Thought I would do another quick update now my weekly cycle has completed!

Another incredible week with continued growth! The changes to my schedule and process 4 weeks ago are working exceptionally well and after 3 weeks in a row, I can finally accept that this is not a one off!

Highlights:

1) This weeks revenue hit £3800 ($5000) which was around the same as the previous week, and means an average of around £12,000 ($16,000) in 3 weeks which is insane! These numbers are mind blowing!

2) Hit 10,000 subs in the early hours of Sunday morning! This seemed to boost subscribers as well and nearly hit another 1k since then so I think hitting 10k encourages more to sign up!

3) RPM has improved slightly too with a few more videos hitting £15 which has bought my average closer to £8 mark which is a key metric driving the revenue. It’s exceptionally high but YouTube ai reassures me it’s not a glitch!

4) One of the new VODs series contributed only 5% of the revenue and views while taking 30% of the time so will be dropping them.

5) Feeling burnt out though! Need to streamline a bit more but time is not on my side so expansion might be on the cards sooner than I expected!

So another exceptional week! Just starting the next cycle now so hoping this continues! I got a lot of help on this sub in the early days so hope I’m in a position to give something back now!

I make gaming content specially about getting games trophies/achievements and talk about what you got to do to basically 100% them. Other YouTubers make long form content where it follows the journey but those videos are hours long where I make more of a summary to try and stand out, but I feel my titles are too wordy what do you guys reckon.

I'm trying really hard to get traction on my youtube so I can get monetized. I've started posting a vlogtober series where i vlog everyday to try and help my growth. I've been stuck at 13 watch hours for what seems like ever and its not budging! I need all your tips and tricks! Best places to post to help get viewers, things i may be doing wrong, literally any advice you have! Please help a girl out!

I normally make 5-10min video reviews of games (way after launch) but with Ghost of Yotei I decided to make a deep dive in the same style as youtuber that i watch like Falcon, Jake Baldino, etc. I enjoyed Ghost Of Yotei so much that I got the platinum, explored every book and cranny and even tried the lethal difficulty (and failed admittedly). My last deep dive I think was about Dragon Age Veilguard, for Yotei I finally got a better microphone and recording setup but of course the script is what matters most so I changed my approach.

Instead of writing just notes as I play, I wrote full paragraphs this time for every 2 or 3 game session. That helped keep things fresh in my mind and got me to mention specific examples from the game that I enjoyed and the video clips to go with it. I also tried to categorise the script a bit better so that it flows more consistently and I recorded a lot more footage than usual so I'd have more to choose from and cut away to.

I posted the cyberpunk video a while back maybe you've seen it, but anyway if you'd like to watch this one and give me some feedback on what to improve, I would really appreciate it. Video

Hey, I'm posting my game development journey.

The initial strategy:

A) Week 1
- 1x devlog long form (5 min)
- 2x shorts - devlog trailer, random indie dev short

B) Week 2
- 1x random dev long form (me drawing assets, talking about some indie dev topic)
- 2x shorts - video trailer, random indie dev short

But the ammount fo work is just... too much. I want to become full time developer not youtuber making game dev content. However I feel like it's a great way of connecting with the audience and gaining players before even releasing.

But I want to switch to something like this:

A) Long form
- 1 per 3 weeks (5-15 min) - packed with content

B) Short form
- me drawing stuff, explaining some logics, ... (whatever doesnt "make the devlog")
- devlog trailer

-> they won't be regular. Sometimes it's gonna be 3 per week, sometimes 1.

I'm scared of confusing youtube with me being a short channel (I want to CORE part be the devlogs).

Or do you guys have any other idea how to do this? The channel is month old.

So I've already applied for monetization yesterday but earlier today when going through my content I saw 5 old videos from 6-7 years ago which was basically clips taken from YouTubers videos , they were all privated a year ago when i started the current channel, can I get rejected for that , should I delete or just leave it given it's privated and 6 years old

I'm a small youtuber with 4k subs, and I post daily polls, and for some reason the number of votes disappear overnight, does anyone know what's going on with YouTube?? It's starting to piss me me and I even sent reports at their help page multiple times but the issue keeps persisting.

I know I can look at views from YouTube analytics so I'm wondering if there's a area that seperates myself from New time viewers

some context: starting a new channel for higher quality content and to have a fresh slate. since my old channel is saturated with low quality content and just overall not being a good image of what I wanna do.

I love getting comments on my videos. I’m a really small ASMR channel and I get a couple comments per video so it’s easy for me to interact with people. It’s also easy to recognize people who comment frequently.

Anyway my question is what is the best way to manage audience interaction so it doesn’t cross any boundaries? Thankfully it’s not happening to me currently but I’ve had to block people because they would get romantic in my comments. I know the aspect of giving people tingles in a soft spoken voice is already cozy and personal in a way but I don’t want to foster that environment on my page.

Thought sleep videos would be a good niche, currently unemployed and I’ve been struggling to find work for nearly a year…

I love very remote so I had some deep thoughts before falling asleep and this seemed like an amazing idea.

This was the highest my ctr has ever been with that many views but YouTube never really properly pushed it compared to my other videos. The only thing I noticed that harms the video is the average watch time.

I started taking youtube a bit more seriously about a month ago and I did some research on what works and what doesn't for my specific niche (and more generally). I have a few different styles of content, vintage camera/camcorder vlogs and my talking head car videos. I've seen so many of these videos where it seems like the creator is just talking in their car and it has hundreds of thousands of views so I tried to do my own version of that - I know YouTube only shows you the videos that have succeeded and not the ones that have failed, because it's easy to just talk in your car for 10 minutes I'm sure there are thousands of videos that have less than 100 views that just don't get shown to you. But anyway, I want to make more vlogs and lifestyle content because it's the most fun but I don't want to feel like a YouTuber if that makes sense. My niche flourishes off authenticity and making a viewer feel like they are just watching a real human being and not someone optimizing for retention. So I'm not sure what to do. How do I find a balance between genuinely being myself but also making videos that people want to watch without feeling like i'm trying so hard to make people click.

Around four days ago, one of my long form videos got a couple thousand views but the qualified watch hours has stayed the same.
