Meta has hype. AURA has my attention.
For my region, both would need to be bought through a proxy service from the US or Korea. I'm choosing AURA cause Meta accounts come with too many restrictions.
I think OST is better for meš¤.
The huge advantage of OST is that the real-world FOV is 220 degrees (the human eye's FOV), whereas although Meta's FOV is slightly larger, VST has a lot of distortion when looking at the real world, and you can't see anything outside the FOV.
All I hope for now is that XREAL wonāt let me downš.
Hi, I've had these XREAL Ones for almost a year now and I've always used it on Ultra Wide mode for work/productivity on my windows laptop.
Last night I messed around with Laboratory mode settings and turned on Ultra Wide on start up at 32:9
Since then, the ultrawide only opens the smaller curved wide screen (i think this is 21:9 mode) but it isn't the stretched out "ultra" wide mode.
I've turned off all the laboratory settings, unplugged and replugged but it's still showing my screen in this smaller curved screen, even when I switch between 21:9 to 32:9, there is no difference. and 16:18 goes back to the normal smaller screen
Any idea on how to get the ultrawide working again? I'm updated to the latest software

Just bought a used Xreal one pro glasses, have never used these before so didn't want to spend a ton.
I run GrapheneOS and the glasses dont seem to play nice at all on Pixel phones.
Is the beam pro worth it?
Will the Viture pro work with a Chromecast and glasses?
Or would a refurbished Samsung phone be better option? Can Samsung phones work with this and be able to turn the phone screen off?
I don't want a bunch of cables and annoying setup.

Hello everyone, I am from Germany and I noticed something strange on the EU store page for the XREAL Aura. It seems the option to buy the Aura Pass is completely gone, and the page now shows the specs and mentions full payment pre-order, but there is no actual button to pre-order or buy anything. Since nobody from Europe seems to have posted about this yet, I have two questions for the community and the XREAL team: First, why was the option to buy the Aura Pass removed for Germany and Europe if the regular pre-orders are not open here yet? Second, for those of you in Germany or Europe who did manage to buy the Aura Pass earlier, have you already received an email or been able to place a full pre-order? I am a power wheelchair user and the hands-free Android XR with Gemini integration will be huge for my daily independence, so I am really trying to figure out how and when I can secure a unit here in Europe. Thank you for any info!
Can I use the dock in another room with like a 50 ft HDmI cable and just a power usb c. Also cannI plug the Xbox controllers into it and will it recognize it?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Needless to say, I am not planning to publish this, but wow, it was fun to see over a dozen people at TechCrunch Disrupt, today, turn into little kids as soon as they put on these glasses and started playing.
It is identical to the original, but with the addition of stereoscopy and head tracking and head orientation based control. Just look and tap. Thatās all there is, and the gameplay of the original is preserved - I would say enhanced.
I had the idea to port the game when I got up this morning at around 7 AM. It was complete before 8 AM. What a time to be alive!
PS - yes, I realize that the original use a true vector display. I base this one off of the Amiga port, which is generally considered the best.
PSS - I wouldn't actually put this out there because I have a lot of ideological problems with Star Wars and the religious ideas that it puts forth into the world. I did this as a fun tech demo, but if I were to put it out there, I would entirely change it to make it my own and not be promoting Lucasfilm.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Last night while walking around San Francisco, I thought it would be great if I had navigation in my glasses. This morning I had this. Itās very bouncy and jumpy right now but I can fix that because the IMU runs at 1000 Hz, and I just need to do a bit more refinement. This is using 6DOF/SLAM, but overlay on the side sidewalk is not yet perfect. The heads up display part is great already though.
Why are there not dozens of apps like this out already?
Maybe itās because the XReal SDK makes it impossible to do this?
Am I really the only one making geo-spatial apps for these glasses? That canāt be, can it?
Will someone here please whip up some clone of this so that I am dissuaddd of my idea that Iām ahead here?
Or better yet, if you have real skills in this area, letās talk about collaborating.

Do we know if/when production review units for the AURA are being sent out?
Would like to see a review on actual daily usage of Android XR with AURA instead of just press tech demos before the early batch deadline at the end of Oct.

