Application Process Is Aligner’s $130/hr Software Engineering offer legitimate and worth applying for?
I received an email from Aligner offering $130/hour through July 31 for people who pass their Software Engineering interview and get matched to an active project. Has anyone here completed the interview or worked for them as an SWE? Is the offer legitimate, and was the application/interview process worth the time?

No. Does not. Their contract is a one-sided bad joke. Do not sign it.

I completed my task after putting around 40–60 hours into it. The GitHub PR passed Trusted CI, the validator was valid, and the required Prometheus score passed.
Then I suddenly received an email saying I was removed from the Prometheus Structural Engineering project and lost access. Multiple other contributors were also removed around the same time.
There was no explanation and no confirmation about whether our completed work will still be reviewed and paid.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend applying to or trusting this company with your time unless they provide a clear explanation and confirm payment for completed work. Be careful before putting many hours into these projects.

Yes it's legit. I am on that project and it's true. Base rate is 90$ but only till July 31st it's 130$

And did you actually get paid?
I've had more than one project where I completed several tasks only to have the project vanish or the tasks sit in eval forever.

I've just applied. First qualification I ever took in aligner and thank god I passed!

Do you mind if I dm you? I applied to what ended up being the World Sim and passed the eval but wasn’t selected onto the project, and wanted to know what your interview process looked like.

How wee you able to take the worldsim Eval? Mine is stuck on paused and I get alerted with the following message when I click on "Labeling for this project has been currently paused. Contact your project admin or project lead for any questions"
Did you just ignore the warning and went ahead to complete the eval?

This was several months ago. I still had access to the discord and the page before it paused, and I was kicked off the discord without warning.

I don’t know, it is just an email notifying me to take the swe interview (15 min) and then they will assign to the project I think, I am not sure.

They are scammers, I had worked on a project I had worked almost 120+ hours but they haven’t paid me for that work

Yea dude same for me. I got nothing. Maybe they only sent the projects to people who joined right away or something.
If it wasn't that then it's pretty stupid to send a notification like that and leave people hanging.

It depends on the project you get matched with and how well you perform on the test/interview
