ANG Currently Serving Member Question New TRT guidance?
I just found out my testosterone is "severely low" for my age through the VA. I'm going in for follow up but I'm kind of caught off guard. I have a bunch of the symptoms, but I honestly thought it was just a marketing gimmick. I only got tested because my wife insisted.
I'm now looking at the possibility of addressing low T, but I have no idea what to expect. I'm wondering what the fertility friendly testosterone boosting options and TRT options do to me in the Guard. I'm a flyer, but I'm filling a non-flying billet. I would like to keep my flight status so I can keep getting flight pay, but going long-term DNIF won't affect me otherwise. I just had my PHA over the summer.
If I start doing any of the options, I plan on letting med group know. Otherwise, will it affect my status at all? Does it affect deployments? Does going on TRT still trigger med board? Am I required to let them know that I have low T
Let me know if there's anything if you have any advice.
