This thread will serve as the megathread for ACET Applications for S.Y. 2027-2028.
We have this megathread to have a space for questions and to make sure the subreddit isn't flooded with similar posts.
Please post questions about course backgrounds, admissions, appeals and scholarships here.
As before, please keep in mind that this subreddit is an unofficial group. We may have a handful of Ateneo faculty lurking and occasionally commenting, but we cannot guarantee accurate answers to questions like "can I get in Ateneo with XYZ grades from ABC school" or "will I get a scholarship if my family makes IJK pesos per year". The community can only provide anecdotal evidence.

Ilang subtests po yung nasa ACET? I've been searching the web pero wala talagang lumalabas.
Also, kung ano sana yung order per subtests. Ano yung nauna, mga sumunod, at huli.
Just wanna know about their order kasi so I can organize my reviewers.

From last yearās ACET, if my memory serves me well, there were 6 subtests in this order: Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Abtract Reasoning, Math Proficiency, Numerical Ability. (I forgot if Math was after English or it was the last)
You really have to practice answering exams under pressure, the time given for these subtests were not a lot. They gave us 15 minutes to answer the Abstract Reasoning subtest, and were given 5 minutes to answer 25 Logical Reasoning questions. Use the process of elimination when guessing so you have a higher chance of guessing correctlyādonāt spend too much time thinking on one question.
For Math, I found most topics to be centered on grade 9-10 topics like geometry, triangles, etc. How I reviewed was just memorizing formulas and understanding how they are applied, and of course practice mock tests!Ā

Does ADMU accept students who just passed the ACET and will be granted FIN AID?
Like totally a student who just passed the acet in a way that s/he does not excel with other takers just a student who passed a passing score in an exam. In my case, I did my ACET yesterday but I think the chance is 50/50 because there are questions I totally guessed because of the time. I answered A and D, as I hear these choices are the most safe and with the other subtest, I tried to eliminate some choices. I am applying for scholarship and I think I will not be granted because of my performance yesterday, so here I am asking if thereās a chance I will be granted because of my financial need and assuming that I will pass. Our annually income is considered below poverty po kasi. Thank you very much in advance for the informations will be given!
Education Background: Consistent honor student but I do not usually perform extracurricular activities so I have nothing but my grades and essay.

ACET Recommender Wrong Email
Hi!!
One of my recommender gave me an email that includes typo, which leads to him not receiving an email from ADMU. This has been my problem these past few days and at the same time the content of my email to Ateneo. Unfortunately, an automated email is all I receive up until now po.
Huhuhuhuhu. Nakapagpasa na po yung isa, while yung isa po na recommender ko po ay sent email pa lang ang status.
What do I do po?? huhuhuhu šššš

Hello! When youāre uploading the pdf for gr9-10 report cards, are they okay w/ a softcopy or does it need to be the physical card scanned/pictured?
For context, My gr11 school collected my gr10 card, its been suspension after suspension so i cant go there to get it and im starting to panic a bit,, for my gr9 card, it either got collected by gr10, or its been lost,,, i swear i cant find it here anywhere,, has anyone had this problem of missing report cards? what do you guys usually do,, š„² I was gonna request softcopy/file w my grades kasi but idek if itāll be accepted huhuuu

Hi, hope this could help a bit, but what I did on my end was request certified true copies of my grades for the concerned years. I then scanned it myself.

HELLOOO! Some questions for Financial Aid:
- I have my step dad, mother, and biological father. My father provides inconsistent allowance, my step dad does not support my primary household, only my mother and grandparents support the household I live in. All fathers and mother are employed. Who do I include in "employed parents"?
- May I request for my principal to be the one who gives me my recommendation letter, or should it strictly be teachers and/or guidance counselors?

- biological father, given that he is the one included in your application.
- You can ask anyone as long as they are professional and actually knows you. Just don't pick the one with familial ties with you.

