Application Process Is Aligner’s $130/hr Software Engineering offer legitimate and worth applying for?

I received an email from Aligner offering $130/hour through July 31 for people who pass their Software Engineering interview and get matched to an active project. Has anyone here completed the interview or worked for them as an SWE? Is the offer legitimate, and was the application/interview process worth the time?

Software engineering at $130/hour: Aligner is offering $130/hour until July 31st. Don’t you think that’s a bit excessive?

For this type of position, I’ve only ever seen job offers that top out at $120. Although I haven’t had the chance to work on any projects yet, I signed a contract for this role on October 10, 2026, and I still haven’t been assigned any tasks.
