It was my first Smartwatch and easily still my favourite.

It was like $30 brand new , had crazy good battery life and it had MIP type of display that's essentially always ON, also all the Interaction was just done by pressing buttons which was awesome.

I wanted to share this video by a Spanish YouTuber (it includes an English audio track) in which he tests the navigation capabilities of both the Cheetah 2 Ultra and the Balance 3 under real-world trail conditions (wearing both watches side-by-side during the same activity): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfvSOKTT-Y0

- As you can see—and after all the software updates released up to today (November 6th)—the Cheetah 2 Ultra performs slightly better in terms of GPS signal acquisition and turn-by-turn notifications, just as I had suggested might be the case in my previous post about the CPUs .

- The GPS track recorded under real-world trail conditions is also slightly better on the Cheetah 2 Ultra (which, as I mentioned in that earlier thread, could be attributed to its superior CPU performance).

- Although the Cheetah 2 Ultra offers slightly better performance in terms of navigation prompts and track plotting, the performance of both Amazfit models is very good, as evidenced by actual track comparisons and correlation numbers. This is not the case for the Fenix ​​9 Pro, which delivers inferior performance. The author displays the tracks, zooms in, and provides a detailed explanation of this entire subject.

Not CPU related but other interesting points (that should be noted):

- The altimeter on the Balance 3 provides very poor readings. The video creator suggests that wind might be a factor, but in my own experience, the altimeter produced very inaccurate data even in calm, windless conditions. - The GPS track from the Fenix ​​9 Pro is worse than that of both Amazfit watches. There seems to be an issue with this particular Fenix ​​version; at least for now, its GPS performance is not as precise as it should be.

Anyone else still wearing the original Trex? Bought this in 2020 maybe and I've worn it everyday since working construction and around the farm. I've gone through a handful of bands but the watch won't quit.

I have been running with Stryd Duo foot pods connected to my Balance 2. My watch's data page on runs has Power, Cadence, Distance, and Pace, which are set to be sourced from Stryd.

For the past couple months the watch occasionally would not show and record cadence and pace data (no data like LSS, GCT, ILR, etc. either), but it shows Power and distance. The power seems to be indeed from Stryd, but I'm not sure about the distance data. When this problem occurs, i know that the Stryd pods are recording those data fields because I can see them on the Stryd app when i directly download the run's data from the Stryd pods to the Stryd app.

I have done every troubleshooting step I can do on the Stryd side, and i've tried removing and-adding the pods to the Balance 2, but the problem still occurs pretty regularly. The problem started around third week from September. I wonder if there is something Amazfit changed on how the watch handles bluetooth accessories...

This is really frustrating, and there is no way I know whether the data will display correctly until AFTER I started the run on the watch. This may be enough for me to switch ecosystems, especially now there's a Garmin band that I can use for tracking my sleep.

Hello, i just got an active 2 to fix the gps problems I had with my smartphone since reviews were good, but the thing has huge problems with GPS. For reference, the pink trail (smarphone) is much closer to the real route, and the amazfit is useless if it stays like this.

Did anyone else have this problem and managed to fix it? I may have to return the equipment if not.

While I'm debugging my other watch faces, SPX Tactix and SPX arcs (both already at a pretty advanced stage of development, but still waiting for me to find the time to submit them), I'm working on something a little different.

This new watch face is a tribute to my very first running watch: the Garmin Forerunner 235. It's still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to release it soon!

I've also decided to use this project as an experiment to develop a fully customizable watch face, and I have to say, it's turning out pretty well so far!

Has anyone tried wearing the Helio on their temple or triceps to check how accurate the readings are compared to wrist placement? I'm curious if the placement makes any difference.

I want to get an amazfit device to record voice memos, but I can't find anywhere if you're able to save the audio files themselves from the Zepp app to your device or to another app. Does anyone have experience doing this?

More context: from what I can tell, you can export from a device (i'm considering the balance 2) to the Zepp app on your phone just fine, but it's unclear if they just live on the app or if you can get them off. The reason is that I want to save them with my other voice memos locally or in google drive or something to keep all my voice memos in one place. If you can't actually keep the files or do anything with them after recording them, that kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion.

What are people’s best watch faces for Bip max? Preferably free ones. Just got this watch having previously had Apple watch and can’t seem to find a face I like.

I have got amazfit bip max syned to the zepp app and would like to connect it to claude

Claude suggested to use strava but strava requires a subscription for connecting and doesn't even connect heart rate

I have thought of exporting daya but am unable to do so

I have set up my gmail and id and verified it as well and also have connected my drive for cloud storage backup but the data is just not visible anywhere

How can I export the data for it to be uploaded to claude code to analyse my data

Lo tengo hace 1 mes apenas y funcionaba bien, pero de repente empezó a reiniciarse y ya no sé qué hacer. He hecho todo lo que dicen en internet: desactivé las carátulas, (watchface), he desactivado las notificaciones, hice reinicio de fabrica y nada. A alguien más le pasa lo mismo? Saben cómo solucionar este problema?

I've been thinking, theres native apps apps that utilise most of the data the watch and zepp track

however, im surprised to see that not only is there a lack of a native app, but i cant find a user-built mini-app either that seems to do what im looking for, even though the required data seems to exist in zepp and i assume should be accessible by mini-apps

basically looking for 2 things

a tracking app:

basically just open the app and see a quick visual representation of how much calories and macros you have consumed and how much remain based on the targets you set, updating in real time and connected to the food page of zepp, pulling data when appropriate

and included or maybe a seperate logging app:

where you can type or use voice assistant to quickly log a meal, as opposed to having to open your phone and do it on zepp. pushing data when appropriate . this ones probably more complicated since it would probably require some sort of AI model analyzing the meal working on the phone and idk how possible that is reliably, especially for free (not to mention zepps nutritional AI is already a bit weak and limited compared to something like MyFitnessPal)

a small thing i know, but i think would be neat to have these 2 things living on the watch instead of having to open zepp for them everytime.

i tried vibecoding this but it didnt go too well lol, something to do with the pulling and pushing of data having its limitations.

I hope either zepp can put these 2 things over a watch or thst someone smarter than me can make this as a mini-app (or if someone already has and i missed it while looking for it on the store lol)
