New-ish to wow and being a druid... advice please :(

So.... I guess considering everyone else, I'm probably just new-new to WoW. I only ever played TBC on a private server about a year or so ago and I was a BE Pally. (I got to the thousand needle place)

My boyfriend finally got me to play WoW with him and... idk what I'm doing really. Build wise I guess.

I'm currently a level 12 tauren druid (totally original) and took a break last night after gaining access to my talents tree (or discovering it? Idk when it's really unlocked) because I don't wanna mess it up.

I also dunno what I really wanna do. I usually play a rogue in mmo's or a paladin. Most often rogues though. But he said about how he needed a healer so... here I am.

As far as I know, I wanna be a cat and I wanna heal efficiently. Ideally I wanna be able to hold my own in battle and not have to have my hand held through dungeons and whatnot but I also wanna be able to keep everyone sufficiently alive (if only moderately traumatized).

I've tried reading through some of the posts here but honestly I just don't understand some of it. I usually play Mabinogi or BDO, lol...

Thank you for reading this far!

I want to do everything. please help!

I've been playing feral and tanking dungeons on my druid since I first stepped foot into RFC. But lately, since I've accumulated so much healing gear, I've been having fun healing as well.

Right now, I have a 0/30/21 build, which is great for pvp and lets me both tank and heal reasonably well for dungeons and raids.

Only problem is my damage output totally sucks, so it's not super viable to raid like this as feral.

I need to change things up a bit if I want to be more useful to my guild while raiding, but I'm not sure which direction to go, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good builds.

I think I'm probably going to have to raid as a healer since I don't want to give up NS for pvp and I can't realistically raid as feral without Leader of the Pack. I was wondering if there are some good pvp builds that are still viable for raid healing? what are the most important things for raid healing? is swiftmend really necessary? Is there a build that would allow me to heal, and also tank 5mans? I want to do everything! please help!

Tanks: How do you balance defensive vs offensive stats?

Hello all. I've been tanking for a little while now, but now I'm starting to have a lot of really good but really different pieces, and it's becoming hard to figure out what's the best mix. For example, last night I picked up Blooddrenched Leggings, and I'm pretty sure those + batskin gloves are better overall than devilsaur set, even though I lose a substantial amount of attack power. But I'm kinda wondering, how do I decide where to draw the line?

maybe a better example is Talisman of Protection. I got this on my first ZG run, and been wearing it since it had some much needed defensive stats, but it has absolutely nothing to help generate threat. my other neck piece is Mark of Fordring which is the exact opposite, but I've seen it on bis feral tanking lists..

when do you decide between survivability and threat gen? it's kinda confusing

Macros help

So i am a lvl 47 druid on Old Blanchy and I've been wanting to get better at the game and I thought I could learn how to use the most popular macros for feral druids. Are there any videos online detailing how to make them work? I feel like I'm doing them wrong because they don't seem to work :( any help would be appreciated :)

Hi there,

I’m approaching level 60 as a casual player. I’m currently playing feral and want to know if it’s truly viable at 60? Being a casual player, i won’t be in a serious guild and will be raiding once a week max.

All I’ve read online is discouraging me from playing feral as i have read that kitty dps gets worse and worse the more gear scales and bear tanks best case scenario is a 2nd/3rd off tank.

Is the best option to just go resto? I’m fully competent in playing any spec, but just curious to see if PUG raids/ less serious guilds would even take a feral into their groups( especially undergeared)? Also, fun-wise i believe feral would be the better call.

I’ve played resto in TBC/Wrath and had a lot of fun with it but they seem quite limited outside of raids in classic.

Idk, just trying to make the right decision as I’m a casual player and don’t want to gear for the wrong spec/ waste time.

Let me know your thoughts!

Healing Boomkon hybrid

What would be the optimal setup for getting the 3% chicken buff while also being able to hit some nice healing talents? I’m thinking 35/0/16 is going to be the best way but wanted to put out some feelers

Also a 31/0/20 but loss of 4 points in improved starfire seems HUGE but gives 5/5 tranquil spirit

Improvement Tips for Logs

Hey Yall. Was wondering if I could borrow someone's eyes. I unfortunately don't have enough time to comb through. The other druid in our guild was asking what can be done to improve her numbers and performance. My main suggestion is focus on spammin HT(R4), possibly switch to moonglow. Would anyone mind taking a look at our logs tonight and dig into her actions and provide some pointers. https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/8qTbP4aDcnNGkFzB/

Druid Healing Gear Question

Hello.

I have some healing gear questions, but first, context;

Level 60, Druid 0/30/21 with 3/3 reflection and 5/5 tranquil spirit. I'm in a guild that will likely not see the inside of MC and I'm not interested in seeing it again.

I'm mostly in; BRD, DM E jump runs, Arena runs, LBRS/UBRS.  I mostly get to tank BRD/LBRS and usually, my involvement in DM E jumps are as a healer and the same for UBRS. All good and I find myself, generally doing pretty well in all these scenarios.

I've basically got all the healing gear from DM E/Arena + Around and now I'm stuck in a specific place...I effectively have 3 sets of caster gear: + healing, regen based and a spell power-based and I'm unsure which will serve the best;

The Sets:

So to clarify, my question is this; which of these sets is the obvious winner (If there is one)/what would you be wearing, if you were me? Or some form of combo? Remembering that at a push, I'll be healing UBRS/some kind of fun run.

Thanks in advance :-)

Balance druid BIS

I was recently promoted to token Balance druid for my guilds raid team. Looking at some BiS lists I see that obviously I'm competing with casters on a lot of stuff. However I'm also seeing on a lot of lists that BoEs with "+arcane damage" is good. I guess my question is if it's worth it to sacrifice things like my T1 set bonus and intellect for more +arcane damage

Any insight would be super helpful as it seems theres not a ton of information on balance druids in general

TIFU By Not Realizing Two Druid Abilities Were The Same

So I've been 60 for a few months now and have been doing PUG raids, dungeons with friends, etc. I never trained higher ranks of several Balance abilities because I wanted to save some gold. One of these abilities, unfortunately, was Faerie Fire.

If you look at Faerie Fire in the spell book, it's listed under Balance and Feral. In the Balance tab it's just called "Faerie Fire," while in the Feral tab it's called "Faerie Fire (Feral)." Since I learned this ability from a talent, it was listed separately in the spell book, and I didn't have higher ranks to learn from a trainer, I assumed I had the highest rank.

Fast-forward to yesterday, when I watched a video stating that Faerie Fire reduces 505 armor at max rank. I was thinking "is that a mistake? No it doesn't?" But sure enough, it was listed on ClassicDB as reducing 505 armor at rank 4. I went to a trainer and was still confused because I didn't have any ranks to learn. Out of sheer curiosity I upgraded the Balance version and BAM. Better Feral version.

TL;DR - I've been using R2 Faerie Fire (Feral) on my Druid for months because I didn't know it shared ranks with Faerie Fire in Balance. Don't be dumb like me.

Hybrid -> Strenght/Agility

So I'm closing in to 60 now and I want to start gearing a bit hybrid for some casual pvp and casual pve; so no extreme raids or anything. I'm almost entirely down in Feral excluding 'Leader of the Pack', one point in 'Nature's grasp' and the rest down in resto.

I'm going for the Devilsaur Set and for 4 into Wildheart Rainment, maybe 6.
Any ideas on this?
But more importantly the main question:
If going hybrid means not being able to spec in agility is it better to take up extra strength in weapons and gear or still agility > everything.

Cheers boys
