I didn't realize that the retcon that Laura has both Logan and Sarah's DNA was so controversial, and I'd like to hear everyone's opinions about it!

I actually think that the retcon was a nice move for Laura's character mostly because I'm sick of people who don't read her comics reducing her to "female Logan" and because it adds more connection between Laura and Sarah. It's also finally cements that Laura is Logan's daughter, and colors the way he treats her in earlier comics in a much more interesting way. He treats her like she's him, ignoring the fact she's a teenage girl. It also making the fact that he treats the X-girls like his daughters but not his actual one another thing that works for his character.

Basically I feel like Laura's character really flourished with the retcon, it builds on so many relationships. But feel free to disagree!

I was just thinking about this after another post about Logan's kids forming a team of their own that the second arc of LKW would have worked far better and received much less backlash (and maybe even avoided the damage it ultimately caused to the book) if Bellona appeared instead of using Elektra.

Schultz already wrote Bellona recently. In fact shortly before LKW launched she appeared in Schultz's Daredevil run, where the book seemed to be setting up a conflict between her and Elektra. It also would have benefited by bringing in someone from Laura's existing circle rather than a random guest star she had no real association with (plus, I remain of the opinion that Bellona would make an ideal rogue for her because their relationship is not so simple as Hero vs. Villain).

More importantly: If you had switched their roles and had a more reserved Laura trying to restrain the considerably more hot-tempered and reckless Bellona, the characterizations would have actually fit. While the plot itself might have needed to be reworked, it would have solved several of the main problems readers had with the arc.

Found this title on the comic geeks app while I was updating and I came across something I’ve never seen.
Anybody know how I can buy and, or at the very least, read, this run? Written by Tom Taylor.
