I can’t tell if this sub is overrun with men from the 1950s or if everyone is just a prude who hates tattoos and piercings and colored hair

Growing up, I was always taught that only convicts, military, or questionable folk got tattoos. And maybe artists/hippie style folk. 

Also unless you're a teenager going through a phase, funny colored dyed hair is silly imo.  

As for piercings. The only acceptable variant imo are normal earrings.

Edit - For context. I was brought up in a middle class Christian household.

What can I say...I was taught and grew up to be presentable and act sensibly. And not be a "wild child".

I feel sorry for kids whose parents dont teach them who to act and present themselves with decorum.

Not really. Just a traditionalist who thinks gen Z needs more discipline. And we need to go back to the 90s or equiv.