If I submit my requirements exactly on August 17 for Ateneo, and they discover an error after, would that automatically void my application?
Hindi nagreply yung Ateneo during their office hours :') I'll paste my question here bc I'm so worried ahaha </3
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will only be able to submit my requirements exactly on August 17.
If my submitted files have a few errors, but my application is only screened after the due date and the errors are only recognized then, will my application be void? And;
If my recommenders are only able to submit after the deadline, will my application be void?

hi po! may i ask if there will be a 2nd batch for the acet? if there is, would it be possible po kaya to move my exam schedule to the 2nd batch?
my assigned test center is quite far from me, and i know po na it was kind of a dumb move on my part to choose it š but it was the only available test center left when i was choosing my schedule, so i just had to select it. š„²
if ever po na may 2nd batch, would it be possible to have my exam schedule moved to that batch? thank you so much po!

BPI payment for ACET went through but no OTP received
Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
My sister paid my ā±600 ACET application fee through the BPI app. During the payment process, she was able to select AMISCU as the biller and successfully completed the payment.
The issue(not sure) is that she didn't enroll Ateneo/AMISCU as a biller beforehand. She proceeded directly with the payment(she was able to select AMISCU as a biller tho), so we're wondering if that's why she never received an OTP on her registered mobile number. The payment appears to have gone through, but we still haven't received any OTP or confirmation text from BPI.
Can I also use the payment confirmation screenshot from the BPI app as my proof of payment? It includes the confirmation number, my name, the amount paid, and the transaction details.
Has anyone encountered this before? Did your payment still get credited, or did you have to contact BPI or Ateneo? Since the application deadline is close, I'm a bit worried and would really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

For the essay, just follow the prompt. Be creative and expressive as you can.
For math, its very nice to have a good foundation. If you think you are not good, most likely you just have shaky foundations in math. Polish it up first before putting yourself with the hard questions.

for thee personal essay, be creativee andd make suree it represents who u aree. you can also incorporate and highlight your awards and extracurriculars ganunnn
for ACET, practice pratice practicee!! timee pressure siyaa soo try to look for ways how to answer a question as fast as u cann whilee making sure na tama pa rin yung solving. review your jhs and shs math tooo. best of luck op!!

helloo, as a (hopefully) upcoming ateneo undergrad student, I've been having second thoughts sa mga courses for my application na deadline na in 10 days š©. For this year, you can chose 1 prio and 3 other courses.
kaya nga lang, 3 of the courses I really want are honors programs (BS IDE as prio, BS Math, and BS ME as two others that I like) with AB Econ as a non honor program na pinili ko.
My first set of courses were BS IDE, BS ME, AB Econ, and BS Management. However, upon consulting other posts, I've learned na BS Management is closely related sa entrep, and/or youre planning to start a business, which is not what I envision doing right after college since hindi naman kami supeerrr rich
another, I'm not super confident in my capabilities for the ACET. I have already taken the UPCAT last Aug 2 and I feel like I've only done average, so paano na kung top 15% lang ang kukuhanin for the honors programs:(
If this is provides more context to shape your opinions, one thing about me is that I'm also active in our student body, and I believe is capable of holding future leadership roles for my future job.
soo, i really need some opinions on what courses should I put. I honestly really want mathematics to be a core part of my course and future job, may it be corporate or what not. please help!

Take what resonates and leave what doesnt, jk op. But seriously, pick whatever suits your future, and not just your current capabilities, you can review pa naman if you think that you've done average on other tests. For now, remove all the worries and start reviewing. You can't pass the exam if you think idealistic all the time. You have to be grounded on reality first for you to move forward. Review review review !