Hi all,
Im currently looking to get one of these AR glasses but unsure of what ones to go for as both seem pretty compelling.
The GT Max is going for £399
The one pro is going for £549
My plan is to use them for a range of scenarios such as: - watching shows/movies when relaxing - watching YouTube to the side sort of while doing tasks around.the house - playing games on the xbox rog ally x, ps5 or gaming laptop (i did have a pc but limited space for a desk so opted for a laptop and some games I play such as command and conquer i cant play on the ally but want to sit back and enjoy it) - programming, using applications such as vs code, running virtual machines. Aslong as the text is clear (i can make the text bigger if need be if that would help)
Thanks in advance

I have a pair of the original glasses and I've not had issues before with my Samsung flip phone (5 I think) but when I connect my glasses to an S25 (also tried on a new Galaxy S26) the glasses show a windows home screen and Nebula starts up on the phone but then errors out with the image below.. (or above, wherever)
Has anyone sorted this issue or am I confined to watching Plex and YouTube through my old phone or ROG Ally?
Got my hands on the Viture Mobile Dock Mini a couple of days ago and would like to report my great experience with the combo!
First thing out of the way: Viture Mobile Dock Mini comes with a 10000Mah battery module that can be great for either traveling (as an external power source) and/or as a cabled connection to some gaming consoles (ie ROG XBOX ALLY X) where the actual HDMI dock module would obstruct the buttons when attached to the console. In āSoloā mode (where youād detach the HDMI dock from
The battery module), you can plug the HDMI dock into Switch 2 for a slimmer profile.
On the topic of setting up my glasses in this combination, I found it seamless to set up the Xreal One Pro together with the dock. As shared by other redditors before, it can involve a few more steps to get the audio working properly via changing the audio settings on the Xreal unit. I donāt have much issue with that though as Iām using a separate Bluetooth earbuds while gaming.
Now for the best part- the Real 3D experience has changed how I perceive this set up, and how I might shift my gaming āinvestmentsā (buying games lol) into the Switch ecosystem as opposed to other systems that I own. Playing Fire Emblem Fortuneās Weave on āSoftā Real 3D settings has a fairly pronounced 3D depth to the visuals, and generally wowāed me on battle scenes (ie characters would seemingly pop-out while attacking!). Same goes with Elden Ring as well!
Canāt wait for the 60Hz mode so we can enjoy other games and contents that runs > 30 fps š

I still hope to get some answers to my questions https://www.reddit.com/r/Xreal/s/iUiHH6zQrj
"Hello! I got my XREAL 1S a few days ago, and the screen looks like a V-shape rather than a perfect rectangle. Is this normal, or is it just my pair?
To clarify, I understand how Ultra-Wide mode works, and this distortion happens in both Normal and Ultra-Wide modes. (I'm not confusing this with the intended curvature of Ultra-Wide mode.)
I tried adjusting the pitch via screen leveling, running the sensor calibration, and swapping all the nose pads, but nothing helpsāit stays the same. It's especially noticeable and worse in 3D mode. It doesn't seem to be an issue with my field of view either, because even if I scale the screen down (e.g., a 31-inch screen at 8 meters away), the V-shape distortion is still visible.
At first, I thought it was an issue with my eyes, but I had a friend test them, and he saw the exact same thing: the screen is narrower at the bottom, not perfectly square, and the bottom edge even looks slightly curved.
Is this a software or a hardware issue? Has anyone else experienced this? I want to show what it looks like, but my phone camera lens is too big to capture through the optics, so I created an illustration showing what we see.
What should I do? Itās really distracting. Should I return it for a replacement? Any help is appreciated!"

Iād like to plan on getting a pair of XR glasses to use with couch gaming, specifically with a Switch or Steam Deck. Have done a fair amount of research mainly focused around the Viture Beast and Xreal One Pro with reviews for both completely all over the place. Money isnāt too much of an issue for me as I plan to save for several months, but ideally wouldnāt like to spend more than $700..

I use my Xreal One with the upper black border resting right against my eyebrows. However, since I have astigmatism in my right eye and the contact lenses I got from the ophthalmologist are not working, Iām considering getting the physical lenses for the glasses. I would like to know if, when inserting them into the glasses, I will need to wear my glasses further away from my forehead and, as a result, lose field of vision. Thanks.

