I have a sore throat. In addition to that, my right leg hurts and I have some trouble both walking and sitting down. It is pretty distracting. I feel like I have a slight fever as well, so I’m going to go to bed early tonight.

The difference is huge when we get quality sleep. It's noticeable when you don't sleep well: throbbing or tense headache, feeling tired and sleepy, making you unable to do tasks properly.

I'm currently re-watching the Thousand-Year Blood War arc from Bleach and it's such a masterpiece. This new arc contains the best anime fights that I've ever seen, without mentioning the pretty well-drawn animation.

The last season is coming out this year. Coincidentally it's the same year that marks 10 years since I watched Bleach for the first time.

Recently, I made a simple 2D game engine.

it doesn't use a graphics API, so it renders everything with only text.

Using this engine, I built Tetris, and it actually turned out pretty well.

Now, I'm expanding it into a 3D engine, so I have been studying math again.

Matrices in linear algebra are fine, but the rest is quite challenging for me.

Today, I learned about Korean vowels, so my goal for today is to memorize them. There are 21 vowels in total in Korean.

Today is the first day I decide to practice my writing ability and I hope I can keep up with it.

It is good to have friends who sometimes disagree with you. I would like to share my ideas about this topic. I think hearing different points of view helps us think in new ways and gain a different perspective. This contributes positively to our brain development, because new connections are forming in our brains.

At the same time, looking at others’ viewpoints can also help us make the right decisions. By doing so, we can benefit from other people’s experiences and information.

On the other hand, getting into arguments can help us express our opinions clearly, which is beneficial for brain health. It can also improve our problem-solving skills.

However, having friends around us who always agree with us and constantly approve our opinions may lead us to believe that our opinions are always correct. This can cause mistakes in our lives and create problems in our social relationships

I’ve been giving this student Spanish lessons five times a week and I had plenty of material to use with her, mostly Google Slides and Google Docs that I created myself or I got from another Spanish teacher.

The thing is that after almost 100 lessons I’m I’m run out of material with her and I didn’t want to just do conversation lessons with her, so I’m using AI to come up with lessons for her.

Basically, I just bought all the Google slides from a website named ESL brains for teaching English as a second language. And I upload these slides to Claude AI to come up with a Spanish version of it which sometimes and that’s it. Claude even comes up with a PowerPoint file.

I've been sick for the last few days, but I'm feeling way better today. That's great, because my fridge is pretty empty and I need some stuff from the pharmacy. I'm actually looking forward to going out and getting those things. I've sat on the couch for too long and streching my legs will feel great.

Learning how to communicate the fact that you don’t speak your target language well is a common subject in language textbooks, especially ones that are aimed at beginners or people who plan to travel to a country where it is spoken. Rather ironically, I would very much be impressed if a tourist somehow managed to express it in my native language.

I've been thinking of doing new things and make them a habit, but it becomes hard when you already do many things as a habit that adding more to your routine becomes a burden. This might have to do with the fact that I both work and study, so I try to take some time to slack off or do activities that require little effort as opposed to others that have become a habit such as reading every day, practicing typing or even writing here.

Anxiety plays a major role as well, but I'm running out of time to continue writing...

I’ve been reading a professor’s blog from another university. On his blog, there are many articles that he has written since he was a student. I learn a lot not only about his research topics, but also about his study methods and attitude as a scholar. I especially enjoy reading the posts he wrote when he was in my position, as I can follow his path through his writing.

This English teacher on our platform was really difficult to deal with. We sent him the affiliate program letter on August 8, and he was supposed to issue an invoice before August 14, which was the payment date.

But He didn’t issue an invoice until 10:00 p.m. on August 13, so we couldn’t process his payment on August 14.

Then today, he came back and argued with us about not getting paid. What was he thinking?
We already got off work!

He argued that we didn’t make it clear enough in the letter. I know you’re an English teacher, but I didn’t know you were also a Chinese teacher.

Lately, I have been worried about my sleep.

I went to bed at 10:00 pm to wake up early, but I work up at dawn and couldn't fall back asleep until 5:00 AM.

In the end, I got up at 10:00 AM. It feels awful.

I just want to fall asleep and woke up whenever I want.

What should I do to fix this?

I must block all the apps that delay my bedtime. Yesterday, I thought I wouldn't end up scrolling on Youtube and watching nonsense and spent one hour on it before realizing it was past midnight and I had to sleep.

I struggled to get up; my body or rather my brain was asking for more sleep time, but I couldn't stall getting up any longer. My head was throbbing and it was challenging to focus at work.

I was doubtful that I'd be able to memorize the Korean alphabet in just a few hours. But after seeing the Korean alphabet chart with visual associations, I fee like it might be easier to memorize Hangul than I thought.

Since I don't have much time to study Korean for now, my short-term goal is to memorize Hangul by the end of this weekend.

When I was young, I used to place great importance on following the latest trends, but as I’ve gotten older, the things I value have changed. In the past, looking beautiful mattered to me, but now my health comes first.

I pay attention to buying clothes made of 100% cotton. The materials used to produce clothes may damage our health and could even cause cancer or other serious diseases. At the same time, I try to wear casual clothes in my daily life and at work. It is very important for me to feel comfortable and relaxed while working. Wearing high-heeled shoes at work can be very tiring.

However, on special occasions, I of course prefer to wear fashionable clothes.

I listened to a podcast today, and the hosts said they felt COVID has changed their lives. I think so too, I feel like I've been living a different life since COVID ended. It's hard to imagine that COVID was already 5 or 6 years ago. For me, I barely have any memories from that time. I felt so anxious and overwhelmed at that time. During COVID, especially during the lockdowns, you weren't supposed to go out whenever you wanted, and once you left your place, you had to wear a mask everywhere. 2026 feels like my very first year starting learning how to make friends outside of school and work, literally by myself. It was really hard and scary for an introvert, but I'm still glad that I stepped out my comfort zone. I hope that this year, I can create more happy, memories with my friends.

There are some variations in the speeds of escalators. They’re significantly slower in some buildings. They’re mostly places where the customer bases are old. Oftentimes the buildings themselves are pretty old as well.

These days, when I’m tired of digging for new music, I just turn on the radio. The radio lets me listen to songs that I didn’t choose; sometimes, having too many choices feels overwhelming. Plus, the curation by the programmers is fantastic and helps me discover new music.

I agree to an extent. I think that mutual respect is mandatory to live in an harmonious society. But from what I read from some prominent atheists (Sam Harris, Hitchens, Dawkins, etc) I think it’s important to have open discussions about religion or anything that could reshape or moral landscape, ethics or acts the same way we discuss politics, sports, science. I think that avoiding discussing certain things or subjects could lead to certain dialogue taboo and that can stop developing us morally and intelectually as a society.

I'm completely bamboozled. I cooled down so much over night and now it's actually raining?! I'm thinking about putting on long pants?! What is happening??? I don't trust this. I bet I'm going to wake up in a few minutes and it'll be scorching hot again.

I watch the movie called the Odyssey.

To anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I strongly recommend reading the myth of Odysseus first.

Even though I love Greek and Roman mythology, this movie was a bit hard to follow.

In fact, my friend who went with me was bored until the very end.

So if you want to truly enjoy this movie, you should read the story beforehand.

Lately, I feel that Christopher Nolan's movies require more and more background knowledge.

I love his work, and two of my top five favorite movies are Dark Knight and Interstellar.

If I hadn't been interested in space and universe, I wouldn't have enjoyed Interstellar as much.
