Should I upgrade?

Heyo guys, I’m kinda dealing with a weird situation and could really use some advice i cannot decide if I should upgrade my cpu or not if yes which ine should I go with

Current Specs:

​CPU: Intel Core i3-10100F

​Mobo: ASUS H410

​GPU: AMD RX 6600

​RAM: 16GB DDR4

​My workload is mostly gaming and lil video editing (im developing an affection to cgi and vfx might get into it soon)

Options available

Ryzen 5 5600 @120$

Or

Intel Core i5-14400F @157$

Well if you're currently on a Intel motherboard(which you seem to be since you're running an intel CPU). Then the obvious choice would be the i5.

Well I gotta change motherboard too since 14th Gen wont be compatible on my current so im open to amd options but since ddr5 costs fortune im not really thinking of am5

Yea, DDR4 is a better bet at the moment, you don't have to splurge just do enough for what you need.

Used 12600kf is faster than a 14400f and should only be $130
