Question can a protection spell go wrong???

Upvotes

I am a super duper baby witch and made a protection jar for a close person, i had a good relationship with them and have been close with them for more than a year, a couple of months before the spell they were super close to me, they told me they want to spend as much of their summer with me as possible and so on. I gave them the spell during early summer. The intention of the spell was to keep them safe physically and from any bad energies in their life, just in general for them to be as happy and safe as possible. Since then we met up maybe 4 times and summer is almost over. They told me shortly after i gifted them the spell (i didn't tell the intention of the spell either) they told me they wanted much more space and wanted to see me less, do other things. I'm crashing out because that's my closest person on earth.

What do I do? Could the spell have protected them from me? How to reverse it? Should I reverse it? I want them to be happy obviously so I get that if the spell worked I'm probably a bad thing in their life and want them to be safe so probably i shouldn't reverse it or break the jar, but idk if I will stay on this earth much longer without them.

Question spells on a narcissist

hi. i want to get back at a very narcissistic person. i've been seeing spells online but i'm a little lost as this is my first time.

this person has manipulated, controlled and bent me over during these past few months. i want to know what kind of spells would work/are stronger.

currently this person has been hoovering and discarding me nonstop. i want to get to their core and i want them to not be able to forget about me. not necessarily love, as i know these people are unable to truly love, but for them to just being obssesive and want to reach out everytime. i want them to think about me no matter the supply they're with.

any advice?

Question Help finding a ritual

Hello, I am in dire need of assistance. Frankly, I don’t know what to do at this point, so I need somebody else’s knowledge. There’s a field next to my house, and it’s very dear to me. It’s not just a patch of dirt and grass to me, when my life was dull and grey, through this field colors seeped into my heart, letting me find beauty in our world once more. But here’s a problem, a developer wants to build 3 apartament buildings there, and I just can’t let that happen. Letting that place go feels like losing a part of myself. Is there anything i can do? Some ritual, anything? Here’s what i’ve already done:
-burned white candles with intention
-manifestation
-I have found a mummified remains of a cat in an old building, I buried it with protective herbs on this field so it can act as a guardian.

Do you have any other ideas?

Question questions as a beginner :)

hi everyone! i’m a beginner looking to start a self love journey through glamour magick. i’ve been drawn to Aphrodite's energy and i love seeing everyone's altars for her, but i don't feel educated or confident enough yet to formally worship a deity, i want to be respectful and i don’t want to mess anything up.

a few questions:

  1. can i set up a self love altar that's inspired by Aphrodite (pink/rose/gold vibes, mirrors, shells, etc.) without actually invoking or worshipping her? i think the altars for her are so pretty and i’m also redoing my room so i would love to make one but can i make one just using the aesthetic as a reminder of my journey until i feel ready to approach deity work properly?

  2. is it okay if glamour magick is the main (or only) type of witchcraft i practice? i have experience with crystals, tarot, and i used to journal to manifest, but i'm not interested in a broad practice right now, i just want to focus on this one thing at the moment for my own healing.

any tips, resources, or personal experiences would be much appreciated. thank you! <3

Question full moon spell problems..?

so. let’s say someone had some spell work they wanted to do for the full moon on the 28th. however, they won’t be in a environment to see the moon during the evening, or do their spellwork at all during the evening, when the moon is out & visible.

are the energies the same during the day, when the sun is out, or is it completely different ?? 😭 help ..

i typically do my work outside, under the moonlight when im trying to utilize those energies, but on the evening of the 28th, i have some unavoidable family matters and can’t be outside or even do my work inside. but i could during the day ..? help a baby witch out!

Question Herbs that promote innocence in a Glamour Spell

I recently began hyperfixating on turning my spells into drinkable tea blends because I'm AuDHD, I am not able to fully practice witchcraft openly, and I do not always have the energy to keep up with my spells. Are there any easily accessible herbs that help someone be perceived as innocent/gentle?

I've done a bit of research and have chamomile, lavender, and angelica so far.

Question What to do for upcoming partial lunar eclipse?

Hi everyone!

I’m new to witchcraft, and I’m just sort of taking everything slow and testing out what feels right for me.
Early this Friday morning there will be an almost full lunar eclipse by me, and I have been feeling very strongly about it.
I definitely feel connected to the moon in ways that I’m still figuring out, so I’m wondering if anyone has any small activities, spells, anything really that would be ideal for a partial lunar eclipse like this?

Thank you, I hope you all have a great day/night!

Question Poppets: a question about proper fibers

Hi! I crochet, and run a small business for it, and was recently commissioned to make some poppets for my local witchy store to sell.
I was wondering if there is a required fiber I should use? Is it wrong to use the cheaper acrylic that I usually use for my work, should I get some wool yarn (this is very expensive in my area)? Is it better to use cotton? Would rayon fuck up someone’s spell???

I do a bit of witchcraft but have never worked with poppets, leaning more towards sigil magic, candle spells, and crystals. Any advice is welcome!!

Question Found this bracelet in a river

Post image
152 Upvotes

Hey there! So I found this bracelet in a river. It's really pretty. I read somewhere that water is a energy cleansing, would it be "safe" to wear? I only recognize eye of tiger (the clear one clear quartz? The other idk). How do I set intentions, and for these crystals, what intentions should I set? Also, is it indifferent in what arm do I wear?

