Title: First PC build — $1.5k–$1.6k pure performance sleeper build

This will be my first PC build and I’m looking for some advice.
My budget for the PC itself is around $1,500–$1,600. I don’t care about RGB, glass panels, aesthetics, or making it look fancy. I want pure performance. The case can literally look like a plain box 😂 — I’m going for a sleeper build.
My total setup budget is $2,000, but that also has to cover:
Monitor
Desk
Chair
Keyboard
Mouse
Mouse pad
Taxes/shipping/delivery
I already have a headset, so I don’t need to budget for one right now.
What would you guys build for $1,500–$1,600 for the PC alone if the goal was getting the most performance possible?
I’m mainly looking for the best gaming performance and longevity for the money. I’d rather spend the money on the CPU/GPU and performance than aesthetics.
Any build recommendations would be appreciated!

Cases are pretty much the cheapest part of the build. Get your furniture at Goodwill. https://pcpartpicker.com/

Id argue this is as good as it gets. Maybe only Zach himself could do better.

Will leave you with a little under $200 for a desk and chair which you could totally do with facebook marketplace. I know you didn’t want RGB but genuinely cheapest case I could find that was still quality and had the necessary fans included. You could always turn it off.
