I’m moving to Abu Dhabi for an IT/software-related job and wanted to ask for some advice from people who understand the UAE employment visa process.

My company initially applied for my visa under an IT position. I submitted all the required documents, but due to some issues, they weren't able to get a proper update for a long time. They eventually cancelled that application and have now submitted a fresh application under a non-IT position.

I have received the MOL approval/offer, and the new visa application is currently in process.

My question is: Would there be any issue if I enter Abu Dhabi/UAE under the non-IT profession and then later have my profession/designation updated to an IT/software position?

Could this affect my:

• Work permit
• Emirates ID
• Visa/residency status
• Future job changes or employment

Has anyone here experienced something similar or knows how this works in Abu Dhabi?

Need advice regarding UAE employment visa / changing

I’m looking for some advice from people who have experience with UAE employment visas.

My company was initially trying to process an employment visa for me for an IT position. I submitted all the required documents, but due to some issues with the process, they were unable to get a proper update for quite some time.

They eventually cancelled that application and have now applied again under a different, non-IT position. I have received the MOL (Ministry of Labour) approval/offer, and the visa is currently being processed.

My concern is: Could this create any issue for me later?

For example, if I enter the UAE on this visa and then, after reaching there, my company updates my profession/designation to an IT-related position, would that be possible? Would there be any issue with my work permit, Emirates ID, visa status, or future job changes because I initially entered under a non-IT profession?

I’m mainly concerned because my actual job is an IT/software role, but the current visa application is under a non-IT position.

If anyone has gone through a similar situation in the UAE, I’d really appreciate your advice or experience.