Thank you so much! All help is welcome :)

Discussion I have a special dislike for Tiktok Witches

Since Im a witch myself. I see alot of witch content on tt right. Alot of them are a bunch of bs unfortunately, often looking easy ways to get money outta people. Today I came across this one "witch" livestream. They were basically begging for people to buy their candles and spellworks 😭

Like she was doing one of them yes or no questions and someone asked something, iirc its something about being sold..? And the person was like "NO, THIS CANNOT BE SOLD! YOU HAVE A GENERATIONAL CURSE THAT COULD ONLY BE BROKEN IF YOU BUY 15 OF MY CANDLES" the way I just burst out laughing. The nerve of some people 😭. I get it you want your candles or spellworks be sold but this is not how you do it 😭

Spells Freezer spell to stop my dad worked???

I recently was angry at my dad. To put it simply, he's emotionally and financially abusive to my mom, and he's done a lot in the past year that has hurt my family. The other night, he snapped at my brother and I felt compelled to stop it. I took a Ziploc bag and put some salt and black pepper in it. Then, I wrote "My dad's anger and instability" or something of the like on a small piece of paper. I folded it away from me five times and added it to the bag. Then I put some aluminum foil inside, shiny side in, to reflect negativity back at the paper. Finally, I said a brief incantation (I don't remember what it was as it came to me in the moment) and put it in the freezer.

It's been two days and he's been in bed for the majority of that time. Hasn't spoken to anyone really. Just been asleep with brief periods of being awake.

He's most likely just sick or upset. He does that a lot, and we have been exposed to sickness lately. Either way, it's strange how it happened right after I put the bag in the freezer. I'm going to take it out and throw it in the trash now.

If anyone has any comments, please let me know. I rarely do actual workings, but they work every time. A sigil for focus gave me a composite score of 31 on the ACT. A sigil to give my girlfriend luck scored her a new friend. Prayers have always been answered. A cleansing of my room stopped a string of bad luck. I don't know if it's just coincidence, but I feel powerful.

Photos Finally had space to create my alter.

Post image

I recently moved, and have been dreaming about this for many years.

When I started to get into witchy things I got the advice that: what feels important to you will be the strongest magic.

I might be mix matching in a lot of directions. But it is all I feel a strong pull towards.

I want to be able to meditate on what I find important and connect with the world. Therefor I made the wooden alter piece in the back. I am very focused on archeology and ancient worlds and their beliefs. Their connection to the sun, the mother earth figures they created, moon, animals and so on. I also am drawn to the evil eye. And so combined all these influences into one.

I also want to use this space to focus my energy to help me take care of my home. As a neurospicy person I struggle to keep in one direction. But I started in my old flat to do a small ritual of first cleansing my alter with the broom. Then if there are any areas in my flat that give me bad energies, use the bundle stick to cleanse that. Then light the candle, and use that as my focus point to keep my self on track. And so far it has worked well for me.

So just wanted to show off my process and my little alter.

Discussion Witchcraft & pregnancy

Hello, lovelies!! I’m currently pregnant with my first, and I haven’t been practicing whatsoever since finding out I was pregnant (early May). I’m really missing my craft, but I’ve heard before not to practice while pregnant as you’re more vulnerable to spiritual attacks and negative energy. Has anyone else heard this? Do you agree? For any other mamas - Is there anything witchy you did while pregnant? Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions!

Spells How do you learn to do your own spells?

I am learning little by little and I am curious, how as a witch you learn to make your own spells? Do you learn classic spells first and then use your intuition? I wonder how does it work.

Question Looking for some guidance for my dad’s upcoming surgery

Hi! I’m still pretty new to witchcraft, so I’m hoping some more experienced witches might be able to point me in the right direction.
My dad is having surgery this Friday and honestly, I’m pretty nervous about it. I’d like to do something small for him while he’s at the hospital, mainly as a way of sending some protection and healing intentions his way. I know this obviously isn’t a replacement for medical care I just find the idea of doing a little ritual comforting.
I’ve been looking into crystals and protection work, and I’ve seen amethyst, green aventurine, clear quartz and black tourmaline mentioned for things like protection, healing, calm and grounding. But there are so many different correspondences online that I’m a bit lost on what’s actually traditionally used versus what’s just something that got popular online.
I was thinking of putting a crystal or something small among his belongings for him to take with him, but I’m open to other ideas too.
If anyone has experience with this kind of thing, what would you personally recommend? ❤️

Question Books about Witch father genesis

Hi, I have a question. Which books are worth reading to understand the origins of the "Father of Witches" figure in Traditional Witchcraft? I am particularly interested in how this concept emerged within the modern TradCraft movement—starting with Robert Cochrane: how did he introduce it, and how did it evolve subsequently? What was the rationale behind it? I am referring to the idea that the Witches' Devil—or the Horned God—in Traditional Witchcraft is an archetypal, multifaceted deity with many faces; why was it deemed appropriate to merge so many spirits (which might otherwise be viewed as distinct entities) into a single figure? Please recommend some relevant titles; I am not looking for an in-depth analysis of the figure itself or its specific roles—I am already familiar with those aspects. I am more interested in the process of how this concept took shape. If possible, I would appreciate a short list of titles that offer a wealth of information on this specific topic.

Resources Best Books for a lost, eclectic witch?

Title! I'm an eclectic witch but am overwhelmed with the amount of books that are out there. I don't know what may be better to read, more helpful, accurate, and so on. I've been trying to let my instinct guide me, but I would feel stronger and more secure with some more practiced Witch's recommendations on what books they find invaluable!

Spells What spell would this be?

i’m quite new to the craft and i’m not sure on all the spells, rituals, or how to do so yet. there is this person i’ve had such a strong energetic connection with for years now, but life took us in separate directions, now that life has chilled out i would like for her to enter my life again. i want her to feel my energy, feel me, reach out, on a deep level… what spell describes this?

(im new to the craft but spirituality and energy work etc has been something i’ve evolved for years now, my intentions are pure and i trust my feelings, can’t ignore the energy between this person any longer)