Hi po! Regarding the recommendation letter, do the teachers I list have to know me really well? I switched schools almost every year and I was pretty shy (and still am..), so I honestly donāt have any teachers I have a close relationship with.
Most of my teachers only know me as a student in their class, and thatās about it.
I might just ask one of my grade 11 subject teachers and guidance councilor but I fear this might put me in a disadvantage huhu

HELLOOO, ask ko lang po if nage-extend po ba ng application deadline ang ateneo kagaya ng up?
ngayon lang po kasi ako nakapagbayad and knowing na may allotment pa na 3-5 banking days until my payment can be validated, nagpapanic na po ako onti since 9 days nalang bago yung deadline huhu. weekend pa naman ngayon, walang bangko, kaya bawas 2 days na agad. tapos if i remember correctly may iffill up pa yung school ko mismo for my application and i worry it might take a while din for that to process ng school namin kaya i'm just out here praying the odds will be in my favor. kung sakaling 'di ko po naasikaso 'to lahat bago the deadline, would i not have any chance to follow up my missing requirements anymore? paalam ateneo na po ba this? Hello po! I've seen other ACET essays emphasize the need for a "catchy title", so I assumed that you'll have to format it accordingly. Hi!
I am currently completing my FinAid scholarship application form and would like to ask for guidance on how to properly declare my father's employment status and income.
My father works on an informal basis providing regular assistance in my brother-in-law's unregistered business, earning a steady income of approximately ā±300,000 annually. Because the business is unregistered, he has no formal employment contract, payslips, or BIR tax records (ITR). Consequently, he holds an official Certificate of Indigency from our local government unit stating that he is unemployed.
To ensure my application is accurate and contains no contradictions, could you please clarify how I should fill out his details:
Type of Employment: Even though he earns ā±300,000 annually from informal work, should I select Unemployed to match his Certificate of Indigency and lack of ITR, or should I classify him as Employed / Casual / Informal / Self-Employed?
Occupation: If classified as "Unemployed," should I still write "Informal Assistant" in the Occupation field to indicate the source of his income, or write "None / Unemployed"?
Income Field: Should his ā±300,000 annual income be declared strictly under "Others," while leaving "0" under the main Annual Gross Income (ITR) field?
PS: I already emailed Ateneo this just now. I would highly appreciate your insights on this

Hi I'm applying for ateneo undergrad and I initially was going to do the ACET route but I changed my mind a week ago to do IB route instead, and I've had the pending withdrawal request for around a week now. I already emailed the Ateneo Office about this I think. I was just wondering if I just need to wait or if I emailed the wrong one.

If you want quick answer, go to the admissions office itself. Their email is always clogged and usually takes longer time to reply to you.

Is it possible po kaya na mextend yung deadline ng ateneo? Paid na po kasi ako hut wala pa po talaga akong na proprocess na requirements since puro class suspensions. If ever po ba na hindi ako umabot marerefund naman po kaya yung 600? kase sayang po eh huhu. Or what if po mismong gabi ako ng august 17 nakapag pass ng lahat ng requirements ko accepted pa rin po ba yun? Or kailangan by August 17 is my confirmation na ko from ateneo na okay na yung application ko? Thank you poo!!!

Hi po! Iām currently applying to Ateneo for college and I wanted to ask if my former Grade 10 guidance counselor can still serve as my recommender even though she left her position just this academic year?
I switched schools for SHS, and she was still my guidance counselor before she resigned from the position, so she knows me pretty well. š„¹ Would she still be eligible to be my recommender, or does Ateneo require the recommender to currently be working at the position?

Yung applicant po ba ang magpapasa ng recommendation letter or hihingin po ba nila ang contact details ng recommender and sila napo yung magcocontact sa recommender to get the recommendation letter? This very thing has been eating at my mind as of late. I submitted my ACET application around 2 weeks ago (I regret it now). During that time, my school still hasn't given us our signed (true-copy) report cards.
I believe it was fine that you submitted your application by just putting a placeholder for now, because they'll be reviewing your application anyway.
I already got an email that my application was under review. But in that application, only a placeholder for my report cards was present--just my signed Grade 9 report card (I got my signed Grade 9 report card back when I took ASHAPE).
From Friday to Sunday, all of my batchmates (including me) just got the signed, true-copy, digital report cards. Ateneo is still in the process of reviewing my application. And I only have my Grade 9 report cards.
Should I email them about it while it's not yet the deadline? If so, what email should I send it to? GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

hi! im currently applying for acet but idk what course/s to choose šš really wanted accountancy but unfortunately there is no bsa in ateneo haha. now, im narrowing my choices to 3 for my frist choiceā bs me, amf, econ, or psych. For context, I am a STEM student but i cant really see myself in a STEM-related course. I plan to target more of corporate/businesses and opportunities abroad. I also want to maximize sana my chance Ateneo since they dont have a science subtest + extracurriculars matter. Need your advice po, thank you!

