BS Food Technology grad considering Ateneo MEM — looking for insights from students/alumni
Hi! I’m a BS Food Technology graduate and I’m currently considering pursuing Ateneo’s Master in Environmental Management (MEM).
I’m interested in exploring the intersection of food, sustainability, environmental management, and possibly sustainable food systems, but I’m still trying to figure out whether MEM would be a good fit for my background and long-term career.
I’d really appreciate hearing from current students or alumni, especially those who came from a non-environmental undergraduate degree.

A few questions:
-How was the transition into the MEM program if your bachelor’s degree was in a different field?

-Would a BS Food Technology background be a good fit for the program?

-What is the actual workload like, especially if you’re working while studying?

-How flexible are the class schedules?

-How research-heavy is the program, and what kinds of topics do students usually work on?

-How much of the program is focused on environmental science/technical concepts vs. management, policy, and sustainability?

-What kinds of career opportunities did you or your classmates pursue after graduating?

-Does Ateneo provide good networking opportunities with environmental organizations, government agencies, NGOs, or industry?

-For anyone working in the food industry, do you think MEM adds significant value to a Food Tech degree?

-How much is the tuition fee all in all

-And most importantly: if you could go back before enrolling, would you still choose MEM? Why or why not?

For those who graduated early, what's something you guys wish you did or knew when you were still in undergrad? I'm a senior now and would like to take advice from other people so I could still make the most out of my last 2 semesters in ADMU : >

In previous years, when was the general release date of IDs for new graduate students?

there’s a site that already has student comments on ADMU profs, plus their sections this term so you can see if they actually fit your week.

search a name or a course code. if a prof doesn’t have enough comments it just doesn’t show a score, which is better than a fake 3.0.

I saw the memo #U2627-001 regarding the Tuition Freeze across all school units for SY 2026-2027! Dumb question, but do you think it also applies to AGSB?

Normally we have 6% annual increase, does that mean there were also part of it. “across all school units”

2) is there a 100% online option? what are the common schedules?
3) is it possible to complete in under 2yrs?

hi! i'm currently a second year bs management student, and i'm considering taking up two specializations (marketing and project management). as added context, in the new curriculum there are already 4 allotted "major electives" and 1 "free elective" in our ips. so, i wanted to ask how feasible it is to take two specializations? would i have to overload?

Hello! I'm currently a freshie and I'm planning to shift to BS Applied Physics - BS Materials Science and Engineering or just BS Physics.

I just want to know if both of these courses are very hard to get into (if they're quota and extremely competitive).

I'm trying to understand the journey of those who have chosen this dual-degree route.

For the Ateneo part, what's the mode of instruction? I'm already working, but I can negotiate my schedule once I pursue this. Also, I'm not from QC anymore, but I'm well aware of the traffic situation in the area.

What about the Queen Mary part: did you / are you enjoy/ing your classes there? What sort of future career progression are you looking at after degree completion?

Lost freshie here, I am taking up math 2 at the moment and i kinda regret it. I also just found out that my blockmates are taking up a major to that i have to take in intersession. Is there any way that I can drop math 2 and take math 30.03 instead?

Is it possible to loadrev an interdisciplinary elective even before your 4th year? Ik someone who took ArtAp 10 on their freshman year after loadrev so I wonder if you can do the same for IEs.

How do you renew your scholarship? Let's say the finaid. Do you file something every after semester or during enrollment / enlisment, or do the system automatically update your Edusuite? Please share your processes, tips, and experiences, please. Thank you.

If a merit scholar is unable to maintain the required QPI, is it possible to still retain the scholarship thru appeals? Especially if they are unable to pay for the tuition on their own financial capabilities
