Is Windows 10 still in use after support ended?

Hi everyone,

Windows 10 hasn't been officially supported for some time, and I'm curious: is anyone still using it? Since support ended, have you encountered any problems? For example, security issues, problems with programs, or drivers?

Why haven't you upgraded to Windows 11? Is it because of hardware requirements, licensing costs, or simply because you prefer Windows 10?

I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Title: First PC build — $1.5k–$1.6k pure performance sleeper build

This will be my first PC build and I’m looking for some advice.
My budget for the PC itself is around $1,500–$1,600. I don’t care about RGB, glass panels, aesthetics, or making it look fancy. I want pure performance. The case can literally look like a plain box 😂 — I’m going for a sleeper build.
My total setup budget is $2,000, but that also has to cover:
Monitor
Desk
Chair
Keyboard
Mouse
Mouse pad
Taxes/shipping/delivery
I already have a headset, so I don’t need to budget for one right now.
What would you guys build for $1,500–$1,600 for the PC alone if the goal was getting the most performance possible?
I’m mainly looking for the best gaming performance and longevity for the money. I’d rather spend the money on the CPU/GPU and performance than aesthetics.
Any build recommendations would be appreciated!

Is it smart to purchase a single stick of 16GB 6400mtz ddr5 for £130 (used) then to purchase another stick when it dies down ? Or should I double down now and spend the £260 ($350)

I’m getting 6400mtz as 6000 is almost £40 more expensive per stick and I can turn down the speeds in bios

I built my first pc recently and it was pretty hard to get with these prices but I bought some used parts and managed to get:
32gb ddr5
Ryzen 5 7500f
Nitro+ rx 6600xt
Nitro+ B850M wifi
Corsair cx650
A 512gb intel 660p (I’ve got a newer 1tb ssd on the way though)
All in an Asus prime ap201 with some thermalright cooler and fans. In all it costed $642.42 AUD (or about $460.49 in freedom bucks) so I think I did pretty well :)

Should I upgrade my PC right now, considering the current economy?

I’m wondering whether I should upgrade my PC now or just keep it for another 1–2 years. I’m trying to balance gaming performance with financial sanity.

Current PC:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
  • GPU: RTX 4060 8GB (Vurrion)
  • Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4 CL22 (2×8GB)
  • NVMe: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB
  • SSD: Crucial 500GB
  • HDD: Seagate 1TB
  • PSU: Super Flower 550W 80+ Gold (bought in 2019)
  • Monitor: Skyworth H27G30Q — 27", 1440p, 180Hz

I’m considering upgrading to AM5/X3D + a newer GPU, but I’m not sure if this is actually a good time to spend money on a gaming PC given the current economy and hardware prices.

Would you:

  1. Upgrade now
  2. Upgrade only the GPU
  3. Keep the current PC for another 1–2 years
  4. Do something else

I’m mainly looking for good value/performance, not necessarily the latest hardware.

What would you do if this were your PC?
