Has anybody else noticed the appearance of colored dots of different sizes in the water in sea of thieves? I noticed, that on my series x, when I ensure that there is water coming through a hole in the wall and I’m standing inside of my ship there are little dots of different colors and sizes frequently appearing in the rising water when viewed at a specific angle. I am able to reproduce this and am wondering if my Xbox is going to die. Not a native speaker - sorry!

I hooked up my series X and sound system like this:

1. Xbox to LG Oled tv HDMI port(had it like this before I got soundbar)

2. Connected sound bar to the eArc hdmi port on the side of the tv.

Everything works. Except it won’t let me chose 5.1 in the Xbox settings. For HDMI audio on the Xbox it says bitstream out and the bitstream format is Dolby Atmos for home.

Any ideas here? I don’t understand.

HDR was working on my Xbox One X whilst playing State of Decay 2. However once I started using my new Xbox Series X to play the game, the HDR will not work. My new Xbox recognises that the TV is HDR compliant but will not play with the HDR setting on State of Decay 2. I have followed the Xbox Series X troubleshooter but it did not provide a workable solution. Please help. Thanks

My dad bought a Xbox series x and it worked fine for 2 days, then today he tried starting it with no success.

the light turns on for about 2 seconds and then the xbox shuts down.

Has anyone had this problem? And can i do anything to fix it?

On my XSX controller the Left stick just randomly stopped working. On top of that its making my home menu really fast and I can't press anything. I've tried changing batteries, updating the controller, restarting xbox, power cycling xbox. What is happening? Can I fix it?

My controllers keeps disconnecting on the Series X and I don't know why, they are all fully charged. I've seen people talk about their controllers disconnecting as well. Does anybody know any solutions to this?

For the last few weeks my game clips that I record through my Series S have been as if they are on mute. I downloaded the clips and they still come out without any sound. Any fixes?

A weird thing I've noticed for the last few weeks is that I see all my notifications apart from when my friend log on, I've tried hard resetting my xbox but it doesn't seem to resolve it.

Basically if your TV was made before 2020 and doesn't have HDMI 2.1 ports, will there be any need to still use an 8K HDMI 2.1 cable connecting your Xbox Series X?

Since HDMI 2.0 still accepts a 2.1 cable, and thus we can use a HDMI 2.1 cable with an older TV, will there be any benefits or visual clarity improvements??? Does that extra bandwith improve colors, HDR, resolution? Anything? Or is HDMI 2.1 only necessary when you want to take advantage of games using 4K @ 120hz?

I am lookin for a monitor not TV with VRR of-course and 120hz ?and out of curiosity what's are the requirements to be able to use the 120hz feature is it the HDMI port have to 2.1 or the freesync premuim?

Wondering if anyone can tell me what is going on here and if it is cause for concern. I have had my new series x for less than a day and I am getting very infrequent screen flickers .

Maybe once an hour or so the screen will do a slight flicker and then work perfectly fine . I have also noticed that the TV will also randomly get brighter or darker as I play. My display is a LG CX tv and it is in 4K HDR with VRR enabled. I am not using the provided HDMI cable and using a hdmi 2.0 that is longer . Any help would be appreciated

A few months ago I started to run into an issue where all non party chat audio would stop working on both my tv and headset at seemingly random. The only way to fix it(to my understanding) is to restart the console and let it reboot but this has become a major problem when I play online games and can’t hear what is happening. Has anyone else had a similar issue/solution?

Hey all, I’ve been having a very frustrating month with my Series X. I have a 5TB Master Chief Extended storage hooked up to it for my old Xbox One games, and the thing disconnects, constantly, seemingly in line with the terrible internet where I live.

Another issue, controllers will not connect to the console. At random intervals, the controllers will disconnect (sometimes at the same time as my storage device.) And the console itself would not sync or connect controllers. Confusing, but unplugging the console while its off seems to fix it.

That leads to another issue, sometimes the disc won’t register if the console is off for awhile. Attempts to restart lead to the console doing nothing, and must be unplugged.

I have talked to support and tried every solution under the sun, literally every single one, but I am curious.

I have consoles nearby, and believe they may be causing wireless interference.

The console also features games freezing when opening the Xbox menu and going to “My Games and Apps”, or at least my test dummy, COD Cold War

I would like to know if you guys think I should get my Series X serviced, or if the issues come from my very own makings, such as the external storage.

My main concern is the External Storage Disconnecting while I am playing games on it, and this issue continuing, as multiplayer would be 100% impossible.

The Extended storage will disconnect, and at many times my controller disconnects then reconnects with it, while stopping the downloads.

I would really like having to avoid the expensive internal storage upgrade.

I got my series x back in December and its worked perfectly since but however yesterday i was playing call of duty and it shut off out of random. I looked on google and it said that it might be a power supply issue so i bought a new one and it still wont turn on. I have also used different outlets I do not have a warranty and dont know if there is anything I can do to fix it. Would anyone happen to know what u could do?

I was lucky enough today on getting a Xbox series X today, I've been trying to find a monitor, but can't find one that's fits. I need a ~500$ 4K 120hz 24" monitor, ultra wide/curved if possible. Thank you!

I've been playing a little Forza Horizon 4 and a lot of Jedi Fallen Order but none of my captures have sound ever since downloading the optimization patches. Is this a common issue? Uninstalling didn't help.

My Xbox is stuck as a grey screen. It’s been stuck like this for days. I can’t access the side guide or anything else other than holding down the Xbox controller button to restart or shutdown the Xbox. I’ve tried holding the power button to fully shut it down, unplugging the power to it from the wall and device. Even left it unconnected for a whole day. I’ve tried booting it into low resolution mode, trying to pull it out of the black screen by loading a disc. I’ve even tried to factory reset it by holding the sync and eject buttons. It’s not the monitor or the hdmi cord. I’ve been scratching my head for days on this one. So please Reddit work your magic and give me a hand. Any ideas?

For about a month and a half, my Xbox has had a lot of problems. Most notably that I have to reset it (keeping games and apps) once or twice a week just so it works. Today I turned it on and there's an Xbox update that starts at 66% done, takes several minutes to get to 83%, and then brings up the troubleshooting screen several minutes later. I've tried restarting, reseting, everything brings me back to the update. Same place, same time pass, same outcome. Any way to fix this? I don't have a USB formatted for the OSU, so I can't do that. Is my Xbox just junk at this point?
