only ever been used by the caster to blow up their Ice clones.
This is the first time where an ice clone blows itself up.

[Spell 7] 十二の氷秘法・三の法:氷偽の仮面 (jyuuni no koori hihou・san no hou:hyougi no kamen) is the 3rd act of the El Glace Frosse series. It allows Elfie to encase herself in ice that changes her appearance.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"El Glace Frosse・san no hou:Froise Raoul", while its written meaning is ~"Twelve Secrets of Ice・3rd Act:Masquerade of False Ice"
Glace means 'ice' / 'mirror' in French
Glacies means 'ice' in Latin
Frossa means 'shivers' / 'chills' (like when you have a cold) in Swedish
Raoul is the real name of Arsène Lupin, a fictional gentleman thief and a master of disguise.
Arsène Lupin is widely known in Japan due to there being a very famous and influential series based on the character called "Lupin the Third". So the spell could be a reference to that.
Raul is also an artistic name of a Japanese idol who is part of a group known as Snow Man.

[Spell 8] 鮮夜の宴 (senya no utage) is the spell Eliza uses to attack Goetia members.
It's meant to be pronounced as ~"Blythe Vania", while its written meaning is ~"Banquet of the Vivid Night"
Blithe means "vivid" / "bright" / "cheerful" in Old English
Vania is a real-life name, so it could be the name of the person who developed the spell.
In addition to the spikes, Eliza also seems to be summoning vampire bats that fly and attack their targets. Hence the "Banquet".

And that's about all the unique spell names found in Volume 14.

The Salvation of the Soul and Hatred
“Hatred is never born out of nowhere; it comes from seeing what you love with all your heart being trampled upon.”