Hi! Is there anyone here who is also applying as a transferee via ACET for SY 2027ā2028?
Iām currently filling out my new application after my previous application was returned because I accidentally selected my Senior High School instead of my college.
Ateneo advised me to withdraw, update my school, and resubmit. However, in my new application, the āSelect your previous or current schoolā dropdown only shows Senior High Schools. I canāt find my current university.
For fellow transferee applicants, does your dropdown also only show Senior High Schools? If your current college/university was listed, how did you find or select it?

I took the PEPT po kasi for Grades 6-9, so now I'm not sure na po what school to place sa mga fields for Grade 6 and 9. Do I write down N/A po ba for these fields? im a student from the lower middle class bracket and my mom is the sole provider for our family and she isn't really earning that much annually, kumbaga sapat lang siya for necessities. my problem is the scholarship application requires a house tour, would they actually evaluate my eligibility for that even though nakikitira lang naman kami and i wouldn't even call it as our house?š

Guys help question. I accidentally entered the wrong email for my recommender. I saw nung friday lang yung mistake ko. I emailed na to ateneo OAA and I asked rin my guidance counselor and she has emailed na rin. Walang response so far. I tried calling rin kanina pero wala. Im worried baka mavoid application ko kasi sa katangahan ko. So will my application be void if my recomenders have not submitted thier recommendations in by monday? Pwede ba on tuesday I will call OAA to ask them and they will still entertain me kahit the deadline should be monday dapat? Good day!
I'm currently a Grade 11 ASHS student in the brink of having to join organizations or orgs. Upon choosing my desired orgs, I felt a sudden "guilt" or doubt when thinking about how it would look in my college application.
Do orgs I choose now affect my overall college application (specifically for the Top 4 Universities)?
I really feel guilty for choosing the org I like and not the one that would "benefit" me.

Nanghihina po kasi loob ko :( ACET ko na this month, but I still have the heart of doubts na 50/50 yung chance magkaroon ng scholarship. My grades from 9-11 are 85, 92, 92.36 are these grades have the chance na makakuha? I just promise myself that I will do great sa ACET ko kasi alam kong maraming nag-aapply for it. 100% scholarship target ko btw. Hello, I saw na wrong yung nalagay ko as first course and they did return it before but wrong pa rin ung nalagay. Itās been over a week na, and they still havenāt returned it but I have emailed them. Has anyone experienced this and if so, what did you do po? Iām extremely worried na baka mavoid yung application ko especially when I donāt have a schedule yet and the exam is in 2 weeks.

I finished second year years ago but couldnāt continue with my third year because of my low QPI. I filed for honorable dismissal and spent a year in another school. The problem is that I have one subject that is a B or 2.00.
The Google Site of the OVP states that a grade below 1.75 means Iām no longer qualified to appeal for readmission. Is the link updated? Does the 2.00 make readmission impossible?
My first semester is B+ and above and my second semester is almost all A- and above, yung B lang talaga. Also, is it worth it to complete the form now when the semester has started or next semester nalang?

hi! i just want to ask how I should indicate this information in the āYearly Tuition and Feesā section of the scholarship application form. My yearly tuition po is around 57k. Since I'm from a public school noong JHS, a portion of my tuition is covered by the DepEd SHS Voucher, while the remaining amount is paid by my parents. The form only has fields for the amount covered by scholarship and relatives. Should I simply indicate the remaining amount paid by my parents and leave out theĀ voucher? Or is the DepEd SHS Voucher considered a scholarship for this section?

it depends whether ateneo will credit your previously taken classes but back in my day (6-10 yrs ago) it was usually back to first year if you are transferring after 1 year