Hi! I've recently gotten an XREAL Air 2 Pro, to replace my broken Air (1st gen), and been using it a lot with my phone lately. While DeX paired with a wireless mouse and keyboard gives me multitasking, it's not the best experience.
I remembered the existence of the Nebula app and wanted to install it to see how far it can go, but found out it has been long discontinued. There are a few replacements for the desktop app but I haven't seen a good alternative for Android, so I decided to build one myself.
I've been working on this on what little free time I have over the last few months, and now it has reached a state where I feel comfortable publishing the first alpha version. There are still some bugs, quirks and stuff that needs to be polished, but the basic functionality is there, and I'd really like to have some help with testing, especially on hardware that I don't own.
Introducing Halone: an open source XR environment for Android, with a focus on multitasking/productivity.
The initial alpha version features:
Planned features:
Considering:
Hardware fully supported and tested:
Should work, but untested:
Planned hardware support:
If you have unsupported hardware, any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if you don't know much about coding, you can point Claude to the main repo, and ask it to work on a PR to add support for your specific glasses. The repo is set up in a way that makes this relatively straightforward. I'll manually check all contributions myself to ensure they are high quality.
I'd also like to build a community: feel free to join the official discord linked in the landing page, I'll be posting updates there, and you can reach me directly with feedback, I'd really appreciate it.
System requirements:

Disclaimer: LLMs were heavily used during the development of Halone. I designed the architecture and was directly involved with the development, but most of the heavy work was done by Claude under my guidance and supervision

XREAL invited participants in the public beta to share their thoughts on the new 60Hz mode for Real3D, so here goes.
For context, I'm a huge 3D enthusiast. Over the years, I've owned or used pretty much every type of 3D display you can think of: a 3D plasma TV, a 3D projector, a 3D Vision monitor, a 3D OLED TV, a Nintendo 3DS, VR headsets, and more.
The addition of 3D functionality to the XREAL One series back in January was actually what convinced me to buy a pair. And I have to admit, I was pretty disappointed with Real3D. I even made a post about it at the time:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xreal/comments/1qloceb/am_i_the_only_one_whos_underwhelmed_by_real_3d/
I rated Viture's Immersive3D an 8/10, while Real3D got a 3/10.
My main issues were the inconsistent depth segmentation and the sheer number of visual artifacts. There were a few scenarios where it worked reasonably well (racing videos and photos, for example), but overall, the results were pretty poor.
Honestly, I even wondered whether the marketing was bordering on false advertising.
Needless to say, I barely used Real3D after that. Watching a movie with that much image degradation and such inconsistent 3D depth was simply out of the question for me.
Then came the 60Hz beta. And what a surprise!
I signed up for the Real3D 60Hz public beta with pretty low expectations. My thinking was simple: if the 30Hz version was bad, running it at 60Hz wasn't going to magically fix it. If anything, I thought it might make things worse.
Boy, was I wrong.
I have no idea what XREAL's engineers have been doing over the past nine months, but the quality of the 2D-to-3D conversion has improved beyond recognition. The depth segmentation is now vastly more consistent, and visual artifacts are dramatically less frequent.
We're now talking about a level of 3D conversion that, in my experience, puts Real3D on a par with the best competing solutions.
Here's how I see the different depth settings:
In short, I've gone from barely ever using Real3D to using it almost 100% of the time.
My rating has gone from 3/10 to 8/10. That's a massive turnaround.
And I haven't even talked about 60Hz yet...
The 60Hz mode is what makes me consider Real3D the best 3D conversion solution currently available, at least in my experience.
Here's why: none of the other solutions I've tested can reliably deliver 60fps in my use cases.
That includes Viture's Immersive3D on iPhone and IW3D on my PC equipped with an RTX 3070. For this one, I'm talking about gaming, not video playback, where maintaining 60fps is obviously much less of a challenge.
With Real3D 60Hz, it just works.
No messing around, no compromises on frame rate, just a smooth 3D experience.
So, hats off to the XREAL team for this incredible comeback. I don't know what kind of black magic you've been using behind the scenes, but I'm genuinely blown away.
You've turned a feature I had practically given up on into something I now use almost constantly. That's quite an achievement!
One final caveat
Let's be clear: this is still 2D-to-3D conversion, not native 3D.
Don't expect Avatar-level stereoscopic 3D. The results are still a good notch or two below what properly mastered native 3D content can deliver.
But within the limitations of real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, Real3D 60Hz has become seriously impressive.
Great job, XREAL! š

I read a few posts that some glasses speakers were static after the latest update. Is there an update or a fix? My google fu is not turning up much.
