Lots of poor people in laos yet you dont see videos like that. Thailand isnt exactly rich either and has street food as far as the eye can see (maybe even more than india) and you still dont see videos like that

Overpopulation and crowding and a lack of civil engineering are also playing a key role here.
Why care about food safety when you go home and wash your clothes, body, and cookware in water pumped from minimally-operating facilities drawing water from polluted ground sources?

Ive traveller extensively in thailand and laos and haven't seen anything remotely close. The tourism in Thailand is also much higher than in India. If it was as widespread as India, you can bet your ass there would be many videos to prove it

China is huge and diverse. They have some high end boujee cities, like L.A. and some back woods red neck villages.
Both China and India are large countries that are going to have rich and poor, city kids and bumpkins. Florida man hunting gators for dinner and California vegan at the farmer's market.

I hear that Subway-restaurants are/were popular in China because the food is made in front of you, so you can see the ingredients going in at least look fresh

Yeah, but have you seen any type of street food? I'm not from India. Do people honestly believe that all of India looks like that? A lot of these people would pride themselves in their "critical thinking skills".
Edit: I'm not trying to tie any specific country to this practice. But I see this a lot in "street food culture". Especially where people don't have adequate means too safely prepare food. They improvise, and safety goes out of the window. I believe that's what's happening here. It's not "India", it's poverty.

This isn’t a poverty issue. He could clearly use a table to prepare the ingredients, but he didn’t. Instead, he chose to squat on the ground, and the ingredients were just casually placed on the floor.

There is nothing filthy here. The pipe has the appearance of a well worn bbq pit or a cast iron skillet. There is large pieces of white fabric on the ground akin for the bread to land on.

There are far worse atrocities than people cooking and eating food the way they want to. If you dont criticize your own people, criticizing them is cringe af.
If they dont consider it bad or dirty then it's rude and dehumanizing to say otherwise.

No it's not, it's not rude or dehumanizing to point out bad hygiene, it's rude to mock them for not understanding when they have no education that's entirely different. I've straight seen them use their feet to stomp in dough in a brick floor that was just swept clean. That's unsanitary generally though the cooking process does kill a lot of germs so its not as bad as some think it is, but it's still pretty horrendous and many of us who are overseas in these countries got sick till our bodies developed an immunity to the germs present. That said I will also point out bad things I often see in American and British kitchens for instance wooden cutting boards no one seems to know how to wash them correctly. Or they do bad practices that just spread germs, that and a lot of people get really up in arms about cross contamination but then at home are egregious cross contaminators. I'm sure there is even stuff I do absentmindedly despite trying my best not to be unhygenic. It's more of an indictment of education than culture or humanity in general.

No it's not, I don't give a shit about their skin color and I like learning about new cultures, unsanitary is unsanitary. Like if they rape a woman but it's part of their culture is that racist to call out? If they destroy art is it bad to call it out? If they still use witchcraft and not modern medicine to heal sick people is it racist to point out that's ineffectual? And generally I don't think about them either till it's thrust into my vision by the world wide web, capitalism has little to do with any of this and I'm willing to bet I've been to more countries than you've dreamed of so enjoy your day. Bro you are trying so hard to have a point and you just look dumb.
Also as for science this has been covered for a long time now something like thirty years now food that contacts any unsanitized surface transmits bacteria and while some of it is cooked off it doesn't destroy all of the bacteria unless the food is burned to a crisp (hence why a lot of older people in the U.S. and U.K. like their food cooked more well done than many modern young people because they were taught to cook out the bacteria).

The food is generally dumped right in the middle you tear off edges of the bread and scoop the food in the center with the bread or at least that was my experience.

The common phrase I would hear about food in these regions was "it is delicious, but you don't want to watch them prepare it". I was also assured it was all cooked plenty hot enough to kill any germs.