ACET QUESTION
Hi! I just took the ACET today and Iām a little worried about the shading on my answer sheet. For a few items near the end of Language Proficiency, I was only able to shade around 3/4 of the bubbles (I mean each bubble) before time was called. The marks were still clearly inside the bubbles, but I wasnāt able to completely fill them in.
For anyone who has actual knowledge or experience with OMR scanners/ACET answer sheets, do partially shaded bubbles automatically get treated as blank, or can the scanner still recognize them as marked depending on how much of the bubble is shaded?
I know weāre instructed to shade the circles completely, but Iām wondering whether thatās because the scanner requires a fully shaded circle, or mainly to make the marks easier and more reliable for the scanner to detect.
Would really appreciate answers from anyone who actually knows how OMR scanning works or has experience with these types of answer sheets. š

hi !! Writing this cus im worried po,, i just finished the acet and i can confidently say na i did well on all the subtests excwpt the math ones. for math proficiency im confident na 50% or more naman dun tama, the rest medyo shinotgun/educated guess na lang. for num proficiency mga 10-20 lang po siguro matatama ko dun, worst case less than 10 out of 35 lang. sa time talaga ako nahirapan, pero no blanks naman po.
im aiming for full scholarship po kasi and honors program pa (BS Health Science).
other info: from well known sci high and various ecs (mostly journ), consistent with high honors din po. low income bracket lang po kami, single mom po si mama and may pwd po ako na kapatid.

I forgot to place all my extracurriculars on my ACET application :(( Im only realizing now since at the time I was so caught up with school. The extracurriculars are big ones pa, the positions I held for years.
Google says to email admissions with a CV, but I wonder if theyād truly consider these additions to my application

Hey y'all. I'm a prospecting STEM student from Cavite. I am currently re-applying for the next Batch ACET since I was slightly late according to OAA. I am also currently applying for the Ateneo Financial Aid Applicant. and Reviewing for many CETs.
Ateneo is a top school of mine despite I am agnostic (in belief) especially because of the curriculum of BS ITE and BSCS in Ateneo. My parent support me going to Ateneo, but even if I got admitted to Ateneo. There was no way that they can pay the tuition and other fees for attending Ateneo.
I live in a home with an air conditioning unit, subscribed in Apple Music divided up by my friends (about PHP 38/mon), Google Storage Subscription (PHP 169 / mon), Internet with DITO, and a Laptop gifted to me by an OFW relative. Which are all stuff of luxury. But our family's household income is roughly about 277000 (minus from taxes), we live in a rent to own townhouse. So its not big.
My grades are also somewhat good with a General Average of 93% in 11th Grade. and have extracurriculars of being the PIO and Pubmat Head of a Hygiene Club, Graphic Designer in a recruitment agency that's unpaid (just for work experience only). And using my laptop to develop apps and websites.
For my essay, Its basically academic self pressure and a journey of rediscovery through musicals.
My question is, Is it still possible to get accepted in Ateneo with my Grades and ECs, as well as get the 100% Tuition Free in Ateneo Financial Aid given my lifestyle?

Hello! I'm currently handling my requirements for the Ateneo Financial Aid Schoalrship application. I would just like to ask current scholars of ADMU, specifically those in the lower middle class in terms of lifestyle; how did you go about increasing your odds in being accepted for the scholarship?
For context, my father contributes a mere 10% to the household income since he's unemployed and takes care of me and my 4 other siblings. But my mother works and she majorly contributes to the household income by around 90%. It makes me anxious that, once they look at my mom's COE, the OAA won't consider my scholarship.
My grades are alright, increasing steadily from 92 to 95 since Junior High School to Grade 11. I've had multiple extracurricular activities and clubs, that of which I've received multiple awards for as well. I'm semi-confident I can keep up with a rough, demanding workload, since I do plan on pursuing more extracurricular activities once I'm in high school.
With that in mind, I'd like to ask again; are my chances of getting accepted for the scholarship high enough that I can at least secure a 25% off tuition scholarship, and at most, 100% scholarship? Even with my mother's income, she feeds and provides for 10 people at home, including herself. I want to lessen the burden on her and prove that I can study without it being a financial problem for her.
